I'm glad HTC kept elements like the notification tray, quick settings and Recent apps menu nearly stock. All I need now is the Google Now launcher and it will look 95% like pure Android. Well done HTC
I don't know what color to choose, they both look so good. But that black gives it a very nice silhouette look
I hope the camera is good and I will make the switch to htc. I'm a big fan of htc and this one looks good.

Just pre-ordered the HTC 10 from the UK's website for a review! Honestly, I'm pretty excited about the 10. I was a fan of HTC in the past but then I went with Samsung mainly because HTC had bad cameras. Hopefully, the HTC 10 will be a great camera phone
This is probably the my most anticipated phone of the year. I love HTC and it seems they're delivering a truly great phone.
This phone is literally what I've been waiting for all this time. Was having a hard time choosing the Nexus 6P over the Galaxy S7 but this looks like the best of both worlds in one. Well done HTC!

I honestly think that the LG G5 is the hottest flagship phone of the year and the second one is the Samsung S7 Edge but when HTC 10 was announced, I was left in awe! I was mesmerized and now I am in love with it! I never thought that HTC will be back with a bang! The black face with a gold backing looks as hot as hell! I would love to have an HTC 10! :)

There's no way that the G5 is better than the S7 edge. G5 is #4 Behind S7 Edge, HTC 10 & the S7.

IKR! Funny how that is one of the biggest improvements, ironically, but it def is.
There is some space above the fingerprint scanner. I'm surprised they didn't put it there. I'm OK with the branding as long as it doesn't take extra space like Samsung or even LG
+alexander skin it's still there, just w/o the HTC logo, it honestly ruins the look of the phone to me. Waaaaay too much space between the bottom of the screen and the home button imo

I'm so glad htc turned it around with the body design while still keeping in the form of the m7 through m8 styles it tweaks it a bit. Much bigger fan of this phone than the previous design.

i think i've finally settled for the upgrade of the year.
I still have my HTC One (m7), I must admit that even after more than 3 years with it. I really love it and very pleased with my use of it. This phone does seem promising and seems to be a worthy upgrade (for now at least). I'm looking forward for the reviews of Android A. & MKBHD to see the true quality of this phone.BTW, that black colour scheme is sexy.
If this phone had ip68 certification, that would make it the *ultimate phone* in the market right now

It does have IP53 support if that helps.
When doubted HTC brought its "A" game, something LG apparently needs a hand at doing more consistently.
My sites are set on the HTC 10 Max which I hope they improve upon unlike the M8 and M9 Max editions.

Loved your the reviews a lot, all things covered. But I think it will be great if all your videos are in 60FPS. I watched the S7 review in 60FPS and I'm blown over with the smoothness of the video. Hope you guys can implement that.

Honestly, this seems like the best phone I've seen all year. HTC is now at the top of my list when its time for me to upgrade in a few months. Now I'm just waiting to see what the new Moto X will be like.
Nice improvements HTC.. No black bar with HTC logo, optical stabiliser on front cam and finger print sensor.. Just hoping the boom sound is still high quality like the m8 and m9.. Can't wait for the full review...Nice review Joshua.. U are always on time for your subscribers

I think this is going to be the one that makes me try HTC. From all the leaks I had my doubts but the fact that is has a 24bit dac in there just might be the one that drives it home for me. Plus no bloatware, always a good thing.
The black color is one of my favorites so far.
Finally HTC, though it's too early to say, but I think you guys nailed it this time! Definitely a sure buy for me!

I have to admit HTC has always made smooth phones with great fluidity. owning a galaxy s7 plus for a few months and i've noticed some lags and freezes and also restarts on its own. thinking about jumping on the iPhone 7 though, because apple as well has always been consistent with smoothness.

This makes me miss my M7 a lot. That phone was so fast to me back around those days in comparison to Samsung. Now Samsung is pretty fast but still held back by its RAM management and Touch whiz. I can only imagine how fast HTC would be today! I just wish they added multiwindow support...but being so blazing fast, it probably wouldn't even matter anymore with how fast I could just switch back n forth between apps

I understand why Google'd want this, but frankly it's dumb. Google's software is just straight up BAD compared to HTC's. Music is useless unless you have All Access which is not available outside the US and EU, Photos sucks battery so hard, so does Chrome. Worse still, Google is pushing services that are literally only available in the US and the EU to the rest of the world!
Paolo Ariedo well, I like Google apps. I especially like how Google Music backs up all your music and you can stream it on your phone without having store it all. This is a fantastic, feature no one else does. P.S. I havent experienced Photos draining my battery on my devices, so it must be an isolated issue.
Pier Galeone I hear you, but All Access is literally not available in my country, so that's useless. And I'm not the only one who's experienced drain with Photos, even if everything's been ticked off. I don't like how Google is forcing it upon EVERYONE their services, available in your country or not, or functional or not...
Paolo Ariedo photos is still fairly new and is regularly getting updated, I'm sure they'll fix it. BTW, that Music feature doesn't require all access, nor do I use all access. I don't see how Google is forcing anything when you're free to switch default apps on Android and never use any Google apps. That's the beauty of android.
Pier Galeone I do NOT have the feature you're referring to at all. Nada. Nil. Also, Google keep saying they're "fixing" bugs and deficiencies with Photos time and time again. But still folks are complaining.
My concern is that Google "worked with" (could be kindly asked, could be forced upon) HTC to force their services. And they're getting their services faster than they can fix deficiencies. As you said though, it IS replaceable and a marquee feature of Android, why should it be that the end user has the burden of fixing the deficiencies of Google's services?
Recently purchased the Galaxy S7 EDGE in Black and I can easily say it's the best phone I've ever used...Samsung have NAILED the look, user friendliness and functionality in my eyes.

