In addition to that Falcons dumping, there’s also that Pats game where the awful pats had three horrendous TOs that gifted them 17 points in a 34-0 clobbering.
Yes we are the weirdest team ever because if you only watch the games, we suck, but if you only look at stats, we were amazing. But as always, my Saints are going to the Super Bowl
At the end of the day, the Saints lost the division on a 3rd tier tiebreaker to the Bucs. They were legitimately ONE game of Derek Carr not getting hurt Vs the Packers, up 17-0 away from hosting a playoff game & the Packers potentially missing the playoffs. The Klint Kubiak factor is the biggest “X Factor” for the Saints. If they can hit the ground running & if he can fix the run game & O-Line, the Saints could have a Top 5 offense & be looking at 12+ Wins. That’s actually more plausible than anyone wants to admit, considering the track record of OC’s from that scheme & the experience Klint Kubiak has gathered, being with Kyle last season and this being his 2nd time calling plays, he’s had that experience to hopefully make him better this time around. Also, the run the Saints had at the end of last season, with much improved Red Zone success had to do with Carr getting healthy AND they increased the amount of play action & motion they were using which really helped the entire offense play better!
The fact that you think Derek Carr, the most mediocre QB ever, who has NEVER won a playoff game, has the ability to lead a top 5 offense?? Yeah, you are truly lost
@@Kyle-bi7df you sir are a douche. Carr is far from bad. Infact played well when not beat up or injured. The other thing is why on earth would they need a top five o? The defense is good and with a tiny bit of help from the kicking game they win multiple more games.
I think the late touchdown on the falcons was more of a 'do it for Jamaal and I'll take the heat since I'm gone' thing rather than any rivalry. As a Fan, I loved it tho.
As a Saints fan I am a little frustrated, not with this season in particular but the development over the past years. After Brees left we could and SHOULD have broken it all up given up players like Lattimore, McCoy, Davis (all players I love) and others for draft capital and to get our Cap back in order and just completely redone everything. We missed that chance and now our Cap situation is still horrible and biting us in the ass and we have a weird situation where there are too many players that are declining in quality or just not good enough to contend however especially with Adebo & Olave it also feels like we have way too much young talent to just completely blow it off because I do not want to see these players leave. It leaves us in a weird place where we could be really underestimated and a dangerous dark horse, if the offense clicks and Carr finally plays a truly great season or be the same bottom feeder we were previously.
Good nuanced breakdown on the category rankings. Some of those rankings probably aren't separated by much especially on a cupcake schedule. Making the Pats tap out 34 - 0 in week 5 is more on the Pats offense giving up than anything else. Hilariously enough much like how the QBS/Power score shed insight to the Falcons underachieving season, it does the same for the Saints in how they 'overachieved' in their season. That being said Saints still need to hit on a franchise LT. Also didn't realize the Saints had the same issue like the Bills did under Dorsey. Big EPA darlings with nothing to show for in red zone production.
Not gonna lie last year we had the team to do it..injuries hampered us early in the season..Carr should have sit and rested a cpl of games and rolled with Winston.. and Pete was the worse play caller I've seen since the Hebert days..I truly believe we filled the holes we had with decent players .. we should make the playoffs for sure this year.
Great show. I'm a Who Dat Fan! I love watching other analysts than just homers. 🎯 for sure. Saints will actually drop one of the seven they should absolutely win and win a couple they should not. It'll be a roller coaster!
i don’t know if i totally agree with kamara not having any type of rebound. i think he’s just as hard to bring down and just as smart as he’s always been. but he had for the past two years one of the least creative and most predictable run games in the league. now with a guy like kubiak i could totally see him finishing around the rb15 mark
Excellent synopsis, you truly captured the essence of being a Saints fan. Key to the season in my opinion is offensive line being better than last year and can they generate pass rush outside of Carl Granderson.
For context...... About Kamara: He was hurt for a portion of the season. If he stays healthy this year, he will take the number 1 franchise rushing spot this year WITHOUT even a 1k yd season and 2 years earlier than his predecessors. That's because he's consistent. On top of that, the o-line on Penning's side, wasn't that great for the first half of the season and he needed help. He is NOT slowing down. That's just plainly incorrect. Same with Cam Jordan. He had an off year last year because he played injured.
