I've been following Wheelers Dealers for years but as an Audi fan I'm really disappointed with the changes that have been made to the car. These modern additions are completely pointless on this beautiful old coupe. Just nice rims, a good stainless steel exhaust and a chassis that is not too deep...... then you have a great youngtimer ! Greetings from Bavaria
I'd of definitely put a nice stainless steel exhaust on it , as it still had the original 1 on and was most probably nearly past its best plus how nice would it of sounded especially with the 5 pot engine
I think Elvis ruined this Audi - would have much preferred it completely OEM bone stock. Those awful aftermarket additions have made it worse in my opinion.
Talking of Prius, I had C.C. fitted to my 2010 T3, but with the slope of the bonnet it could do with sensores front and back (without that internal reverse bleeper). How do they fit?
I passed car trailer on M275 Portsmouth being towed by black 4x4 Tuesday at 230 Same trailer that was stolen with fiesta Or another with same logo on side?
It would be great to see how the EFI fuel rail and bungs were fabricated. That part of the conversion is probably the most complicated. There are millions of cars out there with aging Bosch CIS / mechanical injection that would be great to convert, but fabricating fuel rails is not a simple DIY job for most people. Anyone have any insight on this?
Lotta ppl commenting on the radio and i agree from an aesthetic point of view, but to be a daily driver, it needed to be changed. It's just that virtually all "modern" after-market stereos dont look subtle!
Nothing wrong with the fuel injection system , plenty running around just fine on the old system. Bling and upgrades seem to be the new restoration . Just go and buy a 2010 fiesta and fit all the rubbish to it ..... Restored !!!
@@axelmaes4909 Wrong, I own an audi coupe, and 2 audi 80. The speedometer will have a small different with the different tyres and rim sizes. But the is a way to calibrate the speedometer which means taking it apart.
A "bone stock" Audi of this era ain't worth jack. They're US market was non-existent after the 5000 debacle/lies. These are very marketable upgrades. The closed-loop fuel system pays for itself in reduced fuel usage and emissions. As noted, I would also add a new stainless exhaust but would also add drilled rotors.
This is UK not US. Stainless exhaust yes, ‘drilled rotors’ no. It isn’t a fast car and unless you are spending a lot of money on discs that have holes cast in them at point of manufacture (not drilled) you only run the risk of the discs cracking around the drilled holes when put through heat cycles. Grooved discs on the other hand would be better option.
Sadly tv bs land wheels wred nice but more like £2k with tyres patking sensors ideal injection ruined car and gained nothing done purely to Tv views for people who dnt know anything 😂

Yes, well I would agree on the stereo though, but other than that yes, I agree.
Skipped over running the wire back from the mirror. That could have been a bit of work

@WheelerDealersTV When is the full episode airing in the US?
Those were the genuine wheels…. Not cheap copy’s
Having the background music dominate the video did my head in.
Mine too 😢

I know the guy who bought this car. He’s just a really nice bloke.
can a golf 3 brake booster fit there
No images of the roof in the episode, until the end. Weird (and funny) camera angles every time.
Dented roof not mentioned
God bless Mike

£38 parking sensors ???
Changing the wheel size and tyres means the speedometer will be inaccurate.
A bigger rim with a lower tire is the same diameter as before

Useless upgrades
Brake disc, pads and calipers where for free?? 😂
Det only cool thing on that "ruined" audi was the rims...
