Can I just make a quick note as an indigenous person. The whole feather things is absolutely ridiculous in this context. Every single culture has used feathers as decoration during some point of their history. It's not exclusive. Not to mention, it would be a caricature if the cats were actively trying to impersonate negative stereotypes in the rest of their design/personality. Otherwise a feather is a completely universal decorative item. Some examples of other cultures readily using feathers are, the celts, the vikings/normans, the germanic, the romans, a large quantity of african communities accross the continent. Even in Asia the use of feather adornments is historically commonly known. No one can own something so accessible. I hate being marginalised and stereotyped. A feather alone is not a caricature. As for the rest of the video, your stance is very admirable. You don't have to apologise for refusing to support harmful behaviour.
Fr though. The Pakistanis use peacock feather headdresses with a similar style to the native american ones. Egyptians use ostrich feathers in a similar headdress way aswell. The feather issue, whoever it was whom made the document should’ve mentioned other cultures having feathers. Feather headdresses are not exclusively native american. The feather drama is just like the whole dreadlocks drama.

and the fact that most of the people saying its appropriation are not even indigenous is so odd to me. like where did you get the idea that you can say what is harmful to indigenous peoples without getting their input first? non-indigenous people are so quick to silence indigenous people and speak over problems that affect the indigenous community and not non-indigenous people without even getting input from indigenous people first. it blows my mind how ignorant people can be!!
Please don’t apologize for leaving WCUE, Abby. I completely understand as I’ve also stopped playing WCUE entirely. As a black person, it was incredibly hurtful to see one of the developers proudly using a racial slur which in my experience has caused me a lot of pain. I’ve always seen this developer as a role model - their games were a huge part of my childhood, and they were a coping mechanism for me in a way. I just can’t play this game anymore without feeling extremely off knowing what the devs have done, and the fact some people are mocking/dismissing this situation because it doesn’t effect them or that they “don’t care”, makes me sick. BIPOC warriors fans are often silenced within the fandom when it comes to addressing racism along with other issues, and it’s incredibly hurtful to see so many WCUE creators dismiss this entire situation or defend the developers actions.

That is absolutely fine! You do what you feel is comfortable. A lot of the things that the developers have done was absolutely disgusting. I'm not saying all the developers are bad people, but a good majority of the team is terrible. I'll be sticking around to see what other content you'll get into. And I hope others do as well. :)

It was very mature and thoughtful of you to make this video. Though WCUE was what brought me to your channel, I quickly fell in love with your other content. Though it’s sad to see developers with so much potential be so unkind, it’s the way of the world and if they’re going to carry on with their behaviour then they don’t deserve to have such a wonderful fan base. You shouldn’t worry about losing fans because of not doing WCUE anymore, because I’m sure they’ll give the rest of your content a try and see how amazing it truly is! I’ve stepped away from the game for the exact reasons you explained, it was a hard decision because wcue has brought me many good memories and is one of the only ways I really get to rp anymore, even if I’ve never bought a game pass and can play “without supporting the developers” I just personally can’t play in good faith anymore, knowing what the devs have done would just completely ruin the experience if I tried to play again, however like you said if the developers actually try to atone for their past mistakes I may consider coming back so I’m holding out a little bit of hope

Such a mature and responsible way to go about this, acknowledging that playing the game by itself isn’t supporting the developers, but making content about it is. Looking at the the docs, this stuff is all pretty gross… but it’s very comforting knowing that even folks as deeply intrenched in the community as you are willing to step away from it when stuff like this come to light. I may or may not still try out the game at some point (I never got around to playing it after learning about its existence some time last year) but I wasn’t planning to give them any money in the first place, and I’m certainly not going to now! Please consider quitting, there's going to be another warrior cats game called Warrior Cats: Gardens that'll fix the gamepass issue around quitting by transferring the passes over.
This vid was made 3months ago but like this person was spamming and a mod came and blah blah blah /10,283 hours later/ I asked the mod if the devs were racist they actually said yes! The fact that so many people are using what use to be innocent entertainment for children, to pressure certain topics is shameful. We should feel PROUD, to feel part if this community! But they are not making it easy. I understand why many people, including you Abby, have stopped creating WCUE content, and I’ve been considering the same. I don’t have any specific recourses to point you to. I haven’t read ALL of the books, but so far they haven’t been a problem for me. You could just sit with her, have her show you around the game, and that could be a good conversation starter. The game and books aren’t necessarily toxic. It’s the some developers and parts of the fandom that are the causing trouble.

