Dex-Starr has one of the most gut wrenching origin stories I've ever read, definitely one of my favourite origins in comics
I agree, really feel bad for the cat and angry myself at the idiots who created a monster out of him, good thing he gave them a hellish karma
Also what I like about him is that he is the first earth's red lantern which is a very rare trait for a common animal, also there should be a lot of earth animal red lantern beside him considering how most people treat animal on earth as bad as possible.
Scarecrow is very dark, Murmur is quite dark, Zsasz is pretty dark, Black Mask is definitely dark, Jane Doe is dark but quite unexplainable, there's more

I remember the Green Lantern: Animated Series on CN. They had a cool concept of "righteous rage" which also powered the red ring. Of course, ultimately the righteous rage would turn into hope, but hey.

Red Lanterns are NOT the villains, they are just pissed off over an extreme loss. The INDIGO Lanterns are the true villains! The ONLY reason they are compassionate is due to their rings. Look up their origin!
Ultra Violet and Sapphire lanterns are the main two villians. I don't know why the Sapphire are the villains when they are suppose to love and not hate.

nah, the indigo corps actually worked. Indigo 1 casted her ring and was able to feel compassion without it and became iroque (her real name) the redeemer. From wrath of the first lantern

Just like Red Lanterns start out as Rage filled maniacs before gaining control of their Rage the Sapphires are filled with obsessive Love that compels them to act. They focus on obsessive Love to begin with instead of platonic Love, familial Love and sororal Love. "Life without Love is heresy." Is part of their creed.

I think Supergirl was once a red lantern. I think having kryptonian abilities plus red lantern powers on top of that is super cool. So I would say Red Lantern Supergirl as my favorite.

I actually liked Razer from Green Lantern: The Animated Series.
Definitely one of my favorite groups. The Red Lanterns are the epitome of anti-heroes, they may be flawed but their visceral rage gives them an edge over their adversaries.
The greatest lantern corps there is for me, I love how they basically corps of vengeance who kills those who deserving (well, originally). I also love how their first earth lantern member were not human but instead a simple house cat. I think the likes of red hood, punisher and ghost rider would be agree with their ideology, god seeing jason with red lantern ring would be awesome.
My favorite member were obviously Atrocitus, Dex-Starr and Bleeze because they were victim in the past and red lantern give them the power of vengeance.

I've loved the red lanterns since the moment I saw them and it only grew as I red more stories involving them. Guy Gardner becoming their leader is one of my favorite moments in all of comics.
I love the Lantern Coprs. Some of my favorite mythos in all comics, From how the emotions interact with one another, to the emotional entities, and how anyone can become a lantern of almost any kind.
I even have two lantern power batteries a Red one and a Green one, Wish they made an Indigo one though, they are my favorite.
Much more respect for the red lantern core since you're explained their origin

Atrocitus is the incarnation of righteous anger - some react to evil with compassion, some get enraged. "How dare you do that to them?" and strike at the abusers. There are certainly destructive and dark members in the Red Lanterns, but they aren't outright evil.

@@technomorphtv5834 rage is still his dominant emotion, so he'd be red before green. Plus some of the GLs like Hal and Guy themselves have become/fallen to Red at some point.
As for how strong Hulk would be, I'd imagine somewhat stronger than the Venom Hulk.
Imagine different hulk personas being able to wield different rings: bruce banner is a green lantern, regular hulk and the green scar is a red lantern, joe fixit and the maestro are yellow lanterns.
I was introduced to Red Lanterns while reading Supergirl comics. They weren't portrayed as evil. But Atrocitus was.
I wish they would put Razer in the comics. He has such a great story.

For villains month Variant should do a history of doctor doom episode because they haven’t done him yet and he’s a really interesting character that I’d like to know more about.

I became a fan of them after I watched the animated series. It would be cool if they brought Razar to the comics. I think he could be fleshed out more their and become a great character
Has Jason Todd ever become a Red Lantern? I feel a story of Jason fighting Atrocitus for leadership of the Corp would be interesting.
Red King Jack is probably up there in my list of red lantern villains.
Atrócitus and most of the red lanterns have some of the most relatable origin stories in DC villains history. Can you really blame Atrócitus for hating the guardiand and wanting revenge? I don't think so, and also for me most of the guardians, except for Ganthet I guess, were douchebags anyway. How many times Hal and his friends had to disobey the guardians orders and rules in order to do the right thing and sabe lives and even planets? Even Ganthet got out of there and firmed the blue lantern corps based on hope.
remember just before flashpoint when hal killed krona with his ring guardians were so afraid of Hal they took away his ring. lol that was pure badass moment , and guardians were like no ring should have been able to strike down 1 of the guardians they had installed fail safes in them.

I've never thought of the Red Lanterns as straight villians, but as anti-heroes, really really violent dark anti-heroes. Also, they're my favorite corp and Dex-Starr is my fav of them; I bought the Red Lantern Mera fig just to get him. He's a sweet snuggly kitten that will kill you with his blood. 😁

Atrocitus has always been my favorite Green Lantern villain & one of my favorite DC villains in general. He falls in the same category as a villain like Mr. Freeze, where he has a justifiable motive. You understand why he’s doing what he’s doing. And yes, I agree that they’re very underrated. More needs to be done with them on a larger scale of entertainment media. Movie, TV, etc.

It's been a while since I've had a chance to read any comics. When I left off I felt like the Red Laterns were more dark anti-heroes around the time I left. Then teamed up with the Green Laterns a few times and after a point it felt like they were only killing "bad" people but things may have changed since then.
Not really thet are just a more Angery and violent version of The Green Lantern's without the stupid Guardians

I don't really think they're bad guys, they're equalizers but sometimes they're blind rage is too much. Atrocitus learns that later Injustice 2. What about Guy Gardner?! He literally beat atrocitus is ring off him! That's just a taste of Guy's Red Lantern Power!
So stoked to see a Red Lantern episode. They're my favorite corps and my favorite Red Lantern is also my favorite green lantern, Guy Gardner. Maybe some day we can get an episode on him taking the corps from Atrocitous. I know you can't get every detail in but you can also remove a red lantern ring and keep them alive by having a Blue Lantern do it. I believe that's how they removed the ring from Supergirl.

I remember reading a comic book about the red lanterns one day in my high-school library, and I instantly fell in love. All of the members were so fascinating, Atrosidice, Bleez, Argon, Dextar they were really great anti hero’s, they are vengeful but they have a reason for being the way they are.

This is my favorite corps alongside the Orange Lantern. Dex Starr is definitely a favorite, his story is sad, but his vengeance is sweet. I like the added touch of his showing up in Injustice 2 when you play as or against Atrocitus

Even though he only exists in the Green Lantern: The Animated Series cartoon, and he ends up earning a blue power ring in the series finale, I still see Razer as one of the best Red Lanterns.

I know about Red Lantern from DCUO. It was a fun game back then, around 2012-2014
They are my third favorite lantuen Corp and I love to see them either in a live action movie or a TV series and my favorite member is supergirl (who turned to a red lantern temporary).
Pretty underrated group. You could have also mentioned that Supergirl was also a member for a brief time.
