I’m so sorry for your loss . What it is about Sharmon that is so comforting? She just seems like such a lovely, kind person and her love of natured is very touching. ❤
Sharmon, the highlight of my Sundays! One thing you can tell people when you tell them to leave live shells at the beach is that they can take a few pictures of them before they put them carefully back so they have the visual memory of the shell and critter while leaving it at its home.
I watch every Sunday, I get to see Florida thru your eyes, and it's fantastic. My mother is from N.C and the damage hurricane Helene did breaks my heart. It feels like part of my family tree has been swept away. I'm so glad your are was spared this time. Ian was enough for a lifetime. Thank you for the respite.
Yes, I'll be comparing all hurricanes to Ian. That's all we talk about down here and we're all checking to see what the surge was with Ian to know if we need to worry about this storm. I think we'll be okay but it's going to be a nail biter!
Prayers for everyone in Florida as Milton heads your way. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers that you stay safe and the winds and rain are dissipated.
Prayers ongoing. Even a Tampa hit is going to be tough with so much water already coming in. Thank God we're not in the bull's eye this time! Our Local Weather Service called Helene a once in 5,000 years flooding event! Thanks for the osprey song! We have them on our lakes up here in Tennessee. Thanks, TVA! A GOLDEN OLIVE! SO AWESOME!! I'm so glad for this two for one, Kice and Dickman's! You got some great shells and that makes me so happy! Much love to youall, especially to you, Beach Angel! Becca
That flooding was horrific and I can't believe some of the areas still recovering are going to flood again. I hope people are getting ready for this next round. It's not going to be pretty 🙏🏼
thanks for sharing what is going on. My island I lived on, is devastated and dont think it can be the same ever again. But yea, always interesting on beach at the things one can find and beautiful big shells too after a bad storm, hurricanes. look at that destruction at beach.. so heartbreaking.
I am so sorry to hear your island was devastated. It likely will never be the same - I can say that with honest experience. However, the spirit of your island may live on and that's not to say it won't be wonderful again someday. Coastal living is not for the faint.
Went shelling in Cape May NJ, finally found a big intact shell, a knobbed whelk. Found a few intact shark eyes, and gifted one to another sheller who wasn’t having any luck. I remembered to take some trash off the beach too. Thank you for taking us along and educating us. ❤
I booked a tour with Ali for December and I’m hoping to go to Kice! Soooo beautiful! But seeing all those little and big branches sticking up, I’m such a klutz that I’d probably bend down to grab shells and poke my eyes out! Sunglasses will be a must for me! 😂😂😂
wear like a baseball hat with a brim so you don't bump your face into branches and make sure you have good broken in water shoes with good soles that wont slide off your feet. its awesome but can be treacherous. I literally have many physical scars from Kice Island!
That's what I was going to say! The anchor emblem was the dead giveaway! I hope the area survived ok and that very little damage came your way!! God bless you and your family!

I so so spoiled to live here! After a storm I expect piles of gorgeous shells but that doesn't happen after each storm (apparently). Thank you so much for watching! I drop a new video every Sunday!
Hi, watching weather channel here in Iowa. I'm keeping you in my prayers. I hope you and yours will be safe. Also just need to say that as a land locked Iowan who only gets to visit the gulf shores every few years, I love your videos. I love all the needy information you share. In fact, feel free to need right out. I love the care you take for the little critters and I enjoy seeing them. Thank you so much.
You did a wonderful job of finding beautiful shells to share this week. I am hoping that Milton has even less effect there than Helene, but like you I have no control over where it causes havoc. My daughter in central Florida says the grocery shelves are already slim pickings. I have not been out this weekend to see if my area is acting the same. I am just glad I don't live on waterfront property, there is a huge drainage ditch behind my fence and are utilities are all underground!! Stay safe Sharmon!!
Our son who is at a much higher elevation than we are and is inland from Tampa says that many of the stations there are out of gas. We have a full tank and are headed there tomorrow. They have made the grocery run and have solar with Tesla batteries for power enough to last a few days. Stay safe!
