I’m not acting like he was one of the top best Presidents by any means. But he is such a good person. He said what he felt, he tried to do what was right. He’s not a bad person, unfortunately with the inflation and gas prices of 1979 and the Iran Hostage Crisis he just had bad luck. But he still felt like a real leader and someone who wasn’t abusing his power. I really like him despite some of the bad things he’s done during his presidency. I read his book “ an hour before daylight”, which tells you why he acts and behaves the way he does. His upbringing on a farm, Christian teachings, understanding the devastating effects of sharecropping among farmers, having friends of all colours, the hard work he had to endure, and the fact that his father is a disciplinarian speaks volumes for his benevolent actions later in life.
Amazing! President and Mrs. Carter are most honorable and caring. Their goodness, honesty, humility, and strength of character are what we the people need most in our first families.
