They were in two separate events and neither possessed the ring for very long. Scarecrow lost his to Orange Lantern Luthor and I believe Batman rejected his after he had no more use for it.

To all of you out there who see saying your favorite super hero should be a white lantern, stop. The white ring is like the One Ring, it drives users mad if they aren't a caliber to use it. A use must achieve balance of all the other corps, lest the range of the emotional spectrum drive him mad. Batman tried being a white lantern once, but he relays to much on fear, with little hope. Superman has to much compassion, so hen he tried, he failed. Yo permanently become a white lantern you have to have a balance.
