    Still find it confusing! Working on using Tony robbins TOYL / RPM syst, which curr' does not have a Computer prog behind it, and is based more on psyc! I also though your tiangle should be the other way around - Notes -> Tasks -> calender !! Thank you for all you do :) James

    Since both seem similar to me. in what aspects your method differs from the Thiago Fortes PARA (projects. areas, reference and archives) method?

    Being a trained archivist, I love hearing the principle of provenance being discussed in this context! Thanks!

      Thank you Daniel. My research in how archivists organise things was fascinating and made perfect sense.

    😂I think I have finally figured out how to do this? I now rely on tagging, and when necessary create a smart folder. I almost give up using regular folder structures

      Hence, the rise of Bear Notes app. Took me awhile to get used to it, but now, no problemo.

    should have given Forte his dues and said well, I'll add a G

    It sounds like PARA by Tiago Forte. PARA = projects, areas, resources, archives.

      the man added a G, and switched them up a bit and felt he's entitled to dismiss Forte from his credit

    "judgment clouded by wonder RUclips videos"..........interesting comment. Was that a self incrimination?

    Another way to look at provenance for notes is source. What is the source of your notes? Where did it come from? Which book, video, or person? For example, you may be taking notes as you read a book so that book is the source or the provenance. That will allow you to later go back to the source to clarify an idea, doublecheck that you understood it correctly, look at the context, see if there are related ideas that will inspire you, find a good quote, and give credit where credit is due.

    what happens if a project is in an area? Let's say the area is Finance, and the project is collections.

    • @Carl_Pullein
      @Carl_Pullein  5 месяцев назад

      Most of your projects will come from your areas. If/when that happens, all you need to do is create the project in your projects folder (it's a project, after all).

    what is the good way to manage business cards in notes? At the moment, I scan the business card with my own comments on the place/business related to this business card and then I place a tag, firstly by defining the tag as a business card, then other tags that define the categories, such as insurance, car sales, plumbers etc. Each business card in a separate note. Is there another way that is more efficient?

      Hi Antonio, It sounds like the way you're doing it is great. It's way more organised than I was. It will always come down to how much information you want to keep.

    • @antoniochang4553

      @@Carl_Pullein would it be better to have over 200 scanned business cards in 1 note (OSX) or 200 business cards in 200 notes?

    • @Carl_Pullein
      @Carl_Pullein  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@antoniochang4553 I would go with individual notes. That way they will be searchable faster.
