This is a very clean 19’ 500EXC-F headed to Baja for a week long joyride. What you’ve got here is a very capable machine that can handle any any part of a Baja run of pretty much any length or intensity.

The wide or XL seat I tried those and it felt a little unbalanced in twisty trails and making quick sharp u turns I never felt properly seated so I installed the comfort low seat by Seat Concepts instead of the wide or XL seat because I can move around on the seat when I have to for better balance on my 2022 Six-Days 500 EXC-F. Note: I did keep the Seat Concepts wide XL standard factory height seat for long haul comfort touring that doesn't require a lot of finesse seating maneuvers. Love the video and keep them rolling.

desert ride i perfer drum brakes .... i have broken enough disks!
i went to see if i could finish...which didnt happen all three times. but 620, 445 qnd 712 but i went and even breaking was good..locals got me off the trail. broke forks, transmission lock up and broke frame at motor mount. i saw a bunch of buggies and bikes just left for scrape. and that is what the locals do! repair and sell them...

Bike will not run w/o battery power. Kickstarter doesn’t help.

Yeah I was thinking.....if battery is dead, why can't you bump start it?
If electrical is dead kick starter wouldn't change that.
Tho I would like to have the kick starter just for the sake of it.

Yeah,a capacitor is a must,your stranded without one,need a small compressor after you plug a flat with tubliss as well.
A globetrottin’ rack and a giant loop mojave or mosko reckless 40 soft luggage setup is a no brainer when your out in the middle of nowhere,with a few essential tools to get yourself up and running again,should
you run into a problem.
Most beginners don’t realize the prep involved if your actually going to head out and ‘get you some adventure’.

Won't fuel pump not work if battery is dead? What's the point of Kickstarter if fuel pump won't work?

You are correct... I would assume Incase of actual starter failure or button failure.

There's a wide gulf between the point at which the battery won't start the bike and the point where the battery won't run the fuel pump.

You can put a capacitor on the bike so you can run the bike without a battery