Within the game itself it tends to be rather calm, but you do sometimes get the occasional person being rude or trying to do something inappropriate (by sitting down behind another player to make it appear as if characters are mating). In general, the game is pretty tame, but since it's an online game, definitely communicate with your kid and just make sure she is aware of internet safety and not trusting strangers. :) That's all!

I didn’t know about any of his until now, and I can totally understand where you’re coming from. I’m going to try and step away from WCUE too, at least for a while. It must be terrible to feel so suppressed by people who actively work on a game you enjoy, and as someone who’s contemplating their being Ace, it may be hard to play WCUE in the future. I love my characters, and I don’t think I’ll be able to help coming back to them eventually, but you’ve inspired me to step back and think a little. Didn't know about this until now so thank you for bringing this to the surface! I have already left the discord WCUE sever and will not be playing the game anymore, though the WCUE videos you made brought me here I will still be here no matter what games you stop playing or start playing. I think you and many other content creators that used to be a content creator of WCUE have made a reasonable choice leaving. Lots of love to everyone that needs it!

SO many people have been banned in the discord and still are being banned for this. they say the truth, or link the document and get the ban hammer. ive stopped playing wcue entirely due to the devs and playerbase (some peoples loyalty towards the devs and game itself is... bleh). hopefully more people will be aware of this now thanks to this video.

I stopped playing WCUE because I got tired of it, but after hearing what the devs have said I'm somewhat glad I stepped away from it. It's sad to hear that a game I used to love playing being played by little kids who could see these harmful words. As a Native American myself (or ingenious person) I never found the feather behind the ear hurtful, I just thought it was a piece of nature just like a leaf. I can see how other people can find it hurtful and I'm glad it got removed :). Also, it's perfectly fine you've chose to leave the game! I've always loved your content whether it was WCUE or not! I've also stopped using the game for other reasons, mostly because the game just wasn't fun anymore. It never seemed like anyone was actually roleplaying and it was always just specs. It felt hard to find a actual good roleplay anymore. I will always cherish the memories I've had with WCUE but I think it's time that I left it behind. Have a good rest of your day
The problem was it was only one or two self-proclaimed indigenous people who found it offensive, and nobody was using it offensively. It was ridiculous to remove it or get offended about it in the first place. This is a children’s game, do you really think a feather behind a cat ear is going to spawn racism? I’m honestly baffled. Frankly it seemed like it was just out of attention and jealousy. People always want someone or something to attack to feel important.

You are free to support what you wish but spending robux on the game is by definition supporting the developers. It is something that cannot be separated, unfortunately.

I personally won't be leaving the game because my love for the series and roleplaying is permament, but I respect you and though I will forever miss your WCUE videos, for they have brought me to the community, I understand why you are leaving and I hope this game will improve so maybe, just one day, we can see the return of the golden age.
Though I know about this, I’m going to give them a chance to apologize, and lend our trust again, I will still play because I like the game and have spent a lot of money on this game. I hope the developers learn from their mistakes from the lack of people playing, if they do apologize I will think about coming back to buying game passes since I enjoy them but it supports them and I under stand why many people are angry at them, so am I.

I found your channel through said game, but I didn’t subscribe due to the game, but due to your personality and just how amazing you are….Now, sadly, I do wish to play the game, due to spending way too much many, but I will not tell people about the game, or even talk about it at all anymore, and I will not being spending anymore money on this game. It's very understandable, I would do the same thing if I was in your shoes. I was not even aware of all of this information until now. Unfortunately I do still play cuz it's one of the few good animal simulators on Roblox that is mostly free but there's no way I'm advertising it to anyone anytime soon

