depending on which hardware controller u have. i use the maschine micro and to do like what i did in the video requires alot of shift functions on the mikro. if u are using the mk3, im sure the functions are more direct together with the display - and i have to agree with you that if you can use it all on the hardware, it’s the point of buying the maschine because the hardware is suppose to make it easier and faster too!