Jamaal Williams completely deserved that final td he wasnt doing good this season and he was the leader in rushing td’s last year FUCK THE FALCONS, i hope jamaal becomes a fan favorite
@@ATLfalcons808did you not just watch the episode he said we were not gonna be a bottom feeder and i definitely trust a person with certified knowledge then a autistic human being
You deserve what you earn. Getting a touchdown out of victory formation was a show of weakness. I like Jamaal, but that was a "pity touchdown," and not one to be proud of. 🤷🏿♂️⚜️
WHO DAT time. This enigma of a team was 1 field goal twice and 1 catch from making the PLAYOFFS. Thank god Pete is gone. I had to watch him send slow michael thomas on FADE ROUTES I wanted to die.
The Saints O-line struggled at the beginning of the season and the offense couldn't find an identity under Pete Carmichael. Carr was often playing injured due to poor pass protection, Kamara missed the first 4 weeks, they couldn't run the ball, and the timing wasn't very good in the passing game. They kinda turned it around at the midway point and the defense played well all season. If the O-line improves over last season (Trevor Penning particularly) Kubiaks offense will set this team up for success with the weapons they have they could look alot like last years SF team.
40:54 at the end of the season a lot of the players lost respect for allen because he kept doing the same old speech and we kept playing mediocre so fans were tired of him and the players were as well jameis winston was our future and he went out like a hero DA and Mickey need to go
The thing is, people were pissed at Greg Schiano all those years ago, because he was telling his players to try to break through when the offense was kneeling down when the unwritten rule is that when they're just taking a knee, the game is over and basically just a formality and you're not supposed to treat it as a normal play. If you do, and the offensive guys aren't expecting that, it's kind of cheap (and an injury risk). But of course the flip side of that is, if the defense is supposed to let them take the knee if they're going to take the knee, the offense should actually take the knee.
I rly don’t think these guys r as confusing as y’all make ‘em out to be. They’re the purgatory team. They're competent but they spent years mortgaging the future for the present and now they’re living in that future. They’re gonna win 7 games.
I see the saints as potentially one of those teams where the defense might struggle a bit more than last year to start, they lose momentum and get like 4-5 wins and everything gets blown up
I would love to see just one team where ur like ‘this is a normal, unremarkable, middling team that makes intuitive sense. We know what they are, and they are not shrouded in mystery. They capitalized on their potential last year, playing at or around their ceiling. This year they rate to be slightly worse’ Like I love y’all’s content but u make it sound like every team is a huge aberration that should be so much better than they are.
Ughhh the saints have been in this competitive rebuild/middling team forever it seems like. Even with the end of Brees career. I watched them play my bears with a backup rookie qb and it took 4 INTs to win. So crazy. Derek Carr just isn’t him. I bet saints fans would agree they need to move on from him and their coach. I just remember Derek Carr yelling at his teammates for his own crap throws or mistakes. Other than the Jaguars idk a more mid team they have great pieces in olave kamara shaheed and i really like their secondary. Cam Jordan is done imo
Nothing wrong with a quarterback yelling at a receiver for jogging his clear-out route. Olave had done it a few times before and Carr finally called him on it. 🤷🏿♂️
If rattler works out for us we're a t.e ,wr, og, and backup rb away on offense all attainable in an off season...if he doesn't we gotta draft another QB 1st rd next year but we can win 8 games with our defense this year in a tough NFC south with the falcons and bucs at the top
We’re so mid it’s just a straight line we’re not bad enough to get a good pick but not good enough to do anything of significance it sucks so much we’re directionless and spinning out tires 😭
The salary cap is only real if you believe in it. The cap has never made it so they couldn't get/keep the players they want. However, they have made bad choices on who to keep/pursue. Pete Carmichael can only function with Sean Payton or Drew Brees. He is why Alvin's stat's suck. Any Shanahan/Kubiak offense will make him ball out. I don't do fantasy, but I expect to hear people talking about this as a comeback. Kool-Aide is going to have fight to get on the field if everyone is healthy. Lattimore is still lockdown, Paulson Adebo could have another should be pro bowl year, Alontae Taylor is another very good corner.
