Whats the strategy of using your phone and not a pen and pad ... to touch millions so they pay attention to you and you stay relevent ... probably why i never heard of this guy before and i see gary vee every where's.
This isn't an interview, it's a bad argument where only one person showing up to argue is the interviewer. Terrible listening skills and therefore not good for the viewer
Gary Vee is crushing it again. I’m not sure if this is good or bad but I’m behaving more and more like Gary, I feel Gary teaches people who to be yourself, leading by example
I think that is the key. Know yourself. If you need a thrive moment to do success, do it. If you can handle the 7am to 2am world, do it. Just know what you can do and get out there. Just don't use either as an excuse or let the words 'Burn out' be what holds you back.
Dude, this guy really has no understanding of where Gary is coming from. Nodding at everything Arianna has to say, but cuts Gary off when Gary is trying to make his point clear.
As a Gary Vee fan, I think the difference between the two people is Gary is not fancy, Ariana is fancy. There has to be some "catchy name" for what she is doing when Gary just does it. Their stances, really are pretty similar, its just how they present it. The stress ball Ariana is talking about relates to caring too much about what others think. Additionally, Gary Vee makes his money on the reality that people are going to be on their devices all the time. The reality is that most people probably think we shouldn't be on our phones more, but they aren't going to do what they need, so as a result they will continue to be on their devices. So take advantage of the reality of the truth.
I'm pretty sure it's easier to schedule an interview one-on-one than to schedule a meeting in which both people have to be there at the same time. Both super busy people..just a thought
Guys, a Little feedback for you: These cuts and teasers and welcomebacks happening a million times in the video interview are just throwing the viewer's attention away... please think about reducing them or even cutting them out. Thank you
Arianna and Gary both made good points despite having contrasting, but interesting, perspectives. You could even take bits and pieces of their beliefs about work balance, work ethic, etc. and use that to create one that fits your lifestyle. Really enjoyed this video!
Good point. I felt he was being oddly biased, but that seems like a reasonable reason why he would be disagreeing with/leading one guest so much more than the other.
love me some garyvee 5:42 this guy is borderline attacking him. Not directly but making it personal to Gary like that definitely comes off that way, I could be wrong.
Jon, I don't like your robotic style of single questions, read from a sheet. I don't know if you are trying this out, but it is not my cup of tea. If you fear running out of time or the onset of ADHD, eradicate those fears! The issues here are editing sequences (lower thirds, etc.) question pacing and video structure (this video feels like many segments in one and the editor overlooked this extra edit).
When the host tried to point out how Gary Vee is a contradiction because he cares about reporting to his physical trainer yet says he doesn't care what other people think -- the host was wrong. A person caring about the people he / she reports to and is accountable to (i.e. employees and personal trainer) does NOT equal caring about the opinions of everyone else (i.e. the public). It would be a contradiction if Gary Vee said he works out bc he worries what others think of his body, which was not the case.
Awe, no! When I first got into this, I thought it was going to be you + BOTH of them at the SAME time. THAT would be such a better way to do this show! PLEASE highly consider it. This was cool, but not 'as' cool as it would be if there was 3 of you on stage at the same time. :D
Wow I’m a Gary superfan- I have never seen an interviewer grill Vee as much you have right now. I like the tension because it galvanizes real responses
6:03 Calling Gary out on why he doesn’t own the Jets yet, down to he’s phone obsession 19:20 calling Vee out on his contradictions e.g the way in which he got fit
The way of jumping from Gary to Arianna...was just whack... and you can feel that both of them could have talked more but instead we are cutting between them. Now I already know alot about Gary sow I aint missing out on anything.. but if I didnt I would have searched his name up on youtube and listen just to him in order to grasp whatever he wanted to tell
Issar Cerrato There are already a thousand other videos on RUclips of exactly what you just described. I think that’s what makes this interview different.
Omg I love this interview the first guy who had the balls to challenge Gary on his ideals, and I love how Gary respectfully disagreed. great interview and great show.
People are different, that's the lesson. What works for Gary Vee doesn't have to work for Arianna. Accept and embrace their differences. Both of them are very successful, proving that both of them have useful and proven advice.
I think its all about finding what works for you to maximize your chances of success, for some people CREATIVITY is a derivative of balance, for others its simply GRIT and HUSTLE. Find what works for you and commit to something!
You can love what you do and get burned out. Burn out can mean lacking ideas, creativity, motivation doesn't mean you want to leave/stop what you do forever
People need to understand Gary, he cuts to the chase, trims the fat, answers directly. So the question was do people need to use their phone less, Gary said no. Gary probably heard, "should we use our technological tool destructively so we have to ration our use?" Gary's mindset assumes everything has an optimal function so that adjustments make it more effective not that if a negative exists it must mean the thing negative.
