How to teach your puppy to heel - 1st lesson

In this session I'm introducing my 15 week old border collie Davy to a proper heel position. My goal isn't to teach heel for the obedience ring but rather a practical way to walk together, off or on leash, without me tripping over him and where he stays on whichever side I put him on. I always teach this on both sides and starting by working off leash is actually easier in my experience.