I lost respect for Jamis when he trashed us and went take a back up role to a guy that’s not getting benched whag I mean by this is I understand why he trashed the team but he talked himself up as he’s going to play for a contender an short shifted himself another words don’t speak on something an not hold your word therefore he is an enemy again
@@RandomXbox That punk just wanted an apology because of his inflated ego. Big ass crybaby. Like a 4 year old child. For 3 years. The way they did. To me, every TD the Saints scored, was like another nail in Arthur Smith’s coffin.
Most quarterbacks with poor offensive lines are bad in the red zone. In 2016, when Carr had a great offensive line, he was top 10 in the red zone. Quarterback play doesn't happen in a vacuum and Carr has had bottom 5-10 offensive lines most of his career.
The Winston-Williams shenanigans vs. the Falcons was just a showcase of childish immaturity on behalf of the player and the coach, but could absolutely have been predicted based on Winston's overall body of work. You don't put him on your team or in the game unless you're comfortable with him doing something foolish and stupid. But the coach should have kept his temper and dealt with it behind the scenes (including getting rid of him in the off season). Letting the whole world know that your entire team (not just the QB) ignored your calls and you lost shiat publicly about it just makes you look like a kid having a tantrum.

as a saints fan right when we signed carr i knew what this team had done to itself for the next 2-4 years kept ourself stuck in mid for the time being don’t understand why this team won’t just hit a proper rebuild. Guess i gotta hope somehow this “competitive rebuild” leads to the team being ready except for a qb in the next 1-2 years but i don’t have much faith in that but we do have couple of exciting units and a young players to look towards to this year let’s see if the defensive robotic head coach who is an amazing defense play caller and looks to be lacking in the head coach spot can work with a young offensive coordinator if it does then at least it’s a start which feels like we still don’t know if we are starting a rebuild or continuing the delusional stretch of thinking we can win
Your problem is believing Dennis Allen is a capable head coach. Amazing DC but certainly not HC material. While other teams admitted to going full in on roster overhaul and rebuild project (even if they don't get it right 2-3 years earlier), Loomis continues to kick the can down the road. Probably because owner Gayle Benson is okay with it.

It’s a shame you guys aren’t better analytical guys. There was division on the team. Winston was creating an undercurrent of dissent. Carr fought for the team and Allen got rid of the problems

Kamara has been wayyy under used he was never supposed to be a power back just like Reggie had little success in New Orleans he’s a pass catching back you get him in space an out on screen plays running the outside zone they best highlights of his career are not because he was young they had the best 1-2 punch in the league at the time in mark an kamara
Kamara usage has been criminal, until you look at Baun usage
Pete Carmichael being a hopeless buffoon of an OC explains last season. Kubiak should make this team dangerous this year
They are talking about Klint not his dad. Klint hasn't shown shit despite having learned under the wide zone offense tree.
Mediocre. The saints ceiling is mediocrity
Yay Denis Allen. Lol
WHODATT ⚜️⚜️⚜️
every thing that was said just had me nodding my head. post brees era has been.... i dont even fucking know
At the end of the day, the Saints lost the division on a 3rd tier tiebreaker to the Bucs.
Exactly this team is not bad the oc held them down
The fact that you think Derek Carr, the most mediocre QB ever, who has NEVER won a playoff game, has the ability to lead a top 5 offense?? Yeah, you are truly lost
@@Kyle-bi7df you sir are a douche. Carr is far from bad. Infact played well when not beat up or injured. The other thing is why on earth would they need a top five o? The defense is good and with a tiny bit of help from the kicking game they win multiple more games.
Don't have a chance of finishing ahead of Atlanta now
Seeing these 2 wearing my Saints gear and talking about the team for over an hour is PEAK content ⚜️🙏🏾🖤💛
The first minute of the show. Every Saints fan is yelling back at the screen and repeating what u said. LMAO
It's 3.30am in the middle of winter in South Australia. Back to bed at 4.30am I guess!
perfect timing just sat down to smoke
But did you smoke enough?