Great take away from both points of view. One thing I realized while watching these two outstanding interviews is that they would make a good power couple because they are opposites but both have undoubtedly hard work ethics. Opposites attract and if we all had a good balance like that growing up, we would be more successful in our lives now.
honestly, I don't understand all the hate for the interviewer, I think he's fantastic. He's really challenging both guests and calling them out whenever he cant. He's getting the most from both of them and most interviewers would be too scared to push their interview that far.
Loved this and how it was put together! Cool to see the different answers from successful entrepreneurs like these two. Subscribed! Keep up the great work :)
Everyone has their own perception of success. Gary is heavy in the media business and his cell phone is his work tool in the same way some people use their laptops all the time.
I disagree... The burning out starts at work then fizzles when we get home so we focus on what we can control and have time for which is the instant happiness we can CONTROL and AFFORD through our technology which in all usually makes it worse because then we are officially numb/autopilot/going through the motions and have checked out which makes it hard to check back in the next day.
Great idea , don’t like how the interviewer executed the interview. The editing of the video makes me feel that it’s more siding with Arianna’s way of living. Overall both Arianna and Gary did an outstanding job.
HELL YES! (Have yet to watch this)... but I hope this gives me more of an insight in how I can will at work and life. I love Gary's extreme crush it drive but I need sleep and have ended up in a mental ward due to an imbalance.
Okay, I leave the video and this channel forever loving Gary even more. Gary isn't a "clique" "Hustler Boss" who demands everyone hustle 24/7, he has heart, empathy and a crazy work ethic. I leave understanding that I need a personal trainer for accountability to get fit.
Anybody noticed the difference between these two? There is only one person who we can learn from. The other is just successful. Guess the name of the person who can teach you more than anyone.
A lot of good feedback for this channel in the comments. I hope your listening Cheddar Team because having people like Gary on your channel is your chance at getting subscribers. Let the interview flow, if you ask interesting questions people will stay the entire time. Authenticity is undefeated.
We are listening! We film this show for television (you can watch on Fusion Thursdays at 10:30p ET) so while there are some suggestions in the comments we cannot take into account - like making it not feel like a TV show - there are plenty we can. For instance, we've taken questions from YT viewers for upcoming episodes to incorporate. If you have any other ideas let us know.
Love it! Maybe you can edit the RUclips version differently and let it be a raw cut of the interview this way people are incentivise to watch the channel! Best of luck with the show! And because I know your listening to your viewers I have clicked the Subscribe button. :)
I liked the idea of this but hate the whole "welcome back" thing like a TV show. I don't know about most people but I go on RUclips to escape all of that. I just want non-interrupted content that I can just get into a flow state with. Since Cheddar is an online news website/live show, maybe just clip that part out before posting it to RUclips or just show the commercials between programs on cheddar, or better yet use 1 product placement/affiliate marketing for an alternative source of revenue since you will be able to show that on RUclips and receive additional revenue from increased views.
sorry, but I can't see a spark of passion in the interviewers eyes, the video objectivly is good, but instead of a conversation it's more like Question -> Answer -> Question -> Answer etc.. not bad, but could be way more interesting than it is [EDIT]: read through some other comments, looks like I'm not the only one that thinks that the interviewer sucks
Great job presenting differing perspectives. I wish he would have asked more follow up questions though. It would have been for a far more engaging interview than just going through a list of questions.
Black and White example of Selling Vs. Telling your truths. no winners and losers. Both methods work. But Gary literally wrote the book on storytelling

he didnt graduate college?? you messed up
trying to push an opinion on gary.....won't happen hahah
fucking love it man
My thoughts exactly
Whats the strategy of using your phone and not a pen and pad ... to touch millions so they pay attention to you and you stay relevent ... probably why i never heard of this guy before and i see gary vee every where's.
Dany #gotaworldtosee you think they would learn! Lol
Thats how we russians are
This guy was low key throwing shade at Gary and praising Arianna
This show is a genius idea... but poor execution due to the interviewer.
The interviewer is biased. He’s siding with whoever affirms his notions rather than trying to understand and learn from the answers presented to him.
@Krish Kalra And he's just straight not doing that and disagreeing as soon as or before hearing the idea

Totally! some people can't handle the 7 am to 2 am even when is something they love. Passion is something really spetial
Bryant Art
It's a bad thing. Gary V is extremely ignorant and nuanced.
Dude, this guy really has no understanding of where Gary is coming from. Nodding at everything Arianna has to say, but cuts Gary off when Gary is trying to make his point clear.
Yeah, who is this guy? Talking down to Gary about using his phone?
Gary V for the win
As a Gary Vee fan, I think the difference between the two people is Gary is not fancy, Ariana is fancy. There has to be some "catchy name" for what she is doing when Gary just does it. she's not fancy...she's Greek. English is her second language, so her vocabulary is more formal.
