I add Maschine as an instrument and I work on the drums inside. When I'm done I export the midi to the host, in the Maschine instrument track itself (remember to deselect the pattern), and I use the 16 maschine outputs to add effects to each pad and do the mix in the host. By this way you can have everything in the DAW, further edit the drums, and come back to Maschine if needed. I recommend using a template to have the setup ready when inspiration comes 🔥
you could use the mk3 in midi mode in ableton as well as record midi in ableton to trigger the maschine sounds. You can also have all the 16 pads audio be directed to a drum rack separately if you wanna mix the audio in ableton as well.
@@TheSmkfts hmmm this one seems like it has the idea down ruclips.net/video/6i54WFFPR6Q/видео.html but I'd set that all up in a drum rack so you only have to record arm the drum rack instead of 16 separate midi tracks lol
I think that it's great that you decided to pick up the Mikro. I'm a Maschine MK2 user myself, I would thoroughly enjoy watching you create lofi beats with it. Thanks.
Maschine Mikro was my first beat pad ever! I’ve had the MK3 just sitting in my aside with no use since I got Ableton because I never knew how to really use it in ableton
Maschine is great sketchup beat maker. Have mk3. Im using it standalone and move trackouts to Ableton for better mixing and mastering. Mixing same time Im producing. Really like Maschine. It is pretty nice workhorse :D
Just bought it last week and thought I was a bit late on the ball. Obviously not ;) Looking forward to seeing how you use it. I hope to be able to make chord progressions more creatively with it.
Cool beat Bro! I just picked one up, and it's not working quite as seamlessly with Ableton as I had thought it might, but it's still fun to play with and I'm learning a few workarounds, the NI vsts & expansions are cool as well. Hope you're still enjoying it!
I find it incredible how you manage to make such amazing beats on the spot. You are extremely talented and I’m sure this is the result of a ton of hard work. I respect it man!
Aye I've been wondering when this was Coming 🤟🔥 Always get inspired by your Style and Appreciate the Great Videos 🙏💕 Stay Blessed and Keep Inspiring Greatness
l dre you gotta explore the chords feature, got some preloaded chords in there is pretty dope, and you can set the key. you can set the key on keyboard mode too to only display the notes in that key
you should try out sampling. at first i was mad confused by it but now its prolly the fastest way i sample and chop now. all u gotta do is hit the sample button and press edit in the daw, then use the knob to change where u want the cuts at.
No wrong way or idodic way to make music bruh. This is what I really love about what we do. Ain’t no rules. Anyone tell you different clearly don’t know how to admire art and just let it be
So I've been using the Mikro MK3 just as a Midi controller. So I set the input in Ableton to the Maschine, and then load up an Ableton Drum Rack or I build out a custom rack for the track, and I record midi that way. I had stopped using the Maschine software just because it felt like a hassle to learn, BUT I did not know you could easily drag in loops from Maschine in Ableton. Will have to play with that. I wonder if there's a way to drag a Maschine drum rack into Ableton as a custom Ableton rack?
I have it too and am using it exactly the same way u do in Ableton bro. Could not come up with more efficient way do it. p.s I hate Maschine 2 as software so much it makes me quit making music for real. To me it's absolutely overcomplicated and it's just not intuitive at all. And it's sad they don have like a VST version for Ableton or any other DAW! That would be amazing since the sounds are really good in Maschine. Good video though.🙏
If that is what you are really planning to use a Maschine Mikro MK3 for then I would honestly not even bother with it as it will probably only slow down your workflow. Because by the time you've hooked up the Maschine and fired up its software, you've already laid out your beat in the Push 2. The smaller pads on the Push 2 are really not an issue if you're only using 3 fingers at a time for four bars at the most.
Nope not at all idiotic in fact I thought I was the only one using it wrong when I had my MK2 but watching this video you make me want to get it back again. Especially since I still own Maschine software anyway. Very dope demo vid bro!
I got mine to play drums with. I use FL studio and hope there's a way as easy as Ableton to use Maschine in it. Would be a huge game changer for me personally
Would have helped if you showed how to setup the maschine in the abelton preferences as it's not going to just be a source that people can set to an audio track.
peace fam dope vid how can I change from clips to patterns with mikro? with mk3 u can toggle b/f with arrange button mikro don't have that button. can I do it from the software? thanks bro
for the drum section, when you drag over the MIDI is there a way to have it automatically drop the sample machine was using into a simpler or something like that? Like how complicated is it to transfer the same sample you originally placed in machine into each MIDI track I guess is what I'm getting at.
just get a mk3 from reverb 350 make sure you get both hardware transfers. i started on a miicro its ok cant do jack tho. it is a nice piece of hardware tho. but the mk3 is just superior in every way.
L.Dre! Any wisdom?! When I'm trying to chop a sample inside of Maschine 2, each of the pads just corresponds to a different pitch of the orignal. I can't seem to put the slices I've created onto the pads.
You actually can use the Maschine Mikro as a controller without the Maschine vst, but it is just way too complicated to enjoy, so yeah, opening the vst within is better
I got a Mikro on my desk as a decoration 😂 I don’t like the Maschine software and I never took the time to learn how to use with Ableton. Maybe I will now
I already bought the mikro mk3 maschine twice and honestly in use with ableton live I find it very stuck, there are better tools to work within ableton. The maschine is great but within the native instruments daw itself, buying with the intention of using it within ableton live is an illusion. My opinion, sorry for my english. thanks!
Do all these kits, and native instrument plug-ins, come with the Maschine 2 vst? Or how do you get access to all the different instrument sounds? (Im looking to buy the maschine mikro mk3)
You don't have to use that lame ass vst. Hit the Shift and circle and the circle top corner and it'll switch to vst mode then if you downloaded controller editor you can set up your midi device better for ableton. especially since ableton has the midi button
@@LDreTheGiant yeah wish i could show u a picture but it even lets you color each individual pad. I have two groups from c1-c3 and i put drum racks on them and fill them with a drum kit or just different kicks or snares in a different set
This isn't hate. But idk how you make beats that sound fine while wearing a beanie and hood on with headphones all the time. haha. It gets rid of so much high end stuff sounds wrong, i can't do it.

