I've had one since Christmas of 2022, which i got it on Amazon for $100 off, on sale. I have to be real here...this is more than worth its price. I would highly recommend this to ANYONE thinking twice about purchasing it. It does everything you want in a handheld.
@@HistoriaOrbis74 I'll buy this if you could get it under $100 otherwise not worth it because it doesn't even have Wi-Fi 6
@@danzen6246 in the real world, it works better if not the same as devices with Wifi 6. The antennae on this one are strong.
Found one locally for $100. Guy bought it and is having a kid or something so he’s dumping it. Diamond in the rough.
4:28 This is a common misconception, your internet speed doesn't matter for local streaming, since its all done through your local network. I live in the middle of nowhere and have slow internet with very high latency and steam link works amazingly with almost no compression artifacts or input lag.
Hey man, I am getting one within a week and I am also in the middle of nowhere so I have to use a hotspot device rental from my local library would the g cloud work on this 4g hotspot device?
Like all I'm wanting to use it for right now is call of duty mobile and warzone mobile,
@@willieh762 If the 4g hotspot device has an ethernet port to connect to your host PC, then it would work fine. If it doesn't, you're gonna have a bad time. If you have literally no other options for ISPs then try star link, it's even available in Antarctica. But if you happen to live in a USA sanctioned country like Russia or China then you are SOL.
I bought mine after your first video and you’re right this thing is awesome.
I just ordered an open box G Cloud in excellent condition from Best Buy for $231. It will be here on Wednesday. Definitely looking forward to it!
It’s a holiday today but did you get it? And how is it?
It’s been great! 😃
I use it to stream from my Xbox Series X, and from my PC via Moonlight/Playnite. I’ve also got Game Pass Ultimate and GeForce Now Ultimate.
I have several android games that I also play natively on it as well as some emulated games. It runs PSP flawlessly and it looks awesome on the large screen!
It will emulate up to PS2 and Game Cube, though.
It’s definitely not the most powerful android handheld, but the screen size, comfort level, and battery life make it a slam dunk for me.
I have been on the fence getting one of these for awhile now 👀
Same here!! I might check it out if I find a deal
I love mine , definitely fun with the right emulations and cloud gaming world really well

Own both the gcloud and steam deck , much rather play the gcloud. I only use within my home can't speak for outside the home
@@zotkyleful Really? For what reasons? I ask Because I have gotten THOUSANDS of hours of use out of my SteamDeck (first batch, so it's been a while) and was looking at the G Cloud recently as a possible second handheld. If you don't mind, what are some of the pros and cons between the two, in your experience?
yeah i love my g cloud! yes its a streaming device for modern games but I use it at home when I want to game in bed or on my recliner.
Also the physical button to touchscreen settings was a thing since the early days of the g cloud!
Hello logitech if you are reading, please bring updates to our g cloud. I have one and I love it, but we need a more current Android, a formatted SD card that supports files over 4GB, the possibility of using Rom memory in RAM, root access. Then it would be perfect.❤
If you format your SD card as internal storage (instead of portable storage) it removes that file size limitation.
I love mine. Use it all the time to stream my Xbox and ps5 games to it.
I'm finally getting one next month 🎉
Might have to get 1. I'm primarily interested in emulation, but how does it handle newer games? Could I install & run them from an SD card (yes I know new games are massive)?
Awesome video, great bullet points on the updates it is exactly what I was looking for to make my decision to buy! Great work brother!
would you suggest any specific android games for it? Also wonder what logitech next handheld be like. Will they do another streaming device or do something different. While not into mobile gaming i have noticed a few decent games on android. Maybe logitech, android, and google team up or something? idk lol just interesting seeing devices like this on the market.
Found one at a local pawn new in box for 140$ after using the steam deck for over a year im excited for something smaller yet lasts much linger
Looking for a remote player for my consoles as can’t always get on them, don’t wanna pay the price of all the other handhelds is this one worth it
RG556 vs G-Cloud...opinions?
RG556 is nice but the G Cloud does more, much more and lasts a lot longer.
How is the latency like can you play online?
Which Android tab would you compare this to? 🤔🎮
Who plays 12hrs straight gaming. I can play 1 or 2 hours then pass out
@@lionsden7626 He's paid to say what he's saying.
