the "items" list in the trader json are populated automatically from the "categories" list above that. so if you add categories it'll populate that list itself.
Oy nice vid! helped a lot! One thing i found is that if you load your dayz expansion marked mod along with the editor, you can give the survivors a trader type tag (on the bottom of the little window to adjust them and such). Makes it alot easier to keep track of them in the files :)

Where did you get all the objects starting with Expansion. I cant find them and in particular the ATM and the fire. Other than that it is a very informative video :)
I found this to be too rambling to be useful. Over 2 effing hours of ramble. Additionally, suggesting that the default Expansion Trader for Chernarus is basically "plug and play" is simply ridiculous. It's not. As you said afterwards, it needs certain config files set. You could say that about ANY trader system (and you did, but not for Chern). For those of us renting space, that information is critical, and we aren't going to get it by following the generic links off the expansion page. Also, for those renting space, the installation locations vary a bit. As you said, information is hard to come by. It would have been helpful to others had you gone into those config files. I've basically had to ignore your video to get anything done, because you are using a bunch of unnecessary steps which are merely cluttering up the process and making it more complicated than it needs to be.

I get a [Martket system Error "No market exchange found - cannot determine currency values!"] when I load in to server even though everything is set to "expansionbanknotehryvnia" which I pulled from the other files and half came with the newer update of m_12 (works on the other map just fine) It is also has the Exchange.json with it in it and IsExchange": 1, .... anyone else struggling with this error? It becomes hard when all the videos you find are on older versions of expansion (even though its only been a year or 6 months) and the official wiki is still has stuff that out of date.
Many of these folders, such as object and traders, doesn't exist in the mission folder. I'm making them and typing everything in manually, but I'll be surprised if any of this actually works.
The set up now is most likely different. Some steps are still the same but with different updates to expansion since this video there are definitely some changes. You could likely still use it to get the general idea of how to go about doing this but it’s likely no longer a complete step by step to be honest.
I did fix it, off the top of my head I can't remember the file but there is one you'll need to edit which allows you to interact with them. I would recommend referencing to the stock expansion traders to compare and figure it out, It's been a few months since I've touched the editor or dayz for that matter so I've forgotten a lot of information. Sometime here soon I'm going to be making another video which goes through everything again but a lot more precise and better explained since this one can be a little confusing for some people.

Don’t have the time stamp off hand, but in the video I demonstrate how to do this by placing the actual AI people in the spots I wanted the vendor to be, skim through it to where I start going over how to set everything up for the server and I reference back to this, you’ll need to place them, or any object for that matter and get the coordinates and then use those coordinates in the trader docs to specify where they’ll be

hi i did the trader safezones like you said but there are zombies still spawning in, and people can still kill you, any advice, plus is there suppose to be a circle on the map showning the zone, if not is there away to make a map zone show? thanks to anyone in advance ahhh NVM i found the problem, there was one little (,) missing in the file, has to go threw it with care.....:P

Vehicle trader comes pre configured in expansion to also carry vehicle parts. You can remove the parts from the list through the setup file and you can add to it as well so you can definitely use only one trader if you’d like to and have one sell everything

This is literally step by step from start to finish. The video was made this way because I had found a lot of people didn't quite understand with just things pieced together from other people who tried to demonstrate how to do this. So I went through the whole process all in one go. The whole entire video is not about the editor either, If you actually watched and followed along I go through how to do everything in editor, what items you can use for the trader, etc but I'm not doing a full tutorial on how to use it, I made it clear in the beginning of the video that this was not a tutorial on how to use it/I would not be going in depth on how to I'm only showing things that I felt necessary for anyone who is brand new and won't know what to do, what to click and how to use certain commands and buttons. After about 25-30 minutes in the editor going over basic stuff I then show how to get it all set up for your server, editing files, etc. So I'm not "just talking about editor" that's only in the first 25 minutes or so.

i mean you can just set the sell price to 0 and no one should be able to sell to the trader and if they do it wont give anything in return.