If I didn't come within inches of having my home flood during Ian I would probably be tolerating all the hurricane news so much better. This is really a mess and people's nerves are frazzled. I hope you stay safe too!
YESSS been waiting for YOU to make this video after the hurricane Helene, watching from the Pacific Northwest prayers going out to you and yours in this time of need after hurricane Helene
Lovely shells. So sorry you & all the residents of Florida are being weather challenged, can't catch a breath. Milton is do to visit. 😞Stay strong, you are all in our thoughts.
Really lovely shells you found! Please be safe this next week, and I'll pray Milton fizzles out or turns. I sincerely don't want you or anyone in your area to have another damaging storm! Prayers for all!
I have missed a stretch of videos and this was a great place to dive right in and work backwards. Thank you so much for all of this great and informative footage, Sharmon! The alphabet cones and common nutmegs are really exceptional here!
What an amazing shelling day, the alphabet cones and the colorful moon snails were just calling your name today! So many beautiful beach treasures and so many little critters saved..❤ when you said “ it was a little slow on Kice”, I was like, I wish I could have that kind of slow day! 🤣 hoping that Milton doesn’t cause so much damage again and you stay safe and away from Tampa for now..🙏 thanks so much for a wonderful beach walk Sharmon…❤
What a fun trip out to Kice. The devastation Helene left in its wake is literally unbelievable. I do hope you and your family will be safe through Milton and that this storm is no where near as brutal. Keeping the entire region in my prayers.

Hey lady, I came on here just to tell you I’m thinking about you and praying for you and your husband and your whole area that you would be protective and safe through hurricane Milton. This is all so very scary. I was just in Fort Myers a week ago.🙏🏽 take care and keep us posted how you are doing!
Hi Sharmon! Great video. It was good to watch this week. I missed last week because my other senior beagle, Pandy, crossed over the rainbow bridge last Saturday night and I didn't do a lot of things I normally do. Felt like I got run over by a bus. Thank goodness I have my white lab puppy Mr. Knightley. But this video was lovely and I'm so thankful your area didn't get a hard hit from Helene. I'm praying Milton stays out of your way. As far as my favs go, I have to say I was completely stunned by that fighting conch with the double rows of knobs. Also, I have a thing for paper figs and I gasped when you found that big one. Other favs were the golden olive, that darker nutmeg, the big lightning whelk, the light alphabet cone and the gaudy Nautica with the dark tiger stripes (not to forget that larger horse conch). Have a blessed week, my friend. Thanks for all you do.
I'm sorry to hear about Pandy but now he/she can be reunited with the other fur baby you lost ❤️ And I'm sure Mr. Knightley keeps you from getting too sad 😃 It was great to be out there after Helene but I'm not looking forward to dealing with Milton.
Thanks for the beach walk. You have no idea how much I needed the serenity of that tonight. After 5 days of shelling in NC, we arrived at our Englewood FL place last night. We are a mile from the ocean in evacuation zone A so tomorrow we will evacuate to our son’s home inland from Tampa. I remember my dismay when I viewed all the destruction at our place a couple of days after Ian. I pray that Milton will be much kinder to us. At 72, I am not sure I am up to fixing it again. We built quite a few homes ourselves in our younger years so we know how to do almost every task in regards to building, but I not sure I am up to doing it again. The days, weeks, and months of physical work after Ian were so physically difficult and mentally exhausting that the thought of doing it again overwhelms me. 🙏🏼 for everyone in Milton’s path.
We had a lot of clean up after Ian too and that is probably why I'm so anxious myself. I'm hoping that the storm will weaken but I know all this rain and surge has to go somewhere. I hope you make out okay and you stay safe with this one 🙏🏼
@@SWFBeachLife Stay safe at FM and FMB. We have friends that live there. Praying for all of us in Milton’s path as well as those still recovering from Helene. Such a sad year.