These video titles just keep getting better and better
Kamara is going to ball out this year with this new offense watch
Kamara is almost 29 years old and has 2,000 career touches. The tread on those tires is thin.
Excellent synopsis, you truly captured the essence of being a Saints fan. Key to the season in my opinion is offensive line being better than last year and can they generate pass rush outside of Carl Granderson.
Great video I love the first mins of listening to this video as a Die Hard Falcons fan
Falcons have been in poverty since their first year lol
@erickivell7779 yall need to sale yall franchise yall suck so bad lmao
@@arkang3l80 “sale your franchise” lol the Atlanta education system has failed
I've been waiting for this video for a month frrrr 😩😩😩
i wish these were even longer LMAO love y'all boys
I believe for the Saints it came down to offensive scheme and coaching. I believe in them this year
Hit the nail on the head with the redzone struggles. It was so painful to watch last season.
My Saints 😭😭 favorite team since 1999 l. They truly perplexed and hurt me last season
Jamaal Williams completely deserved that final td he wasnt doing good this season and he was the leader in rushing td’s last year FUCK THE FALCONS, i hope jamaal becomes a fan favorite
Saints about to be bottom feeders for the next 5 years 😂😂 panthers should be better by 2025😂😂
@@ATLfalcons808did you not just watch the episode he said we were not gonna be a bottom feeder and i definitely trust a person with certified knowledge then a autistic human being
You deserve what you earn. Getting a touchdown out of victory formation was a show of weakness. I like Jamaal, but that was a "pity touchdown," and not one to be proud of. 🤷🏿♂️⚜️
That is former AFL player Matthew Hayball. I think also played for West Adelaide in the SANFL.
I love being a Texans fan bc I can finally point and laugh at poopy teams
Really hope they use Equanimeous more than the Bears did. He has good YAC ability, can block, and is a sneaky deep threat.
In Trevor penning we… don’t trust
I see the saints as potentially one of those teams where the defense might struggle a bit more than last year to start, they lose momentum and get like 4-5 wins and everything gets blown up
I would love to see just one team where ur like ‘this is a normal, unremarkable, middling team that makes intuitive sense. We know what they are, and they are not shrouded in mystery. They capitalized on their potential last year, playing at or around their ceiling. This year they rate to be slightly worse’ Like I love y’all’s content but u make it sound like every team is a huge aberration that should be so much better than they are.
hate watching today, so excited for the bucs episode tomorrow / whenever it is! thanks as always, you two!
Our fan base is divided between the wanting to still be competitive and wanting to clean house / start a new QB … we need a mixture
1:21 Average post-2016 Derek Carr Experience
I tell everyone that I’m a Saints fan during the off seasons and that’s about it
The Most Purgatory Team in the NFL. Change my mind.
Steelers?
@@Jdmerrill1986 Fair point. But I feel like Steelers can remedy their situation. The Saints can not

Great Job Guys !!
If rattler works out for us we're a t.e ,wr, og, and backup rb away on offense all attainable in an off season...if he doesn't we gotta draft another QB 1st rd next year but we can win 8 games with our defense this year in a tough NFC south with the falcons and bucs at the top
This is a pretty good video regardless of the kamara slander
Pretty much nailed how saints fans felt about last season
See I feel backs like Alvin should get their carries an quickly go to wr the hands that man has he could be the new age cordale Patterson type player
Carr is a play action quarterback! His numbers escalate with play action
brother we also have no idea what the fuck is going on with this franchise and have not for at least 3 years
Roster wise the team is neutral compared to last year. But I go thumbs up on the Saints because they finally will run a 2020s offense.
Yall should visit New orleans for the super bowl would be sick
Kendre Miller will take the CMC roll. Probably 1200 yds. If he stays healthy
In Klint we trust
I'm edging here wating for the Bears vid
saints CAP discussions are always hilarious
Scared for my Bucs episode
@57:57 this is the approach you have to take with the Saints unless Drew Brees is the QB
As a falcons fan we are pussies for asking Dennis to apologize
Who was asking for him to apologize? I was shocked he even did that
Apologize for what. That wasn’t his decision. That’s was decided by one of the most clownish players to ever play in the NFL.
