It's amazing how the bobcat had so much kinetic energy in it's sprint, yet so much control that the rest of its body flipped forward while its head and paws stopped in mid-motion to capture the rat!

This happened a few weeks ago in Austintown, Ohio. We were at a car show and someone saw a "dog" near the woods. Ah, try coyote. Looking across the field, we also see a groundhog. Just like this video, the coyote went into stealth mode and moved in. The final charge and the groundhog was done. Thanks for posting.
I think it actually made it back into it's hole but the bobcat got its arms in there and pulled the ground squirrel out as the cat tumbled over itself.
Slow this down to .25 speed and you’ll see the ground squirrel had just grabbed a bunch of nesting material and then headed back its burrow, this may have slowed it a milli second or two and that was enough time for the Bobcat to catch it.

I was thinking the same thing. Different parts of the body were doing different things. Amazing!
Not a rat. Ground squirrel.
@@RUclipsr-k2p All I know is I witnessed a homicide take place and I hope the Bobcat doesn't find out!
That’s a rat, not a squirrel. Squirrels have bushy tails, this one doesn’t. Maybe a pack rat.
Take that rat! 🤣
not a rat. probably a packrat

Good kitty! Is that a chipmunk?

Looks like the rat thought it could make a dash back into its nest in the ground before the bobcat could get it, big mistske.
Ah a snack, stealth mode time!!
Does James Carter have the power to stop the coming destruction judgement on Baltimore city?

Wow! Awesome
we need bobcats in our cities.
That's why I will never use poisonous baits to kill rodents!
He was further away from the hole and the rat had a head start. Crazy to see he still snatched him up
0:23 It's a ground squirrel.
Just another day at the office for the bobcat
The rat would've gotten away if he hadn't turned around.
No his only chance was to get back in his hole, look at the moment the bobcat grabs the squirrel/rat it is trying to go down a hole.

And you can see it actually made it back down into it's hole. The bobcat was shoulder deep in the hole to pull the ground squirrel out.
love nature
That probably hurt.
Fucking awesome
Speedy 🫣😻
Cats are beautiful killing machines!
Just a snack😂
Moments like this are sacred and nobody should be oggling at the death of nature's creatures.

Hello Andy, ?
Suicide by bobcat.

That wasn’t a cat. You see that it going into a hole
It was a ground squirrel. If you step through frame-by-frame you'll see that the bobcat had to get in shoulder-deep to pull the ground squirrel out.
Bobcats are cats buddy.
