Imagine that's something like that is pretty much a pinnacle of modding, because it works, has more than 10 FPS on expensive rigs, doesn't crash every 3 minutes, launches at all (that alone is impressive), and it sorta plays as intended. Most of them do not. This mod gives off "I'm a teenager, wanna make a best game ever, it will have this, this, this, that..." vibes. What is surprising and sort of commendable is that it got as far as it did in development, most of those projects start and end at DYOM level, at best. BTW, story "kinda" makes sence, but in Russian. It was translated weirdly, nowadays even Google translate can do a better job. If I had to guess, they translated it word for word, otherwise I have no idea how any program can translate "Гардероб" which in that context means "wardrobe, clothes" as closet. Like yeah, it means closet for clothes in Russian, but no modern translator would tell you that. Also, text is full of idioms and stable expressions, so a normal phrase like "I'm all ears" would be translated into "I am fully consisting of hearing", which, once again, every translator can deal with easily, so it's just ridiculous, why would someone do it like that...
Nitpick, The first car you see is a 1998 (at oldest) Ford Crown Vic with Buick/Opel Century wheels, in a game that takes place in 92. What a great start. Edit: its the only real car as well.

I'll join Miles with my impressions as I was playing it a while ago. The story in this vid was not released at the time Inwas playing, but it had a few modes to choose from. They were working on the story mode/Mike's story (which was interesting except for some nightmares, which could get highly unintuitive), Johnson DLC (which I didn't play), open world and different types of survivals/other modes. At some point they dropped support for Mike/Johnson and switched to open world. The concept for open world was that you can do whatever you want, you can survive, escape or progress different storylines (there were a lot of them - you find the survivors' group and plan escaping and other stuff). It was difficult to "master" it (which I didn't) for multiple reasons. Zombies are too fast, which is not a problem BUT your character is slow (with only hope to use bullet time), special infected are too quick and brutal/unfair and the zombies just spawn out of nowhere (so RNG?). Mechanics are interesting but there is just too much to keep in your head and every lootable house/car was every single meter or so. Turorial used to be 22 (or so) pages, with the text instructions that would explain everything Ben conplained about lacking in his interactive tutorial. So i would take pictures with my phone and sometimes refer to them. English translation seems awful, but as devs are Russians I suspect they used translator/AI, hence translations didn't make much sense and timing was bad. Looks like they did it "just because". They are still supporting the game though (last patch was released 5 days ago) and active on their Discord server (which is a bit of a mess imo). I would suspect as well that scripting for SA for big mods can get cruel hence a lot of bugs. I kinda liked the mod but to me it's like playing Geometry Dash and going for a custom near-impossible level. Some will get good but majority will struggle. And this mod would look good on some other game (more fast paced and less 2004), but definitely not SA, cause it can get cruel
Hi, Ben. Let me tell you right away, I'm writing this post using DeepL, so if something is not clear - sorry. So... the story mode is unfinished, the translation in it has NOT been corrected by anyone and it's total shit. But it doesn't reflect the quality of the rest of the modification, judging it solely on one mode is, well, weird. I don't understand why some people write such caustic comments, calling the mod crap solely on the quality of translation and “difficulty”. Try other modes (survival), if even there the text will cut your eyes too much and distract from what's going on - okay, fine.
Now to comment on the gameplay aspects. As I see you experienced difficulties with the bridge mission. In fact, I partially agree that it will be difficult for a beginner there, especially with a hunter. There's nothing wrong with that, the player needs to prepare for what awaits him in other game modes/missions. We look at what hiccups and problems occur in players and correct these or those things. We've already had people write to us that when they need to intercept a cargo they got into the vehicle and didn't make it in time. The player in general should not go there on transport because there is training for allied commands and need to run on foot. We will find a way to communicate this to the player. The storyline is a prequel to survival, so the player is forced to be limited in what they can do. He cannot capture those bases of bandits or military, which then have to be in their place. So, the only way is to avoid them. Again, they can be captured in other modes.

I haven't watched the video fully yet, but I want to briefly talk about my experience with this mod I hate Hunters. They're easily one of the worst (if not THE worst) additions into the game. Pressing buttons to free yourself gives zero feedback until you actually free yourself, and then when you do so - You have a single second or so to kill him, otherwise he jumps on You again. And you could evade him by going into the water, because then he would insta-drown, like SA peds, but guess what? They've fixed that. Last time I played this mod was in 2018 or 2019 I think, the things may have changed since then (but judging by video's title it seems, that it did not lmfao), but back then I just did not enjoy the mod that much because of a single special, that felt like the typical random BS from Hardlined and The Challenge mods, that can fail you right at the start, right at the end, or somewhere in the middle of whatever you're doing
They always spawn in pairs which is not a thing that happens a lot in Left 4 Dead if it even happens at all. I disabled them in my survival playthrough because of how dogsshit they are, especially in the red infected zones that need cleaning and a few main quests in LS
I hate all special infected, you can see why, Left 4 Dead, coop game - has them, but for Zombie Andreas, solo mod - there's 0 place for them, they are dreadful to fight against.
skill issues, I mean you have access to time bullet (which slow down time for you to react to threats)and you can listen to your surrounding to avoid that threats. I suggest you find a companion of the other survivor or else surviving will be a nighmare for you. If you don't want the special infected, you can also disable it using custom settings. Also, after you manage to escape from the hunters grasp, use melee weapon (or range weapon +time stop).
@@PoopaSroopa-s8c Did you not do the story mode (not the classic old one). It teaches you all the basic mechanics in game (including the bullet time stop). Do not do survival before story mode. You can also read the instructions and game mechanics in misc section.

