- Master of Magic is a single-player, fantasy turn-based 4X strategy game[2] developed by Simtex and published by MicroProse for MS-DOS in 1994. The player plays as a wizard attempting to dominate two linked worlds. From a small settlement, the player manages resources, builds cities and armies, and researches spells, growing an empire and fighting the other wizards.

I'm a big VideoGames Music fan! I try to upload the best full original soundtracks from old and new video games on the channel.

If you want this OST to be removed: please notify me.
still the best strategy game ever made. To the masters who made this mad project a reality back in the day, I love you for making my childhood. absolute masterwork.
Indeed, an absolute Masterwork of Magic! It will foreverer stay in my top5 not even strategy but games of all time.
You can wishlist Slitherine’s Master of Magic (2) in Steam coming next year 2022. I put (2) in brackets because they consider it as sequel but a (mostly) faithful modernization of the original MoM. Go see its trailer and developer interview as well.
@@joonasmakinen4807 It will be curious to see what Slitherine will attempt to add onto such a complex and perfect game really.
i so agree!
@@LordOfGilneas seems to have been a port of MOM original, with new graphics. The gameplay seems almost exactly the same/op like. People say only the music is not the same. But they can mod that stuff back in.
what a masterpiece... please put timestamps to the tracks if you can
Listening to this playing the Remaster made me tear up. This is all I wanted
I got the same feeling. This is my most favorite childhood game with Dune 2, X-COM: Terror from the deep, LBA and Civilization 2.
This was my childhood. A remake is releasing in a few days and I'm worried that the soundtrack and the art direction, that made this game so special, are gone.
Verdict?
@@Rizoof1 It's amazing, don't listem to him haha
@@Rizoof1 I haven't had time to play it. Not sure if or when I will.
i recommend the caster of magic dlc for the old mom. I played mom in the 1990s, and this is a much better rebalance of the game strategies and ai.
This is the first time I realise there are different soundtracks based on alignment
Ha - me too! I always assumed the changeover in music was that my economy/military finally was rolling… when in fact I had changed from good to neutral.
To my knowledge, it's not alignment-based. "Good/neutral/bad" in the titles refers to how well the players is doing, compared to other wizards. Just like "X wizard good"/"X wizard bad" refers to their good and bad moods, respectively.
Always loved that soundtrack and its many little details.
Only now, decades later, I hear this level of quality for the first time.
Kinda weird being able to distinguish some instruments which have been mostly midi-sounds to me before. XD
Interesting high-quality mix! I am stuck to listening this in continuous loop!
Never would i have expected that one of my favorite osts would end up being that of an obscure 90s fantasy strategy game
I used to play this game 10 hours strait when I was 12 years old =P. So many good memories. The Adamantium Paladins were great to play with. I used to save 1 turn before my Summon Hero spell was cast to get the right hero =P. Same for the Summon Champion!
It's a shame that this game is pretty much obscured because it opened the gate and created a solid foundation for other high fantasy 4Xs despite its flaws.
@@fiqri1999 slitherine recently bought the source good and rights to mom, and the caster of magic mod was made a paid option. I am playing it and it is a really good rebalance of mom. Some new spells added and exploits fixed. Very strategic and tactical now, with diplomacy and other high level strats working for the AI.
Amazing game!

Awesome thanks for putting this together
The pleasure is mine. MoM will always be in my top5. I still play today and continue games that I’ve put on a halt 5 years ago!
14:31 Raven Good very similiar to Master of Orion 2 Mrrshan's theme
Same producer, right?
Can you post timestamps of the different songs please?
Thanks for the upload the quality is great. It doesn't capture that old school speaker crackle though.
We need a 30yr.edition 😁
Missing 66 - Tlaloc Good?
Good and tlaloc are mutually exclusive concepts
No one ever seems to notice that at least 2 of the songs are from movie soudtracks. Overland good is from the banquet scene in Hook, and another is from a Star Trek movie (can't remember which lol) Great tunes regardless. :)
Time stamps?
@@joonasmakinen4807 1:10 - Hook Banquet, (starts a bit differently but the rest is the same) clip: ruclips.net/video/7pbM1uH9D-g/видео.html (may have to crank up the volume). As for the Star Trek tune, it's 37:12, I was remembering ST Starfleet Academy on SNES, though I think the tune is used in a couple movies, (Unidiscovered Country possibly) ruclips.net/video/T7EQEMi-zTM/видео.html (again, gotta crank the volume lol).
Is this the mt-32 version?
can you post all with adlib?
Sweet, obviously not the c64 port.
The C64 main theme was so amazingly iconic.
Iam looking for a game like this but this game iam looking for have some songs where there is a woman and a man sings togather like a duet and i know the man sing solo to and you here fire sound from firecamp and birds so can some help me ?
1st) There is no other game like this one since it's my childhood most played game. 2nd) This is an OST from a computer game, nobody sings never. Thx for commenting.
@@asamuksv1019 It was not this game but there many more games like this style
I think you mean the Heroes of Might and Magic IV soundtrack. There is a duet just as you describe. The track is called "The Preserve". Enjoy.
@@hb8708 no what i remember it is not that bad as this