Me and my brother are currently making a Warrior Cat Inspired Game. Where you create a colony and can upgrade different things, Claim Territory. Hunt, gather, and interact with other clans. Watch out for dangers. There's a entire Skill section for your cats to train up too, as well as born attributes. Much much much more is with it too. The progress of it's development is going pretty good too and we hope to having a playable demo soon, or just playable for alpha testers to help find bugs. ^^; We do want to make sure we're not infringing on copyright so Ranks of cats are originally called other things, but can be all customized to what you want. As can if cats change Prefix, Suffix, or Don't change their name at all. We have a discord for the game currently, so those interested can suggest things they'd like to be in the game. :)
Oh Abby- you don’t have to apologize at all! We understand that it is sad what the devs have done, and that they need to stop and apologize. Wcue is what got me into warrior cats, without it, I wouldn’t have joined the fandom or discovered amazing wcue ccs (like you). It makes me very upset that this happened. I hope one day they will say sorry and the game will be brought back together. With that being said, a lot of ccs who don’t play Wcue have moved to a game called Felinda. If you have already made a video about it I haven’t seen it yet, sorry. But if you haven’t seen it yet, Felndia is a cat game that isn’t based off of Warriors. While it is a roleplay game, it’s more of a “level up and customize your character game”. You can dig up chests to earn coins, and there is a super rare sky chest that everyone is trying to get that gives you wings. The reason why I am very mad at the devs is because of how they acted, the fact that they still haven’t apologized, and how big of a following they have. The things the developers have said as well also can hurt some people. I bet half the people in this comment section aren't privileged or spoiled, you seem like the type though. And by ignoring this issue it will only continue and we as people will never change.
And even then, if you look it up you can see that some of the developers have continued using the hateful words despite "changing". And they were pretty bad, an example is they said the n word multiple times and thats only 1 example. Besides the developers being awful, the WCUE fandom and players are really rude sometimes and I honestly don’t want to handle roleplaying with mean, hateful people that make fun of my ocs, call me or my ocs slurs, or just are extremely mean and rude out of roleplay and do not consider the thoughts and feelings of others playing.
The game also starts to feel... Bland, with bad devs, regular graphics, and bad animations. It is just not fun anymore, the roleplaying community is becoming toxic, and the experiance itself is now boring. Personally, I found another game on roblox, called "warrior cats: the lake territories" quite enjoyable. Anyhow, I am happy you did this video Abby!
Even though a lot of the devs are bad, one time I was in a server with VERY inappropriate trolls. A mod was called and banned them. They wished us a good day, so did I.
I know I am quite late to the video, but Abby, I totally support your opinion! Even if you stop making WUCE content I will always support you. It is disappointing that the developers are doing/saying such things. I myself have stopped playing WUCE because of this inappropriate content. If WUCE gets new developers I would plan on joining the WUCE community again. I believe in the past the WUCE developers gave the community a LGBTQ+ neck accessory and that it was removed within the next year. I am glad to be seeing more of the WUCE community start knowing that they are supporting developers who have been doing such things. well i think that the warrior cats community is hot garbage! here's why. 1: a few days ago, i did a social experiment with a couple of friends on this game to test the community. we all played as new players "lunas" and went around asking people how to play, there were 3 of us and we all asked about 10 people each. across those 30 players about 10 of them were actually quite rude, 18 didn't respond, and the rest you can figure out. so overall 28 players failed the social experiment, some not as badly as others but we've done this with a couple of games, and this was by FAR the worst. apart from wcue, ALL roblox roleplay games are bad, why? the community. usually, the mods are toxic or corrupt (wcue among other reasons) or trolls like lisa gaming and scammers (welcome to bloxburg) or just general toxicity of the community (brookhaven, adopt me, etc etc)
The feather things make no sense. Does it just mean that because people have used it as a racist expression in the past it cant be an accessory for a fictional cat game? That shows how easily offended people can get.
As a child, I am thinking about quitting. I don’t want to be influenced by them, so I’m going to try and find another warrior cats game, or just stick to the books. No matter how much I want to play all the new updates, it won’t be good for me. We can all find a new game that we will enjoy playing just as much, making us still happy. If you find this offensive٫ it is ok to remove it. -I agree with it looking alot like feathers٫ and I totally think it is just a item to replace them. But٫ I do not think this is meant to be racist. Petals٫ (as far as I know٫ correct me if I'm wrong٫) are not associated with the stereotypes made by colonizers/European Americans. For people who did not hear the problem٫ they would be mad for them removing the feathers. They would be pressured into bringing them back٫ but they wouldn't want to٫ as to not make that situation happen again. So what do they do? They make a replacement. Thank you for listening. I stopped a whileee ago, when i first played and the game first came out it was so positive and happy. I remember having a friend named Deer’fur lol. And as it got older it started turning more negative along with the players.. it just felt like you couldn’t use your imagination anymore and have fun.