Thank you for the quiet time to hear the Osprey, and the beach sounds ♡. And thank you for saving the live shells and pickng up trash. You're a good person and a good citizen! ♡
Oh the sound of ospreys!😊 I will miss that sound at my sister's. Beautiful golden olive! Very cool freak FFC! I would say that wasn't bad at all, Sharmon. You found some great stuff. I'm just happy to finally be watching RUclips again! We got electric tonight at my sister's!😁 xxoo
Isn't it amazing how much we rely on electricity? And then directly behind electricity is internet. I'm glad to hear that things are at least starting to normalize again. I know it won't be normal for a LONG time but things do settle down eventually. ❤️
Congratulations on striking GOLD! So I just try not to pick up fighting conchs anymore, but your friend with freak knobs was so beautiful. Would have been love at first sight for me! I finally cleaned my shells from my October 1 Dickman's Island adventure a few days ago and I thought of you when I was scraping beach stuff off this Fighting Conch: He is knobless, all zig-zaggy, with a beautiful stromboid notch and a purple aperture... just like all the things!
I just love your videos! Been watching for a while now! I’ve have been keeping track of forecasts for Milton, and keep thinking of you. I hope you were able to evacuate and are safe! Prayers for everyone in Florida! ❤️🫶🏻🫶🏻
I LOVE the critters, Florida Fighting Conch's, they are way too cute!! I'm not sure when the next Hurricane is supposed to arrive but the one from the Gulf looks like it's going to be very ugly! PLEASE stay safe and batten down the hatches. My aunt lives in Sebring and it looks like it's going all the way across the state.
Hello, I just found your video and I did not know all the different shell names.. so interesting. Great video.. and now I hope you made it out of the coast zone and take care and stay safe. All the best to eveybody in the storm zone. ❤
My heart is so heavy for the precious people devastated by Helene. We are keeping them lifted up to God for help, in whatever form that may be. These poor people need help. Please pray with me for them. And another hurricane is lurking…Lord have mercy
Love your collections. The cones, amazing. The gaudi's, gorgeous. All so pretty. Now I want to wish you well, be safe and careful with what may come this week.
❤ I'm enjoying your beach walk, and wish we could be there with you. Really enjoy 😊 going with you virtually every week. I've been going back and watching all your videos and did it today, I have officially watched them all! ❤ Can't wait to come down this winter to shell in your area. Stay safe Wednesday. Greatings from Yulee Florida.
So thankful You are safe! All are in my thoughts. Have a new ring? Good one to wear to the beach ...Thanks for sharing your shells. Appreciate safe donation sight...will send $ to help. ❤
Sharmon that is a vintage glass jar by Jannette Glass please don’t get rid of it. I have seen similar jars but that one is different. So I’m not sure the value. But regular mason jar type by them go from 10-14 a piece. But that one is different. So it may possibly be worth more.
Hi there! I never commented before… I wanted to let you know that I am thinking about you and praying for your safety during the upcoming Milton hurricane. I do not know anyone living in Florida but we are watching and enjoying your videos all the way from Poland for a looong time now - and cannot help to think of you as a friend. Warm thoughts🤍 stay safe
Hello Poland! Sorry it took a hurricane for us to meet 😃 I feel as if we are going to be okay this time. My beach friends to the North are going to take it much worse. Thank you for your warm thoughts! 🙏🏼❤️
Glad you are ok, I hope that Milton misses you all. Helen caused so much destruction to so many places it is heartbreaking. Thank you again for a lovely walk.
I wish the beach was closer to me on most days...when there's no hurricane. I absolutely love shelling on the west coast. Casey Key has been my favorite place to go in the past. There are so many vacation homes, you can walk along where they are and hit the jackpot. I found 2 large horseshoe crab shells fully intact there along with a large sponge among the normal welks, conchs, scallops and olives.❤
Yes, coastal living can be a mixed bag during hurricane season. And I love the beach always keeps me guessing. I never know there the shells are going to be!
