I'm thinking Dicks sporting goods, or Lowes or Home Depot......Walmart had VASTLY larger and BETTER selection of pocket knifes, and their fishing department in ALL literally makes Dicks fishing department look like they got into fishing products and accessories LITERALLY THAT MORNING 🙄 Yes 99% of the time Walmart will have a specialty department blowout any store that devotes their entire sq footage to that hobby..
Now for me the best type of worms to get for trout would be Berkley powerbait trout floating worms, I believe they come in a pack of 15 and the color I use is peel Orange. I put one on a trout magnet Jig head cast it out and very lightly bounce or jig them off the bottom. Sometimes by using them, I do start a feeding frenzy with the fish.
I've used the creme worms for bass. And trust they weigh literary nothing. On a 3/0 hook weightless it sinks a foot a second at the most. I was waiting 10 seconds before it hit 6ft bottom. I can see them being used as a float worms in a way.
I have a Rooster Tale in Fluorescent Orange with Black Spots on it from Walmart. I had to flatten out the barbs on it. The Northern Pike on my lake inhale the damn thing. I was injuring to many Pike trying to get the hooks out. The Pike want it they want it bad.
Couple of those I haven’t tried, but I see em in there all the time when I’m shopping bait. Definitely gonna give em a try. Especially the last two. I’ve seen the worms but not that tube jig. Idk why trying new baits is so much fun

Why get Panther Martins *and* Rooster Tails? Pick one of the two inline spinners, skip the other, and get either a pack of Beetle Spins or Road Runners.
Would ban that fish killing powerbait crap if I could. Dead fish floatin all over the lake. Cant rip treble hooks out of their guts and expect them to live. Get some lures and learn to fish!
#3 blue fox, really any color but the fish around here like purple and chrome. I’ll throw a spoon once in awhile I’ve never had a lot of luck tossin roosters or panther martins. But one little tip for the day is tie about a 8” leader off the spinner single siwash hook to another hook with a couple pautzkis fireballs pushed right onto the hook, just try it before you talk shit.