As an LGBTQ+ person I have entirely stopped playing WCUE because of these reasons, you don’t have to be sorry Abby, we completely understand why you would not want to play this game anymore.
You shouldn’t apologize at all, especially after what the developers have done. I left a few months ago without knowing this, and I’m so glad I did. However recently I’ve heard they’re making a new game called “Warriors: A New World”, and I just randomly joined as a concept artist, and they are very selective of who are the mods or not. Not me advertising the game by all means, but if you wish to go to a different playform to just give it a go then I’m sure it’s always open.
What's even worse is that in their discord, their rules state, and I quote, "We have zero tolerance for posts regarding: • Racism, homophobia, sexism, transphobia, NSFW, nudity, gore, or disturbing content. Please notify staff if you discover content you are concerned falls in this list" They're even bigger hypocrites than I am. Also, I completely understand Abby, as do many, if not all of us. I do miss the feathers accessory, but I only liked it because it was pretty--nothing else to it. When I discovered why they got rid of it though, I understood. I will admit, I have been completely ignorant of the developers' actions because I do not use many of my time going on discord, so I didn't know they were being this bad. I am sorry to everyone who have been mocked, hated on, deceived, etc. by the developers, and I am sorry for not noticing until now. I hope you all find a Warrior Cats game made by better people. I haven't been on WCUE for a few weeks now, so I don't think that it'd make much of a difference if I said I'll stop playing. Can I just make a quick note as an indigenous person. The whole feather things is absolutely ridiculous in this context. Every single culture has used feathers as decoration during some point of their history. It's not exclusive. Not to mention, it would be a caricature if the cats were actively trying to impersonate negative stereotypes in the rest of their design/personality. Otherwise a feather is a completely universal decorative item.
Some examples of other cultures readily using feathers are, the celts, the vikings/normans, the germanic, the romans, a large quantity of african communities accross the continent. Even in Asia the use of feather adornments is historically commonly known. No one can own something so accessible.
I hate being marginalised and stereotyped. A feather alone is not a caricature.
As for the rest of the video, your stance is very admirable. You don't have to apologise for refusing to support harmful behaviour.
Fr though. The Pakistanis use peacock feather headdresses with a similar style to the native american ones. Egyptians use ostrich feathers in a similar headdress way aswell.

Please don’t apologize for leaving WCUE, Abby. I completely understand as I’ve also stopped playing WCUE entirely. As a black person, it was incredibly hurtful to see one of the developers proudly using a racial slur which in my experience has caused me a lot of pain. I’ve always seen this developer as a role model - their games were a huge part of my childhood, and they were a coping mechanism for me in a way. I just can’t play this game anymore without feeling extremely off knowing what the devs have done, and the fact some people are mocking/dismissing this situation because it doesn’t effect them or that they “don’t care”, makes me sick. BIPOC warriors fans are often silenced within the fandom when it comes to addressing racism along with other issues, and it’s incredibly hurtful to see so many WCUE creators dismiss this entire situation or defend the developers actions.

I’ve stepped away from the game for the exact reasons you explained, it was a hard decision because wcue has brought me many good memories and is one of the only ways I really get to rp anymore, even if I’ve never bought a game pass and can play “without supporting the developers” I just personally can’t play in good faith anymore, knowing what the devs have done would just completely ruin the experience if I tried to play again, however like you said if the developers actually try to atone for their past mistakes I may consider coming back so I’m holding out a little bit of hope

Looking at the the docs, this stuff is all pretty gross… but it’s very comforting knowing that even folks as deeply intrenched in the community as you are willing to step away from it when stuff like this come to light.
I may or may not still try out the game at some point (I never got around to playing it after learning about its existence some time last year) but I wasn’t planning to give them any money in the first place, and I’m certainly not going to now!