Ah yes, I love how this mod has L4D special infecteds that can literally stunlock / one-shot me in 1 picosecond whenever I see them. *Sometimes TAB doesn't kinda work even the game taught u not to sugarcoat it*.
The mod has a lot of flaws, but its still the best total conversion mod for SA that Ive come across because of the depth and "well made" features. Also the story mode kinda sucks as its limits you way too much ("do this", but im out of fuel, but you cant fuel your car at this time of the story). And yes its ridiculouisly hard but also unfair many times which kind of sucks, but overall I actually really enjoyed it surprisingly xD
I wouldn't ask Ben to subject himself to more of this mod in the current state, but...I saw another commenter say that you need lots of tweaking in the custom difficulty to make it playable. If tweaking is possible at all, maybe turning off OP enemy spawns, reducing their movement speed (if possible), and other adjustments might make it less frustrating to play through? I'm really curious to see where this mod goes and I'd honestly love to see Ben tackle this again, without the insta-kills and such to ruin his mood of course!

God, the translations are so bad. I'm a native Russian speaker myself, and this allows me to logically understand, what each braindead-sounding sentence and words from this mod are in Russian localization. I would happily re-translate all of this to proper English if I could 😪
I watch other Ytubers play this mod. As an American most of the in game dialog are very cringe and we Americans don't say those. Maybe it make sense in Russian but in English it doesn't. Lol. "Your destiny is a gutter of corpses". Or other in game dialog that shows up when you're being attacked by bandits, looters, military NPC or with an friendly NPC.
this mod is a definition of a bloat. So much time of the talented developer wasted on turning GTA into a game it has no similarities with thus making it into half playable junk with weird, uncomfortable to play mechanics.

bruv, play zomboid, play 7daystodie, basically any game that is tailored for zsurvival. This mod is a dollartree version of Zomboid - it kind of works, but also you get more frustration playing this than any other better alternatives. You can just jump on a car to avoid zombies, all they can do is just throw RNG specials at you those will fuck you up bcs they are buggy mess, just look at them, one can stunlock you to death and other can pin you to the ground while flying 10m above your head its so fun when you just get killed by rng so you have to rely on cheese strategies. Welp i pass and i better play other games that were designed to be zombie survivals in the first place
And ive watched few gameplay vids before making an opinion thats why i said the dev is talented to make such a big mod. But its roo big to even remotely look polished and give you any joy. If you enjoy struggling with buggy, hard to control game, do myself a favor and dont advise me joining your struggle bcs i dont have fun doing so
English Ben is the Simon Cowell of GTA Speedrunners, for better or worse. At first some of the comments I thought were harsh, but after he raided the restuarant the mod fell off so fast.
This started out fine, with some, rough edges? And then spiraled into BS. The thug thing was tedious but I don't think a literal aimbot could handle the zombie jumping towards you at mach 1 once you've missed the eight pixels in the distance. Even if you like brutally hard survival games it doesn't seem fair, and no, you shouldn't have to slow time every 4 seconds to handle an encounter without blending up your healing supplies.
Just reading the comments of the people sobbing "it's good guys why doesn't anybody understand it's intricate details and exceptional nuance!" means i already know this video is gonna be good

this mod is so goofy, it suffers from terrible translation from russian to english, no wonder things do not make sense.

this mod is a definition of a bloat. So much time of the talented developer wasted on turning GTA into a game it has no similarities with thus making it into half playable junk with weird, uncomfortable to play mechanics.
u haven’t even played this i see😂 if u did play it you would know that infact its extremely fun to play, what this person made in a youtube video is a tutorial that hes playing which is not been updated in years the main mode is survival which doesnt limit u like this tutorial does, i advise u try it before making assumptioms
bruv, play zomboid, play 7daystodie, basically any game that is tailored for zsurvival. This mod is a dollartree version of Zomboid - it kind of works, but also you get more frustration playing this than any other better alternatives. You can just jump on a car to avoid zombies, all they can do is just throw RNG specials at you those will fuck you up bcs they are buggy mess, just look at them, one can stunlock you to death and other can pin you to the ground while flying 10m above your head its so fun when you just get killed by rng so you have to rely on cheese strategies. Welp i pass and i better play other games that were designed to be zombie survivals in the first place
And ive watched few gameplay vids before making an opinion thats why i said the dev is talented to make such a big mod. But its roo big to even remotely look polished and give you any joy. If you enjoy struggling with buggy, hard to control game, do myself a favor and dont advise me joining your struggle bcs i dont have fun doing so

English Ben is the Simon Cowell of GTA Speedrunners, for better or worse. At first some of the comments I thought were harsh, but after he raided the restuarant the mod fell off so fast.
This started out fine, with some, rough edges? And then spiraled into BS. The thug thing was tedious but I don't think a literal aimbot could handle the zombie jumping towards you at mach 1 once you've missed the eight pixels in the distance. Even if you like brutally hard survival games it doesn't seem fair, and no, you shouldn't have to slow time every 4 seconds to handle an encounter without blending up your healing supplies.
Just reading the comments of the people sobbing "it's good guys why doesn't anybody understand it's intricate details and exceptional nuance!" means i already know this video is gonna be good
to be fair its a fairly amazing and impressive mod, It's just Eben is usually terrible at most things outside of speedrunning
