There s a sudden influx of retro anime from Toei lately here on YT. I literally teared up on the Tranzer sequence as memories of the 90's overwhelms me. My body still remember the "Daimos stretching" after transformation!

I must have been only 4 or 5 years old, but it had such a profound effect on me that it inspired a life-long love of animation & martial arts, as well as sparking an interest in wider Japanese culture. 本当にありがとうございました！
Daimos has always been one of my favorite units in the Super Robot Taisen game franchise, I've been a huge fan since 2010, which was the date I started playing SRW 4

Director/Producer/Film Maker Guillermo del Torro most definitely must have seen Daimos and took the idea with the "physical link" and tweaked it to a "mental link" with his Mecha film Pacific Rim.
I remember that i have seen this anime brieftly in 1982 from TV of my fellow's house since at that time my home did not have color that could detect Channel 9 properly. I need to wait until 1983 when my dad had purchased Color TV to see the anime on Channel 9.

Pewnie dlatego ostatni odcinek pozostawia niedosyt, jeśli idzie o zakończenie całości. Dalsza fabuła miała dotyczyć znalezienia domu dla Baamisjan, którzy mieli się ostatecznie osiedlić na Marsie (miał zostać poddany terraformacji, w czym mieli pomóc ziemianie - Kazuya i Daimowik mieli polecieć na Marsa). Pewnie najpierw wszyscy wróciliby na Ziemię, odbyłyby się rozmowy pokojowe, potem pewnie padłby pomysł z Marsem. Daimos miał zostać naprawiony. Można śmiało obstawić ślub wiadomej pary. Jakoś tak by to wyglądało. Poza tym ciekawe, czy gdyby powstało te dodatkowe 6 odcinków, to czy bitwa na Małym Baamie byłaby bardziej rozbudowana i przebiegła jakoś inaczej czy coś. Kurde, szkoda że Daimos nie miał w Japonii takiego wzięcia jak w Polsce, bo wtedy dostalibyśmy do obejrzenia całą planowaną historię.
I cried now for moment , first from 28 years I saw this again (I was 10 years) when I was child I was in love with Richter :) I know its strange (but he wasn't bad man, just was loyal to his own people as we are to our own,but...he is often blinded by his desire for vengeance,anyway his death is sad, he found out that he was deceived because the traitor -killer of the king was in their ranks and it was not a human) of course I like Kazuya too but I prefer Kyoushirou (jet pilot)
Trippy thing about this Anime is that with all the trouble the Aliens went though to conquer humanity all they really had to do was show themselves and the people of earth would have immediately bowed down to them cause they look like Angels.

Japan robot Cartoons from the 1980s are Legend, shows even today. Among all the robots at that time, Voltus and Mazinger were my favorites.