OMG, I was on Kice too that Monday but with Shell Camp Florida. I went south Kice to find my Junonia! I patiently waited for a couple that parked their boat on the beach area between mangroves. I gave them space, hate when people walk up to me while shelling so waited until they got in their boat and left. So went past the beach area to where the older gentleman was shelling in the open area of mangroves and found my second beautiful full Junonia by a mangrove stump. I tell people don’t think that someone shelling in front of you will get everything. 😂
As I'm watching this, Milton is getting ready to hit Florida tonight. I'm really worried about your safety. 😢 I will be praying that you and your loved ones stay safe and that Milton weekend and veers away from your area or better yet veers away from any landfall. ❤
👋🏻🧑🦳🤗🍃🍂🍁 So fun! TY for taking us with you shelling on the Florida beach. Amazing! Sometimes I’ll save this vlog until Sabbath and enjoy your informative walk. So special!
Back in the day when I was in grade school our school would hold an annual fair in the gymnasium. All kinds of games and fun things to do, snacks to buy .. even a dunk tank for those who had a good arm and a dead-eye. I always loved the "fishing hole" ... a high counter-like structure that was painted and decorated to look like a dock. For 10 cents you were given a fishing pole with a diaper pin as a hook. You'd toss the line over the counter and shortly your line would tug and you'd pull up a small paper bag with your prize inside. So where am I going with all this? lol ... every time I see you blindly scoop into the surf to see what comes up it reminds me to the "fishing hole" at the school fair.
When I was a kid back in the day, I remember going to some sort of fair-type event and there was a woman wearing a huge hoop skirt. There were pockets all over the entire skirt and for a fee, you could give her the money and pick a prize from a pocket. Clearly I didn't get what I wanted because this only happened once and I still remember I was disappointed 😂
Your shelling style and mine are the same. ❤ ethical shelling. Currently in the north so thank you for letting me live vicariously through your video. I could watch hours of this. 🤗
We have managed to gather a nice collection of shells over the years from Topsail Island and the Florida Gulf. I didn't know there were so many names for the shells, though. I like the small colored ones but I also like to find large ones. My personal best was an intact 3" hinged shell after a hurricane passed through the Gulf in 2009. Siesta Key just caught the outer edge and gave us some great shells.
My husband and I join with the others in offering prayers as Milton comes ashore. Please do everything you can to stay safe. You and your family with be in our hearts.
Thank you to everyone who weighed in on that glass bottle. It was from Anchor Glass Container Corporation out of Tampa!
Thanks for taking us along! Praying for yours and all of Florida’s safety with the impending arrival of Milton.

I’m so jealous! Now I want to go to Florida to look for shells! Thank you for being kind to the animals.❤️
Thank you for the video. I’m praying for you and everyone else after hearing there are more storms headed your way. Stay safe. Love you
❤️
Thank you for the quiet time to hear the Osprey, and the beach sounds ♡. And thank you for saving the live shells and pickng up trash. You're a good person and a good citizen! ♡
Thank you for saying so. I'm one of those people that wants "to be the change they see in the world." ❤️
these videos are like therapy for me - thank you so much for sharing all of this natural beauty. stay safe!!
Oh your fighting conch sounds gorgeous! I hope you stay safe during this storm too. As of right now we are not leaving 🙏🏼
I just love your videos! Been watching for a while now! I’ve have been keeping track of forecasts for Milton, and keep thinking of you. I hope you were able to evacuate and are safe! Prayers for everyone in Florida! ❤️🫶🏻🫶🏻
Great video, beautiful shells! Praying 🙏 for all in Helen's path, stay safe from Milton ❤ Love & safety to all!
Wow, what a nice video! Just stumbled on it. Love your commentary!
I throughly enjoyed this since I can’t walk and do beach combing anymore. Thank you. Please Keep making videos like this!
I don't think I could stop if I wanted to! Thank you for watching!
WOW some really beautiful shells. Thank you wonderful trip 🤩🤩🤩💖💖
Wonderful walk! Be safe and blessings!