These in between sequences are so annoying. Just let these two people chat and have a conversation and stop talking yourself and interrupting.
preach!
Yea i thought he would have them talk but i can see where this guy is trying to make himself the star but lol
It's so they can lengthen the video so you'll spend more time looking at their crap.
Dosage you mean so you block their videos. I definitely never want to watch another
I'm pretty sure it's easier to schedule an interview one-on-one than to schedule a meeting in which both people have to be there at the same time. Both super busy people..just a thought
5:43 i think you are addictd to your phone - hey silly t's like saying to lebron 'i think you are addicted to shooting baskets"
I'd prefer a conversation between Gary and Arianna with a moderator instead of two stand-alone interviews cut and edited to fit together.
The biggest difference between Gary and Jon is that Gary reads from real life , Jon reads from a piece of paper ...
Interesting! Go *GaryVee* !
Gary curses more than anyone I know, but he says "I grab my phone and take a poop".
D Lo hahaha seriously tho.
Ikr What a Legend.!
lol gary curses more than anyone you know? lol where you living at
yea they bleeped him
Isn't it interesting that both of them agree on one thing: Gratitude is the key
This really needed to be a three-way conversation and not two separate interviews
This is why I like Gary, he's always true to himself and always out to win! (Even though he's been winning for years)
When #GaryVee said I love snoozing, it almost brought tears to my eyes. Thank you! :D :D
Sumit Menon bit of a relief when one of ya heroes says it’s okay haha
The irony of asking entrepreneurs, most of whom are workaholics, about proper work-life balance
I'm definitely a strategic snoozer... except my snooze period lasts for about 2 hours!
Guys, a Little feedback for you: These cuts and teasers and welcomebacks happening a million times in the video interview are just throwing the viewer's attention away... please think about reducing them or even cutting them out. Thank you
It’s their style of production that actually is what kept me. Every viewer doesn’t feel that way 🤷🏽♀️
Arianna and Gary both made good points despite having contrasting, but interesting, perspectives. You could even take bits and pieces of their beliefs about work balance, work ethic, etc. and use that to create one that fits your lifestyle. Really enjoyed this video!
AFS 401k Retirement Services finally some wise comments.
I think you are actually seeing a difference between someone who truly loves and lives their job and someone who doesn't.
TheSingleGuy i couldnt disagree with you more. The reason being them both have a sense of gratitude and ambition and humbleness in their own right.
Feels way too much edited....
Maybe I'm way too much used to the raw garyvee.
He could definitely work for a news outlet. Seems so robotic in his talking and questions to set someone on fire.
This whole video seemed slanted against him.
Jon seems to have some sort of beef with @garyvee
Jon loves garyvee
i think its more that jon knows how to get the most out of gary. gary is always best when someone is challenging him.
Agree 100%
Good point. I felt he was being oddly biased, but that seems like a reasonable reason why he would be disagreeing with/leading one guest so much more than the other.
Life's too short working 10 hours a day at a job you hate.
love me some garyvee 5:42 this guy is borderline attacking him. Not directly but making it personal to Gary like that definitely comes off that way, I could be wrong.

Exactly.
Gary’s response was terrible. But the question was nit picking nonsense.
Vaynernation !!!!
The only person that's worth listening to is Gary
He helped me see a higher perspective on Work-Life Balance
Awe, no! When I first got into this, I thought it was going to be you + BOTH of them at the SAME time. THAT would be such a better way to do this show! PLEASE highly consider it. This was cool, but not 'as' cool as it would be if there was 3 of you on stage at the same time. :D
Gary's whole philosophy is to find what works for you as an individual and then pursue it like a champion.
Interviewer needs to stifle his bias lol. He's not the draw here, no one cares.
Wow I’m a Gary superfan- I have never seen an interviewer grill Vee as much you have right now. I like the tension because it galvanizes real responses
That was interesting - he handled it well
What part do you feel it got grilled?
6:03 Calling Gary out on why he doesn’t own the Jets yet, down to he’s phone obsession
19:20 calling Vee out on his contradictions e.g the way in which he got fit
Hardly a grilling
for an interviewer that is pretty combative, Gary goes pretty much unchallenged when he gives interviews.
I LOVE what Gary said about his employees and nurturing their strengths - sounds like an amazing company to work for
The way of jumping from Gary to Arianna...was just whack... and you can feel that both of them could have talked more but instead we are cutting between them. Now I already know alot about Gary sow I aint missing out on anything.. but if I didnt I would have searched his name up on youtube and listen just to him in order to grasp whatever he wanted to tell

That was really smooth. But i can tell that this was put together to be biased. Both these people are awesome. The interviewer sucked
Arianna Huffington lovely. She was clear and empowering.
