    Spray it with a mild oven cleaner. Let ut sit for 5 mins then scrub the carb with a p
    Brush then dunk it in some water with a little baking soda. Blow it out with compressed air and itl look like new.

    l was using my 5T digger to clear 300 ft driveway, but digger was sold last week, so a plow on my Big Bear is a must.

    You never showed how to adjust carburetor and where the adjustment screws are.

      The adjustment screw is usually at the bottom of the carb near the bowl. If you count the amount of turns when you remove the screw and just put it back in the same spot it shouldn't need any or very little adjusting.

      @@HitchinMitch There is no air/fuel adjustment on these carburettors..Only adjustment on the idle control.

      A picture of this would be good and tweaking the idle control as well.

    Wow, beautiful work, my 94 Bear idles high. Did you find what makes its idle high? Plow is a much for our area, as wet snow is hard to puch.

    Hi
    How many revs (turs) there was on your air-fuel mixture screw? Or how many revs do you applied?

    Sounds like what mine is doing. When mine is cold it's not that bad but once it's the Grizzlies warm I will sit there in neutral and it will idle high. But if I sit there in forward or reverse it won't. Now is this what yours was doing?

    • @HitchinMitch
      @HitchinMitch  4 года назад +1

      Mine would constantly be idleing high, but when in gear it would put load on the engine which will bring the idle down a bit.

    Im new to Atv and earlier today my big bear would shut down in neutral or 1st just sitting idle after a few minutes, i could hear the rpm get slower and choppier. So I adjusted the Idle nut counter clockwise or up and it helped. My question is why did that suddenly start happening and it is something with the carb or other issues? thanks for videos

      I would say this with the carb. Overtime they will get some built of dirt or grime. So it would probably be a good time to clean it up as preventive maintenance. It might look clean but the smallest amount of dirt can effect a carb. 👍

      @@HitchinMitch Will buying a replacement new unit be faster overall? like the ones on ebay, would they have all the parts i needed or is there some small parts inside the old one that I would need to put in the new build.

    • @HitchinMitch
      @HitchinMitch  4 года назад +1

      I haven't bought one (yet) but I do believe they come with everything you need and just have to install it. You might have to adjust the idle screw but otherwise good to go.

      found a repair kit too, with the little pyramid shaped object that controls fuel injection

      @@HitchinMitch can you explain what you were doing inserting the throttle cable, it looks like you spent some time inside adjusting before placing the cover on.

    I wouldn't recommend any of the cheap aftermarket carbs on eBay. if it costs less than 100 dollars and is from china i would stay away. i suggest either a stock carb from Yamaha or get a genuine Mikuni carb from Japan or Thailand.
