I, myself, was there at the Cruces show. I left right after Metallica. I had NO interest in seeing GnR, much less wait two hours on a bunch of egotistical junkies. Fuck those dicks.
I was in 6th grade when my mom took me to the show in Pittsburgh..she liked GnR...i hated them..i was there for FNM and Metallica..when all of that stuff was going on, it made me like Faith No More even more...i think most of the hatred or irritation was mostly aimed at Axl. IDK the only thing i thought was cool about GnR was Slash’s hair.
I Love Faith No More and Mr. Bungle. But I really don’t get why Mike cried all the time about being a little band that said other big bands didn’t help them. Then when they did he would talk shit and shoot himself in the foot. We all know Axls ego was beyond the fucking earth in the early 90s. But Patton himself is just as guilty 🤷♂️
I was a huge fan of GNR in the 80s early early 90s during my teenage years. The older i got however, the more immature GNR seemed to me. The fans, shows never seemed important. All the antics and controversies between bands, if i had to put up with all that crap they pulled on that tour (and other tours) i'd be pissed too. It should be said, "GNR was at the top and had it all, but never acted like they wanted it and threw it all away because they couldn't grow up"
Metallica started before GNR because they didn't want to show up late which GNR did at every show. Metallica came out on top on that tour, while GNR where morons.
For Axl to not return their negativity in spades shows he is not the big prick everyone tries to pin him as being. He basically gave them a chance of a lifetime to tour with the biggest rock show possibly ever and in return they bash on him at night before he goes up?! Then again in interviews!! He finally just had a talk with them and later after giving them a walk sits down for some wholesome entertainment and is good enough to invite them along. I honestly cannot say I would be that cool. My history is 'you get me I make you wish you never even heard my name by the time I am done with you." I try never to start shit but quite often will end it. One cannot imagine the audacity of Faith No More doing these things... great album or show, whatever the case someone gives you a major break and you make shit out of them publicly? WOW! As far as balding FNM guitarist was pretty thinning himself as I recall from their videos and who the hell cares anyway. Musicians have been wearing wigs and extensions since before anyone can recall. Seriously, do you ever wonder why not any of the Rolling Stones, WASP, Poison, Warrant, Led Zepplin etc don't go bald? Maybe it is magic... or just a great cosmetologist! Only the person themselves or a groupie would care about such crap anyway... the music is what counts. Honestly the reason they make fun of Axl is they are all jealous of him. He has more talent and at the time was better looking, had more money and got hot chicks so they hated that they had less and resented him for it. The only thing they could do is run their mouths to anyone who would listen. Lucky for them he was cool back cause many would not have been!
I remember Helmet, they came and went fast. One chick from college when Helmet was popular, argued with me that they were bigger than Slayer. Yeah! D'oohhh K!
@@bigboy9661 - They do, I'm very sentimental about them. I think they were a major catalyst in ushering in the new wave of metal in the early and mid 90's

Lol Guns & Roses are great. So are Faith No More & Metallica. You're a very lucky man to see all 3 great bands in 1 go...
Your mum is cool, no mum jokes please
I was there...Three Rivers Stadium. One of the few stadium shows I've been to and to this day one of the most insane show I've seen.
I like Faith No More way more than either of those bands. Great band.
when ego vs a bigger ego clash...
It should be said, "GNR was at the top and had it all, but never acted like they wanted it and threw it all away because they couldn't grow up"
What they said in the first 24 seconds changed my life forever.
Is it just me or does Jim Martin come across like the love child of Tommy Chong and Garth from Wayne’s World?
6:29 Love that funeral scene. I mean you were talking limos bit it's a funeral..lol
I’d like to listen to patton and axl on the same song...it would be like listening to 50 singers all togheter
yeah, but mike would be like 49 lol
You cant get any better than Mike Patton. He had a bigger range than Mercury.
I wish Faith No More had been playing at Wembley on Aug 31st 1991 instead of Skid Row, would have been amazing to see them live.