Hey hey, can you elaborate on that workflow as I am not sure I understand :( would be very helpful
you could use the mk3 in midi mode in ableton as well as record midi in ableton to trigger the maschine sounds. You can also have all the 16 pads audio be directed to a drum rack separately if you wanna mix the audio in ableton as well.
Well this is the way then lol
This is how I use mine!
This is great info! Do you know any tutorial that shows how to set up the Maschine pads with Ableton's drum rack?
@@TheSmkfts have you figured out how to do this yet?

I use the maschine Mk2 for a while now, it's definitely my favourite daw. The mikro is cool but i rather have the full size maschine!
IM SO HAPPY FOR THIS VID MASCHINE OR BUST

Looks great. I just switched to Kontroller S4 MK3, and this could be the perfect addition for me.
Waiting for mine next week, and i finaly find a video teaching easily work with the DAW. I supose that same on Cubase. Thank You.
I start beats in Maschine & Arrange in FL Studio, it's useful for way more than just drums
Thanks.
I was a bit worried about not being able to use it with Ableton

Yeah the software is pretty limited I also wish it could simply be used as a midi pad
I've had maschine for almost 10 years now and you just taught me an easier way to get my chops 😂
Wow 2:13 convinced me. That’s almost simpler than recording drums straight in Ableton and then having to separate into different tracks. Wow.
This is my next buy 🙋🏻 Glad I know it's gonna be worth it

The big pads just feel better. Especially when making beat videos for social media
@@LDreTheGiant I'll give you that, at least it looks good on social media

Straight HEAT 🔥🔥🔥
That quick freestyle beat is 🔥 as hell ngl

those pads look nice. Dope beat!
Got the Maschine MK3, prefer it over the MPC live. Sampling is cool on the mk3 screen but i basically just do drums on it too.
The MPC Live II is crazy tho I’m just a big software guy so no matter what I always end up back in ableton
its got a midi mode also so you can just hit notes and trigger an ableton drumkit
Love the key change and track
You can use the Micro in Ableton to quantize and also record trigger
Yes!! More Maschine!!!
I love making beats because for me, it sounds trash and then it becomes fire🔥 !!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR LIKING THIS COMMENT IT MEANS SO MUCH♡
I was about to sell my mikro mk3, but after seeing how you used it in ableton, I might just keep it lol.

L Dre, have you ever tried the proper Maschine MK3? Been a longtime Maschine user/enthusiast. Those screens make things a lot better.
Would love for you to do a new video on this and how you use it now.
PLEASE RELEASE THIS BEAT I LOVE IT
What tutorial did you watch to do the sampling in Maschine on because your explanation was… vague…
I’m looking for something like this for live performances. Is there anyway to hook it up to an external sound system for live performing?
So is it like the broke man’s MPC?

More cookups with the Mikro

what do u recommend for beginners ive never had a beat pad

What program do you use to produce you music in? (Anyone can answer I just wanna know since all I know is FL studio)
Ableton