The fact that so many people are using what use to be innocent entertainment for children, to pressure certain topics is shameful. We should feel PROUD, to feel part if this community! But they are not making it easy. I understand why many people, including you Abby, have stopped creating WCUE content, and I’ve been considering the same. My whole life, I’ve always wanted to stand up for what I believe is true, and if I just ignored all that’s happening with the community, and toxic it’s getting, it wouldn’t be right. I don’t have any specific recourses to point you to. I haven’t read ALL of the books, but so far they haven’t been a problem for me. You could just sit with her, have her show you around the game, and that could be a good conversation starter. The game and books aren’t necessarily toxic. It’s the some developers and parts of the fandom that are the causing trouble.

Within the game itself it tends to be rather calm, but you do sometimes get the occasional person being rude or trying to do something inappropriate (by sitting down behind another player to make it appear as if characters are mating). In general, the game is pretty tame, but since it's an online game, definitely communicate with your kid and just make sure she is aware of internet safety and not trusting strangers. :) That's all!

I stopped playing WCUE because I got tired of it, but after hearing what the devs have said I'm somewhat glad I stepped away from it. It's sad to hear that a game I used to love playing being played by little kids who could see these harmful words. As a Native American myself (or ingenious person) I never found the feather behind the ear hurtful, I just thought it was a piece of nature just like a leaf. I can see how other people can find it hurtful and I'm glad it got removed :). Also, it's perfectly fine you've chose to leave the game! I've always loved your content whether it was WCUE or not! I've also stopped using the game for other reasons, mostly because the game just wasn't fun anymore. It never seemed like anyone was actually roleplaying and it was always just specs. The problem was it was only one or two self-proclaimed indigenous people who found it offensive, and nobody was using it offensively. It was ridiculous to remove it or get offended about it in the first place. This is a children’s game, do you really think a feather behind a cat ear is going to spawn racism? I’m honestly baffled. Frankly it seemed like it was just out of attention and jealousy. People always want someone or something to attack to feel important.

I personally won't be leaving the game because my love for the series and roleplaying is permament, but I respect you and though I will forever miss your WCUE videos, for they have brought me to the community, I understand why you are leaving and I hope this game will improve so maybe, just one day, we can see the return of the golden age.

It's very understandable, I would do the same thing if I was in your shoes. I was not even aware of all of this information until now. Unfortunately I do still play cuz it's one of the few good animal simulators on Roblox that is mostly free but there's no way I'm advertising it to anyone anytime soon

Me and my brother are currently making a Warrior Cat Inspired Game. Where you create a colony and can upgrade different things, Claim Territory. Hunt, gather, and interact with other clans. Watch out for dangers.
There's a entire Skill section for your cats to train up too, as well as born attributes.
Much much much more is with it too. The progress of it's development is going pretty good too and we hope to having a playable demo soon, or just playable for alpha testers to help find bugs. ^^;
We do want to make sure we're not infringing on copyright so Ranks of cats are originally called other things, but can be all customized to what you want. As can if cats change Prefix, Suffix, or Don't change their name at all.
We have a discord for the game currently, so those interested can suggest things they'd like to be in the game.

Wcue is what got me into warrior cats, without it, I wouldn’t have joined the fandom or discovered amazing wcue ccs (like you). It makes me very upset that this happened. If you have already made a video about it I haven’t seen it yet, sorry. But if you haven’t seen it yet, Felndia is a cat game that isn’t based off of Warriors. While it is a roleplay game, it’s more of a “level up and customize your character game”. You can dig up chests to earn coins, and there is a super rare sky chest that everyone is trying to get that gives you wings. And even then, if you look it up you can see that some of the developers have continued using the hateful words despite "changing". And they were pretty bad, an example is they said the n word multiple times and thats only 1 example.

The game also starts to feel... Bland, with bad devs, regular graphics, and bad animations. It is just not fun anymore, the roleplaying community is becoming toxic, and the experiance itself is now boring. Even though a lot of the devs are bad, one time I was in a server with VERY inappropriate trolls. A mod was called and banned them. They wished us a good day, so did I.
I know I am quite late to the video, but Abby, I totally support your opinion! Even if you stop making WUCE content I will always support you. It is disappointing that the developers are doing/saying such things. I myself have stopped playing WUCE because of this inappropriate content. If WUCE gets new developers I would plan on joining the WUCE community again. I believe in the past the WUCE developers gave the community a LGBTQ+ neck accessory and that it was removed within the next year. I am glad to be seeing more of the WUCE community start knowing that they are supporting developers who have been doing such things.

