The best part of Gabriel Iglesias gift basket story that wasn't mentioned was how G Reilly never have to lift a finger for payback, Gabriel's fans did that for him by making a Mexican gift basket to give to him.🤣

The beautiful thing about Fluffy and his stories, is that they are all 100% true. He may embellish things like the individual reactions and voices to help sell the humor, but all of his stories happens pretty much exactly as he tells it.
The way I screamed "YES!!!!! Lets go!!!" After seeing this pop up on my feed is crazy🤣

Fun Fact: He got some gift baskets of his own. One included:

Right? The summer camp I went to as a kid served fried chicken and watermelon on opening night every year, and it was the only meal no one ever complained about.

Fluffy is one of the best of the best. And him bringing G. Reilly out to Hawaii on that tour? Effectively giving the man and his immediate family a tropical vacation and it cost them almost NOTHING! And he KNOWS his buddy is gonna wrap up each night of the show by roasting him!!! And Fluffy doesn't care, because he knows it's all comedy GOLD for the audience and that's all that matters! Now THAT is a CLASS MOVE right there!!
Fluffy has a follow up on this story where he does a show in Mobile, Alabama and he receives a racist gift basket in the middle of his show and the guy manages to turn the entire crowd against him to open the basket live on stage. It's hilarious
This is one of the funniest stories that Fluffy has told. Absolutely recommend more of his stuff!

When I saw that Alicia was reacting to the Gift Basket story, I thought "Oh. Oh! OH! OH FUCK! She's going to go ballistic! She is going to have a few choice words about all of the items in that basket. I wonder if she's going to laugh her ass off at the receptionist and the comment about $50?"

I think one of the things that made this work was the fact that, objectively, that basket was fire. That sounds like a better gift basket than most I’ve actually seen. So it was kind of a built in apology/prize/idk something. Like if he described the basket over the phone as originally planned, if he loves that stuff, he’s getting excited over something cool only to realize partway through it was a joke and now he doesn’t have some good food. So it’s just mean, racist, and he’s *more* hungry. Idk how to describe it, but it’s definitely the kind of prank you can only pull on someone you know really well.
Also this routine never fails to make me crave fried chicken.
I've watched Gabriel Iglesias since I was a kid. From his half season on Nickelodeon, to his short time on a top comedia contest (he got disqualified for bringing a cellphone.) Fuck, I felt so depressed when Fluffy announced on his Hawaiian special that his mom passed away shortly after finding his father. I felt so emotional for him.
Where as other comedians try to be funny making fun of people or beating people down, Gabriel's stories are just so honest, natural, and wholesome.
The fact that this is your first sighting of Fluffy, is amazing. The Gift basket is always a great one.

Fluffy's stories are always a good time, and never fail to make me laugh until I cry. He's up there with Jeff Dunham, and Jeff Foxworthy in comedy.
On the note of "Did he say Athena?", there's also the hotel receptionist with "Eeee-glacias wit' a i! You didn't say I-glacias, you said Eee-glacias!"
And with stereotypical foods, what person *doesn't* like fried chicken!?
And for the hot sauce, there's a Dropout (formerly College Humor) vid about an interracial date where he's doing his best to evade the stereotypes (e.g. getting there 15 minutes early, etc.), only for the waitress to bring out a bottle unprompted. "Mother *fucker* - I mean I'm gonna use it, but still!"

Gabriel Iglesias and John Pinette (RIP) are my two favorite comedians. The gift basket is one of the best stories I've ever heard.

Yay! Iglesias is hilarious. Seen him live and met him once irl. Met him way way back when i was still just a teenager managing a fast food place. His silly self came through my drive thru sounding like an overly excited white woman and I couldn't help but die laughing when i saw him roll up to my window. We had a good conversation about real life stories making the best comedy and he did a bunch of random celebrity voices. Definitely the most memorable famous person i met doing that job

Like when Gabe was given his own racist Mexican gift basket in Alabama, his shows in India and Saudi Arabia, or his story of his health and losing weight. I feel Alicia would resonate with that last one, as she has a penchant for self-depreciating humor.
