    The squeaky sound is normal for a metal guide rod. Put a couple drops of oil on it or swap to a plastic guide rod. Shoot it and over time the squeaky sound goes away. I had that issue everytime i swapped to a metal guide rod. The fouling could be probably cheap ammo for testing. Mine looks new and unfired but i ordered frame and upper separately.

    My Dagger runs great. Before I make judgements on a gun, I always clean and oil a new purchase, then take it to the range to see how well it performs. Some of my most expensive purchases were in worse shape than your Dagger IMO, but in time I got most of them to shoot okay. It seems like Glock owns your heart and soul.

    personally, I feel like you need to take this to the range and shoot it. If it shoots with no malfunctions, and its accurate, then I'd forget about the petty oil and dirt issues. Some companies put a magazine through each gun for QC testing. I don't know, but if it works keep it. If not, send it back. I understand PSA's customer service is pretty good and I feel their response was appropriate.

    Maybe your FFL tried it to see what it shot like?

  • @WVGunsNGoats
    @WVGunsNGoats Год назад +2

    Sooo, how did it work when you actually shot it?
    1. Ive heard that spring noise with multiple guns, you shouldnt be worried about “Sneaking up” on someone as your gun should be loaded anyway.
    2. You say the gun was dry, but then basically say you hate when a gun comes in full of oil. A lot of times the gun oils or grease that come in the firearm are just preservatives to prevent rust and have terrible lubrication properties.
    Infact Glock says in the manual to clean and lubricate your firearm before using it the first time.
    As far as the test firing, sometimes some guns get fired more or less than others, perhaps the frame they had the slide on originally had a malfunction and they had to put that slide on another frame and test fire it a couple times, perhaps they use the cheapest ammo they can get for test firing because they do a lot of it and thats leading to the bore condition.

      @@jeffofalltrades8489 hey, no problem, just pointing out some things i saw, which most of them seemed fairly minor and even common on mass produced guns. I would actually shoot the gun and see how it works for you, and if you have actual malfunctions then i could see not wanting to recommend it, now i agree we are talking about a 300.00 gun, and not a 4000.00 custom built racegun :)

    I got it for $270 with taxes and shipping, and after seeing your vid I'm not regretting it. I feel like after lubricating/cleaning it you'll be able to run thousands of rounds through it. I see it more of a toy(because of the mods) than a real gun that I would carry to defend my life, that's what a G19, G43/48 is for. Although for someone who's really broke it will probably work good enough. You have to test it ASAP and post another vid.

      @jeffofalltrades8489  Год назад

      I couldn't agree more! Thank you for this comment. As I said, if you can afford a gun, you should buy one.
      The main reason I posted this was to show my first impressions on it. I have a few people I know personally that didn't have any of these issues. Their gun came completely oiled and well taken care of. I don't think I do anyone justice if I don't speak my mind and say that everything is perfect. It isn't, and I wanted to share. I pissed a lot of people off lol but I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to post honest reviews and hopefully helpful content.
      I am recording a "part two" that will be up shortly. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint! !

    Put 500 dry fires and 250 rounds and see how it appears to you. I snapcapped mine to help break in the Gen3 trigger (all the Gen3 Glocks felt that way back in the day) and have now put thousands of rounds through it. There is a significant difference between used and how it appeared NIB. And yes, mine arrived similar to yours. As a comparison, I paid premium for a SIG p220 that had tool marks on the slide face.

    I know the feeling. I ordered a "new" 43x from GB and thought it was a return from another customer because the breechface seemed more worn than a few rounds shot by Glock to test functionality, and it was jamming by having fteject. So, i highly suspected a returned gun was sold as new to me. But, i kept it and everually the fteject went away, and now uts one of my favorite pistols.

    Hi Jeff after watching you video about the PSA Dagger you may want to talk to Chad IV8888. I don't have a Dagger. But a few weeks back I purchased an Anderson Manufacturing Kiger 9C Pro slide ($260) with an RMR cut. I later purchased the Kiger 9C Pro receiver ($119). This is very well-made pistol. I have put a Holosun HE507K GR sight with the DPP Titanium adapter plate on the slide. I am surprised at the way you were treated by PSA. As a military / LEO customer at Anderson I was able to get the prices I quoted. BTW - "We the People" holsters makes an excellent IWB holster for the Kiger.

    I’m with the others here. Had great success with my daggers. They all look basically like what you are showing but they shoot with zero issues. 4 daggers in. The whole “sneaking” up on someone. Maybe it’s a good idea to have your weapon hot before trying to be tactical? Racking the slide to chamber a round as you are on maneuver is going to be a problem regardless of the weapon choice. Feels really picky imho but everyone has their expectations. $250 gets an excellent piece of gear and one you can absolutely depend on as far as my experience goes.

    I always spend the extra and get name brand quality stuff. Not because they are a great value, you may even get more with less money, but with the big names and perceived quality products, you always have most of your money in the firearm and you can get it back one day if you ever needed to AND they generally are reliable. Also high end sought after brands tend to increase a bit in value over time, so you lose less and have a functional piece

I have 4 daggers and will continue to build more of them. I thought I was picky... Gen 1-3 all got that squeeky ( more noticeable with a stainless guide rod) and I am not sure what the issue is with just oiling it. If you paid 500 + for this then I would be pissed too. I doubt that is the case though. In my ecperience PSA customer service has been excellent. They have addressed my concerns and provided me prepaid labels just to take look at them in person. Sorry you had a bad experience. I realize it puts a bad taste in your mouth. Every gun requires cleaning, lubricant, and general maintenance. I don’t own a Dagger, so I am not saying this to justify buying one. However, I know PSA is not marketing the gun as a Salient Arms pistol, so I really don’t understand what your problem is with this gun. Everything I have seen indicates it works as intended. Guns are made to be used . There is going to be wear. You are going to have to maintain it. Shoot the damn thing. If it blows up in your hand, doesn’t cycle, or shoots 10 MOA at 25 yards, then make a video to show us your issue, but don’t punk us with this nonsense. I think PSA responding to your ridiculous complaint was in itself good customer service. I think they had a very measured response to something that quite honestly defies any level of reasonable.
