Is there a way to incorporate google docs, sheets, screencastify? I already have assignments made on some of these and would like to use them again, but I understand we will not be using Google Classroom for Distance Learning this coming school year. Also, is there a way to transfer quizzes from G.C. to Schoology? Thank you.
Schoology integrates with Google. You will just connect your google drive and have students connect their google drive to their accounts. It can also host your videos that you create from screencastify

When I have uploaded say a reading passage and questions that are in a word format.... it will allow it to be opened in schoology and edited; however, it does not give you an option to submit it. If you "x" out of it, then it gives you the submit option but then the form is blank. All of that to ask, how to you upload documents you already have done in word/docs, have students type in their responses, and then submit to you?
Everything looks great!! The only question I have is that when you grade a test, does it get put into their gradebook?? Or do you have to manually enter them?

This year schoology did some modifications. It is now called powerschool for schools and districts and allows for more tools. I am still using the free version. I don't link it to my school grading program. I am required to mainly use google classroom this year, however next year when things are semi back to normal I plan on making this my go to LMS platform again. I think it would work great for any school but you might want to look into the paid version if you want more features. They removed some features when they modified it this year
I like the organization and how students can easily access the assignments. But when they access the quiz folder, do they only see the one quiz you want them to take, or all of them?
You can set it so that only the quiz you want them to see is published to them. You can also disable a quiz or enable it to start and stop on a certain time and day preventing students from taking it when you don't want them to
How did you create that Introduction screen with the Schoology App in the back and you talking in front of it? That will capture a students attention. Do you need a Green Screen for that?
Hi, yes I use a green screen and then imovie for the editing. You can see my progression of videos from how I first did them to how I now do them. I am now working with powtoon and plan on doing a combination of green screen with powtoon
Sorry to hear that. Powerschool bought schoology and have been making some changes. One change it seems is that they are no longer allowing individual teachers to use the basic plan. Your school now has to sign up. It is unfortunate

Hi, I only have the basic program and I've been using it for years. I do have to manually import my grades to my districts grading program but the features that I love are still there.
I love using google classroom when I want my students to complete digital notebooks or digital lab reports. However, as stated in my opinion, schoology does a better job at organization and with assessments. If Google Classroom is what you prefer then that is great. Everyone should be able to use the program that works best for them.

Unfortunately I do not. Schoology does have groups that you can join. Perhaps they have a group for elementary school teachers

I think if you district sets Schoology and your electronic gradebook to "talk" to one another, you absolutely have grades imported into your gradbook.
As F. Marie said, if your districts grading system is linked with it then it will, otherwise you will need to put them in manually

About how long did it take you to get that many resourses?
I have been using schoology for over five years. My standards changed three years ago so I have been modifying as I go

Hi, schoology is a platform on the internet so it is available for any device that can go on the internet. They also have an app for mobile devices.
i think my school is using it this year for the kids who choose to do virtual school, but nice video, helps explaining it to a student!! 😂😂💀💀

I agree the app version is not the best and needs some work. I use it only when needed. The website version is the best option
You use mud slinging (against Google Classroom) to promote Schoology. That is pretty low.