Stay safe with the next one coming your way. Thank you for the shelling
Thank you for watching!
Lovely shells this time! I see there is another storm headed toward you. Stay safe!
Thank you for charity tip. Glad to find this.
Sending up prayers for those in the path of the next storm. Stay safe!
Thank you for watching and you stay safe too! 🙏🏼
Prayers for your shelling islands this upcoming week 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 be safe 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
So thankful You are safe! All are in my thoughts. Have a new ring? Good one to wear to the beach ...Thanks for sharing your shells. Appreciate safe donation sight...will send $ to help. ❤
I got my real ring fixed and its so pretty now I don't want to wear it in the ocean 😃
Sharmon that is a vintage glass jar by Jannette Glass please don’t get rid of it. I have seen similar jars but that one is different. So I’m not sure the value. But regular mason jar type by them go from 10-14 a piece. But that one is different. So it may possibly be worth more.
Prayers for you and your family during this next hurricane.
Wow Sharmon! Some great finds! And those horseys! 😍
Prayers to all... stay safe.
Maybe look into hermit crabs and take far less than usual? Glad to see you take the live ones to the water where they might survive.
Loved coming along and watching
you choose your Beautiful Shells!
💙🌊🐚💙🌊🐚💙
Glad you are ok, I hope that Milton misses you all. Helen caused so much destruction to so many places it is heartbreaking. Thank you again for a lovely walk.
Glad you and your family are ok. Thanks for the walk🐚🪸
Thank you so much for sharing! This is wonderful for a shelling addict like my self. Hoping Milton was not too destructive.
Great shells. Hopefully you get out of the way of the hurricane. Thoughts and prayers! 😊
Glad you are safe, the destruction is terrible. Btw collecting these things is kinda fun
rockin' that sporty pink band gurl. wise choice!
It's comfy too! And it keeps my wedding band all clean and pretty 😃
Big fan of your videos, hoping you, your family, and property are safe.
We made out okay!
I just want to say Thank You. I live in Western North Carolina in the foothills. I appreciate all that you are doing.
I hope you and yours are all okay. I think the entire country is praying for everyone affected by those floods 🙏🏼❤️
God bless you and your family this upcoming week my prayers 🙏 ❤️ will be for all in harms way . STAY SAFE MY THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU
Thank you so much! This one is going to be a nail biter!
Beautiful finds on this one! Tucking you safely in my prayers for upcoming Milton. Stay safe and take care of you! 🙏❤😏
Dickman’s and Kice?? Lovely. Be safe this week 🫶
Stay safe this next week. Praying for everyone in Florida
I'm so glad it found you! I am with you on the whole etiquette thing. A shell isn't worth mowing someone over for it! ❤️🐚
Once again praying for you and all those in the path of Milton. Please stay safe!!! Thank you for this wonderful video!!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
As I'm watching this, Milton is getting ready to hit Florida tonight. I'm really worried about your safety. 😢 I will be praying that you and your loved ones stay safe and that Milton weekend and veers away from your area or better yet veers away from any landfall. ❤
Beautiful finds. Prayers Sharmon stay safe 🙏
👋🏻🧑🦳🤗🍃🍂🍁 So fun! TY for taking us with you shelling on the Florida beach. Amazing!
Sometimes I’ll save this vlog until Sabbath and enjoy your informative walk. So special!
The jar is Anchorware.
Kice Kice baby, always good. Lovely shells as always and some lovely live guys and gals too. Hugs and stay safe xx
Can you imagine camping there? Hugs!
Your shelling style and mine are the same. ❤ ethical shelling. Currently in the north so thank you for letting me live vicariously through your video. I could watch hours of this. 🤗
Awe - thank you so much!
Storms can bring glee and or tragedy - it's a toss of the dice which we're going to get. I'm glad you got to experience the upside of a storm!
My husband and I join with the others in offering prayers as Milton comes ashore. Please do everything you can to stay safe. You and your family with be in our hearts.
Thank you beach friend!