It's funny in a semi related way cause Greg P loved G+R
I was there at Wembley 1992 when Faith No More blew GNR off the stage, true story
No you weren't
dereksmallsuk yes I was
dereksmallsuk literally explain to me word for word why you think I wasn’t there?
@@leeknott2171 No.
Lang Hansen saw who?
I'm amazed how you manage to censor all the "f-bombs"
your house seems to be located beautifully. with direct entry into the forest
Riki Rachtmann: "Everything going good with Guns N Roses? Cause if not, I'm telling them."
Bitchass.
Saw the 92 tour at Williams Bryce I think was the name of the stadium? Mike Patton asked the fans for $2 dollars to buy a beer 😂 Gimme 2 dolla!
Faith no more has always been one of the best bands ive ever seen
Mike Patton. The OG of trolling
He was, he made fun of everyone
That's the oldest troll you've heard of?
I remember Faith No More playing to an empty stadium
Faith No More rocks
Both rock.
I wish Jim and Mike got along better. What could have been.
Mike took FNM beyond their comfort zone. Jim didn’t like his role on AD.
Im pretty sure Jim was at odds with thr whole band
I guess growing pumpkins is better than touring the world and banging sluts.
Metallica started before GNR because they didn't want to show up late which GNR did at every show. Metallica came out on top on that tour, while GNR where morons.
BLAH ! No matter what AXL ROSE is 👑 KING
Simply the ROSE perfect in every moment of its existence
king asshole
I'm not interested in Guns and Roses... they're very vanilla... Faith no more is dark licorice... Good stuff...
Gnr were outclassed by FNM tenfold
I had that Helmet shirt that Billy is wearing at 2:24. Ironically Faith No More and Helmet was my very first concert when I was 15
I remember Helmet, they came and went fast. One chick from college when Helmet was popular, argued with me that they were bigger than Slayer. Yeah! D'oohhh K!
@@shrapnel77 - They stuck around for a few albums but they exploded and kinda fizzled out over the next decade or so. No, not as big as Slayer....haha
Helmet has some badass records
@@bigboy9661 - They do, I'm very sentimental about them. I think they were a major catalyst in ushering in the new wave of metal in the early and mid 90's
You forgot the part where Mike Patton took a shit in Axl's orange juice.
at the 5 minute 20 secound mark the announcer finally answers why faith no more disrespected guns and roses,it was to get attention.
I saw that show at RFK
FNM was to GnR
What GnR was to Iron Maiden 5 years prior
I've always admired Mike's brutal honesty. He calls things how he sees it.
Guns N Roses were like a military unit. Grunge followed behind, enjoyed the pillage off of a machine that tore through the Nation. Any Seismologist could indicate the episode of Rock n Roll. KISS is in the soul of everyone, and 9-5's are yours if you don't work towards your dreams. Axl must have heard the truth.
What are you babbling about?
Mike Patton and axl rose... Best hard rock voices
Layne Staley will always be my favourite vocalist. Patton's range is awesome but Layne blows most of them out of the water IMO
Scott Weiland smoked both of 'em
I should have run away from home to go to those shows. What was I thinking.
In a parallel world: faith no more headlines show with pubic hair-like bands such as Guns N’ Roses and
Metallica .
How often do bands interact on the road ?
Faith no more wipe the floor with GNR
Sounds like Patton has an inferiority problem. They all made good faith efforts to him and he had to be a smart ass and be passive aggressive. I like both these artist btw.
I saw the tour in foxborough ma awesome show
I'm fine. Not sure yet if there's a problem now. Gnite!
Saw them on that tour. Twice.
soooooo, the only band behaving like adults and professionals was metallica? got it.
Did anyone like touring with GnR
They DIDNT want posters of Slash saying nice things? 😵💫… umm I would be STOKED if Slash said good things about my band when I used to see him around town back when
When faith no more played Brixton l saw Jim Martin in the pub down the road from the academy,I asked how they were gonna top angel dust he said wait and see ,he never did though.