I have both switch, steam deck and G Cloud. G Cloud definetly gives more in terms of games. It gives the best picture quality. And it is most comfortable (albeit with several problems compared to the steam deck). Also I bought used for 180 dollars. In that sense this is the beast as a device. Also it allows a lot of game emulation.
Sadly it is far from perfect. I should point out several glaring issues that I have. First - controls are far from perfect. It's on par with switch, which is not a good sign. To keep it short - all parts are good enough, but not awesome. All control elements have some issues or questionable design IMO. Worst thing is the D-PAD. Don't get me wrong - it is very much usable, but it is squeaky, stiff, and has problems with diagonals. In the end I'm actively avoiding any d-pad heavy games. Also I'm avoiding heavy use of triggers because on my device they are squeaky too. And quick google search shows that it is a common issue. Compared to G Cloud, steam deck has waayy way better controls, mountains above.
I'm a big fan of local streaming. It works wonderfully and grants many amazing things. However - there are small problems with it, that I've encountered. And it isn't the obivious one - I don't have any lag or bad picture quality - all works great. The problem is somewhere in the software experience, especially when you start new game. Most of the time it requires me to configure the game on my PC, not from G Cloud. Sometimes it is resolution, sometimes it requires some off beat button like Enter once. Just to launch and play a game is rarely a smooth experience. But once it going - it is really awesome!
In the end no, this device can't switch other handhelds. It is far from perfect streaming handheld. I don't know why, I would easily pay for a perfect one, with an awesome controls and OLED screen. But sadly there's no such thing. By the way, Gamesir G8 has way better controls than G Cloud. We just can't find good combination for it...
Can you play Steam and Epic games on it?
Can I play destiny 2 in here
So it can’t stream if I’m away from home?!
You can just need to open ports on your router.
I got mine in the Philippines for 170 usd
@@EmersonCatalan-z1m but how. Im from the philippines
Does it have haptics?
yeah vibrations work during games 👍
Ehh... I think it's a great device but it's too expensive in my book. Around $200 is where I think it should be. I was really lookin into one of these but used Steam Decks are going for $300 and that's a way better value at the same price. I hope they "update" the G Cloud with an NTFS formatted drive and new color ways.
it was often discounted to $250 when the price was $350, just have to keep an eye on it maybe it will get bumped down to $200 during major holidays
Just ordered mine , thanks for the great review 😊
It’s light because there is nothing really in it, it’s basically a controller shaped android tablet, unlike the Deck & ROG that are actual handheld PCs
I wish the steamdeck or ROG was that size
They aren't that far off in size, the real killer is the weight.
@@SwirlyJoe That would be pretty impossible given that they're essentially portable gaming PCs
i order wana try it
In all honesty, I still think this thing isn't worth it, not because the hardware or quality feel bad, but because it's still an Android device and it's mostly focused on streaming, something that isn't, and never was, attractive
I used to think streaming wasn’t a legit way of gaming but my thoughts totally flipped the last few years since services have gotten so good. If you’re hardwired and use remote play it almost feels 100% native.

So glad your site and channel aren't doing well. You guys were so hostile.
What a strange thing to say
Awfull device not worth the price for the same you can get a Xbox one s or a second hand Xbox x series wich are more then this crap device
@@Unknownpersonsx Unless you’ve used one or
Owned it how can you say it’s awful. Plus if you don’t like someone else will
Question: How did Gamurs manage to kill this channel like the Escapist? Didn't Laura K write for this channel at some point?
You conveniently forgot to say ps play is 6 dollars a month. Get a backbone for 99 dollars.
PS Play is a one time purchase. No recurring charges. I have it.
@edwardj.dourajr.3616 and is the software official sony. No, it's third party if sony catches this they will take them down. Also, they could be taking stuff off your phone illegally. Is it worth 99 dollars or maybe a savings of maybe 15 dollars and a cheaper phone controller. Took me 2 months to get a ps backbone and we'll worth it. If you want to be cheap by a controller and a strap for your phone yes you can use a ps4 controller and a 15 dollar strap device.
@@patrickhewitt7899 Nobody really wants to play games on their phone though and combining two devices will never be the same experience as playing on a dedicated unit