This was great and I'm a big fan of Gary but absolutely loved everything Arianna said. You can see she takes care of herself - she looks great!
Very enjoyable. Great concept. Like how the two guests are interviewed separately. Get to hear all the contrasts.
People need to understand Gary, he cuts to the chase, trims the fat, answers directly. So the question was do people need to use their phone less, Gary said no.
Gary probably heard, "should we use our technological tool destructively so we have to ration our use?"
Gary's mindset assumes everything has an optimal function so that adjustments make it more effective not that if a negative exists it must mean the thing negative.
9:37 ! Best question ! Best Answer ! #VeeIsLegend
Great take away from both points of view. One thing I realized while watching these two outstanding interviews is that they would make a good power couple because they are opposites but both have undoubtedly hard work ethics. Opposites attract and if we all had a good balance like that growing up, we would be more successful in our lives now.
I love Cheddar. I follow Jon on linked in and I always find myself in awe in whatever the video is. Great job with your content!
I've never been able to poop first thing in the morning....kinda jealous.
It's the road to succes! & a damn good feeling lol
Bigger dinners and a ton of water first thing when you wake up will make for a nice morning poop haha
Glacier life I can just instantly do it, I even wake up for it lol
Oh man that's some serious skill right there!!! lol
Glacier life we all gotta hustle right 💪😂😂
honestly, I don't understand all the hate for the interviewer, I think he's fantastic. He's really challenging both guests and calling them out whenever he cant. He's getting the most from both of them and most interviewers would be too scared to push their interview that far.
Love Gary! He's hears people's view, but stays true to who he is!!!!
I mean look at the way the interviewer sits? He obviously chose sides with Adrianna for a reason lol
Loved this and how it was put together! Cool to see the different answers from successful entrepreneurs like these two. Subscribed! Keep up the great work :)
It's not a contradiction 19:11 Gary clearly chooses who's opinion he cares about and how much of it he cares about.

Two questions to the point.1: Can I share your video?2: Can I share your video with Spanish subtitles?
This was awesome. Gary is a baller.
I don't know if you've heard the headline, I'm a walking contradiction. LEGEND.
This was great! Thanks for making this :) I enjoyed it.
Really Enjoyed these interviews thank you!
If people are upset that we're 'addicted to our devices', they're gonna be sad for a looooong time. FB, Insta, Snap - literally the beginning.
Excellent show!
ehhhhhh I like what Gary has to say
Anybody noticed the difference between these two? There is only one person who we can learn from. The other is just successful. Guess the name of the person who can teach you more than anyone.

John, put the teleprompter closer to the camera. You are looking too far away to the side in order to read it.
I liked the idea of this but hate the whole "welcome back" thing like a TV show. I don't know about most people but I go on RUclips to escape all of that. Anyone have a link for Gary's shoes or know what kind they are? @garyvee
sorry, but I can't see a spark of passion in the interviewers eyes, the video objectivly is good, but instead of a conversation it's more like Question -> Answer -> Question -> Answer etc..
not bad, but could be way more interesting than it is
[EDIT]: read through some other comments, looks like I'm not the only one that thinks that the interviewer sucks
Damn. Really good questions. I’m impressed. 👏
Great job presenting differing perspectives. I wish he would have asked more follow up questions though. It would have been for a far more engaging interview than just going through a list of questions.
21:16 The summary of the whole thing.
Everybody hates the interviewer 😂😂
NGL I feel like the interviewer HIGHLY Favoured Arianna Huffington... Gary Vee held it down tho
This is a great interviewer.
You have a really good show but sadly more people need to see it, keep it going:)
But the philosophy of the show is great!
video starts at 3:30
Black and White example of Selling Vs. Telling your truths. no winners and losers. Both methods work. But Gary literally wrote the book on storytelling
“Grab my phone and take a poop” ~ GaryVee, 2018
Wow, two powerhouses. Nice video!
Find a girl that loves me the way Gary loves "Air Quotes"
Great story
Im just trying to figure out how this channel got verified with only 13k subscribers
thought this would be a discussion but i only watched for gary
i wanted to watch these two debate
When he said that’s a contradiction, he wanted to call him the fuck out. The interviewer is jelly of Gary
What's with the breaks? Just play the interviews.
Arianna is typical corporate: saying politically correct things, saying them the right way, doesn't actually mean much in the end! You basically feel that you walk away having just heard a politician tell you how it's all bad, but it's gonna be good as long as it doesn't stay bad, but you need to feel optimistic that it's gonna be good!
"Grab my phone and go take a poop."- gary (ha ha!!!)
Contradiction? There's a big difference between random opinion's from observers vs the "opinion" of a trained health specialist hired to help improve one's health. What a complete stretch.
Gary Vee 💯💯💯
why are there so many "welcome back"s?
The core conflict between men and women right here