@@EthanNeal Arthur Smith asked for an apology in the post game press conference
He definitely didn’t. You can watch it again but he said “he can do whatever he wants, but I told him how I felt about it.”
@@RandomXbox That punk just wanted an apology because of his inflated ego. Big ass crybaby. Like a 4 year old child. For 3 years. All he did in his pressers & in the games, was roam up & down the sidelines pouting & having temper tantrums. As a Falcon fan. I have never wanted the Saints to beat the Falcons as bad as they did. The way they did. To me, every TD the Saints scored, was like another nail in Arthur Smith’s coffin.
As a Falcons fan, i am here because Brett said "yesterday" he will shit-talk the Aints.
They had bad QB play. People are scared to say Derek Carr is kinda bad but will shit on QBs like Justin Fields or Zach Wilson.
Sean Payton left the Saints in shambles and he's going to do the same in Denver.
Derek Carr is the worst Red Zone Quarterback of my lifetime.
Only Gayle Benson still thinks Dennis Allen is an actual head coach. NO ONE ELSE does.
Mickey loomis does
I really hope Brett And EJ aren’t about to tell me that my favorite team is F’ed

Dennis Allen runs the defense. Woods does what he is told.
The OC Pete Carmichael was god awful and thankfully he is gone….
How do you not pick Taysom for Fantasy? I haven't even heard yalll mentioned him. It's pathetic . Add up his TDs last yWilliams? Consider him breaking an NFL record or rather it hasn't been done for the last 60 years. Take a good look at the Saints record when Hill gets the ball more than 7 times. 17 and 1 record. Y'all don't deserve Hill. I wish he was traded to the Broncos however the interviews with the coaches indicated.they are designing ways for Taysom to get more.touches. Also Miller over williams? Yall need to send me what you're smoking.

F*** the Falcons and Dennis Allen should have been fired after last season -An apathetic Saints fan
Man I hate the Ain’ts. Dirty Birds taking the division. Keep up the great work guys.
Yall our sons 28-3 48-17
as a saints fan right when we signed carr i knew what this team had done to itself for the next 2-4 years kept ourself stuck in mid for the time being don’t understand why this team won’t just hit a proper rebuild. Guess i gotta hope somehow this “competitive rebuild” leads to the team being ready except for a qb in the next 1-2 years but i don’t have much faith in that but we do have couple of exciting units and a young players to look towards to this year
let’s see if the defensive robotic head coach who is an amazing defense play caller and looks to be lacking in the head coach spot can work with a young offensive coordinator if it does then at least it’s a start which feels like we still don’t know if we are starting a rebuild or continuing the delusional stretch of thinking we can win
we once again play one of the easiest schedules this year
also if the redzone offense is terrible we will prob win more and think we are good again
@@t4d0W i did say he was lacking in the head coach spot and called him robotic so not believing in him much but he does deserve praise for his defensive play calling. Got little to no faith in what lions is doing until i see it work we are once again like -80 in cap next year dont see anything changing without a clean house or somehow we draft like gods in the next couple years

Has someone mapped ranking in Pt Scored gameday by gameday? I bet the Saints is just a bigg-ass M/W pattern across the middle of the league.
It’s a shame you guys aren’t better analytical guys. There was division on the team. Winston was creating an undercurrent of dissent. Carr fought for the team and Allen got rid of the problems
What's Michael Thomas up to? Did he retire?
Was with you until the Kamara takes. Run production was down due to bad play calling and bad O-line play. He’s still a beast will be the number 1 over Miller without question.
Does Carr get that same excuse?🤷🏿♂️⚜️

Another reference to the Jets 2023 QB situation like they didn’t run thru 17 different lineman. Zach Wilson was scapegoated so hard. Dood was a good QB. Tired the the disrespect. Funny how so many people who “know” football can be so clueless on something and just follow all the propaganda scapegoat mainstream sports media. At the same time you said Jameis Winston was a good backup last year. I love Jamis but he was shaky last year. And stop acting like Derek Carr was good last year.