i think that the warrior cats community is
hot garbage! here's why.
1: a few days ago, i did a social experiment with a couple of friends on this game to test the community.
we all played as new players "lunas" and went around asking people how to play, there were 3 of us and we all asked about 10 people each. across those 30 players about 10 of them were actually quite rude, 18 didn't respond, and the rest you can figure out.
so overall 28 players failed the social experiment, some not as badly as others but we've done this with a couple of games, and this was by FAR the worst.
apart from wcue, ALL roblox roleplay games are bad, why? the community. usually, the mods are toxic or corrupt (wcue among other reasons) or trolls like lisa gaming and scammers (welcome to bloxburg) or just general toxicity of the community (brookhaven, adopt me, etc etc)

As a child, I am thinking about quitting. I don’t want to be influenced by them, so I’m going to try and find another warrior cats game, or just stick to the books. No matter how much I want to play all the new updates, it won’t be good for me. We can all find a new game that we will enjoy playing just as much, making us still happy. -I agree with it looking alot like feathers٫ and I totally think it is just a item to replace them. But٫ I do not think this is meant to be racist. Petals٫ (as far as I know٫ correct me if I'm wrong٫) are not associated with the stereotypes made by colonizers/European Americans. For people who did not hear the problem٫ they would be mad for them removing the feathers. They would be pressured into bringing them back٫ but they wouldn't want to٫ as to not make that situation happen again. So what do they do? They make a replacement. Thank you for listening.

I stopped a whileee ago, when i first played and the game first came out it was so positive and happy. I remember having a friend named Deer’fur lol. And as it got older it started turning more negative along with the players.. it just felt like you couldn’t use your imagination anymore and have fun.
I understand, I will still continue to watch and enjoy your content, it’s a decision you made I and I will not fight with that.

As an LGBTQ+ person I have entirely stopped playing WCUE because of these reasons, you don’t have to be sorry Abby, we completely understand why you would not want to play this game anymore.
You shouldn’t apologize at all, especially after what the developers have done. I left a few months ago without knowing this, and I’m so glad I did. However recently I’ve heard they’re making a new game called “Warriors: A New World”, and I just randomly joined as a concept artist, and they are very selective of who are the mods or not. Not me advertising the game by all means, but if you wish to go to a different playform to just give it a go then I’m sure it’s always open.
What's even worse is that in their discord, their rules state, and I quote, "We have zero tolerance for posts regarding:
• Racism, homophobia, sexism, transphobia, NSFW, nudity, gore, or disturbing content. Please notify staff if you discover content you are concerned falls in this list"
They're even bigger hypocrites than I am.
Also, I completely understand Abby, as do many, if not all of us. I do miss the feathers accessory, but I only liked it because it was pretty--nothing else to it. When I discovered why they got rid of it though, I understood. I will admit, I have been completely ignorant of the developers' actions because I do not use many of my time going on discord, so I didn't know they were being this bad. I am sorry to everyone who have been mocked, hated on, deceived, etc. by the developers, and I am sorry for not noticing until now. I hope you all find a Warrior Cats game made by better people. I haven't been on WCUE for a few weeks now, so I don't think that it'd make much of a difference if I said I'll stop playing. Thank you for informing us of this, Abby, and I hope you continue making the other content you make!
You don’t have to apologize for leaving, I haven’t because I’ve spent so much time and money on the game, but Im taking a break. But the devs are just being horrible to others and I don’t think I’ll be supporting the game much anymore learning this. Thank you for helping spread awareness!
I understand I would do that aswell but there are .3 things I don’t like what sometimes happens when I play the game things are invisible for me in area.2 I get game pauses .1.this one I love.that you customise your cat all the other stuff ❤I do still play the game after watching this cause it is a massive part of my child hood but this will help me knowing it
Wcue was my absolute favourite game and right before I found out about the devs I bought all the packs, I felt so bad that I have stopped playing completely and I now ignore the game, I’m sorry everyone, I know now
Although I completely understand how terrible the creators of the game are and know why you feel this way and are leaving I don’t think some people (who see this video) are going to leave, myself included. I don’t support what they are doing but I’m already addicted to the game and don’t know if I could stop playing. Thanks for explaining why you won’t be playing anymore and spreading awareness about the creators.