I'm actually looking forward to the HTC 10 considering I'm coming from an HTC One M7.
I'm stuck between the LG G5 and the HTC 10. I currently have the LG G5 but before I had the HTC M7. My M7 went out a few days before the release of the G5 and I needed a phone asap so I got the G5. I'm an HTC fan but I love the option of swapping out batteries and the wide angle camera of the G5. I'm stuck between the two.

Never thought I would feel that HTC clearly knocked Samsung out of the park here. I was worried that HTC releasing after Samsung and LG might cause it to drag even further behind, instead it was a case of saving the best for last! Bravo HTC seriously impressed

I feel that after the disappointment of the HTC One M9, they needed a pretty compelling device in order to make a bit of a comeback.
And to me, they did with the HTC 10. Personally, I think it looks great and they also seem to have finally addressed the camera as it is apparently the same sensor from the Nexus 6P but with a wider f/1.8 aperture and OIS. Couple that with speedy software and other parts of the phone and I think this is the phone HTC needs to recover from the M9 debacle.
Let's see if they can sell as many of these as possible. Because they need that.

+GoldenZdude I would take the 10 anyday now. Much better user experience. The only thing better on the S7 now may be the display. Everything else (build quality, design, UI, sound quality with or without headphones, and probably battery life too).
4K video , high bit rate audio , RAW photo option , microSD and internal memory merging option , sleek looks. I was going after the G5 now I think this might be it.
Well the G5 is surely a solid option too , modular design ( A first in the world ) , a dual camera setup for wide angle pictures and extremely fast autofocus , it has also the same CPU which is the SD820 and a gorgeous screen .
Anyway both phones are nice .

yeah but man I watched a review on youtube on the G5 yesterday and the build quality is no were near a flagship. The edges don't join up , there is a gap between the base the rest of the phone - could get dust in, the power button/fp scanner is loose and the anodized paint particles don't feel premium.
+TheForge10 Well you know this just might be a bad unit because everybody outthere is touting the g5 especially its revolutionnary build ( modular smartphone ) and of course the base and the rest of the phone arent' sealed because the former is removable but I don't think you should worry about it LG has always made great smartphones , they also said that they used a new technique on the G5 body I forgot its name but it's like they painted the aluminium body SL that you don't see the antennas , that makes for a smooth build .
Anyway if you have any doubts you must go check it in a store rather than watch it on RUclips .

how does the volume rocker feel?? I loved my m7 so much and got the m8.....hated the sensitivity of the volume rocker and had to sell it. I would love to maybe go back to them as I am done with Samsung and their awful customer service. Not so sure about the change in speaker placement as I love using speakerphone. good review as usual
+Johannes B.R wow....I'm in Florida and I got no help at all. I just wanted to mail my phones In to have the screens replaced (I'd pay) . Had to use an awful company (ubreakifix) and spent USD630 for the two....neither of them work now after going back 3 times each. the phones are sitting in a drawer . I have given up on Samsung .
This might be the phone with the best form factor out at the moment.

How did they fare speed wise on the 10?
Looks pretty good, other than a chunky. Battery life and camera will probably be the deciding factor.
Front facing speakers sell it for me~ so many phones got disqualified for not having that feature~
Maybe it's a bit nitpicky, but the HTC One A9 doesn't have capacitive buttons, they're GUI keys. Other than that, nice video!

htc 10 is so good and so beautiful specially black colour but when i'm thinking to the sony x performance this is a regular phone like other one,i think htc 10 bightness is less than others

i was expecting the same, lets see how the manual mode on htc 10, i kinda bit worried about overexposure on this device. f1.7 and 1.44micron is kinda bit overexposed for s7 it takes me awhile to setting my s7e on manual mode, this one f1.8 with 1.5 micron is sickXD nexus 6p f2.0 with 1.5micron is great on lowlight idk bout tthis one.
Now this looks very, very promising from HTC. I'm interested to make a switch....

I think the HTC 10 is this years Galaxy S6, they reinvented themselves and it looks really really good so far
htc 10 and lg g5 is galaxy s6 this year, both great device but still having experimental feeling.

+dominiktheboss well maybe but IMHO i feel G5 is like s6, but yeah it may not as perfect as s6 when it release, lots of negative comment on g5, infact i was surprise how and why lg quality control is very bad thia year, s7 release same date as g5. but samsung open pre order faster and sell it on retailer faster than G5 but the quality is great. but G5..... the extra time doesnt improve their quality control...

There's something almost no reviewers ever talk about, at least since the One M7/Nokia incident ... What about audio recording? Can I take the HTC 10 to the front row of a rock concert or disco? You mentioned high-res audio, can you tell more about it, please?

well, I was about the LG G5 with the hi-fi "friend" for the best audio quality, but know this.. Which one would your recommend? G5 with the 32bit dac Bang & Oflusen, or this beauty HTC 10 with a classic 24bit dac? The G5 still has a plus cause the wide angle camera... But, again, that is a nice HTC... What do i DO?!

Design is still sexy, those specs, dat dac and dat display. I might for once buy a flagship when its actually still a flagship.

Speakers though a downgrade from the old One line are still better than just one down firing speaker and the skin looks great. Youre trashing it just for not having what you want in design and for not bringing anything innovative but really when was the last time anyone innovated? and I mean REAL innovation.
