Wrote a story inspired by what I saw listening to this song:
"0:03 With the lights turned off in her room, she sits on her bed. Her ears submerged in a good song she's heard for the 34th time today. It's never going to be enough times.
0:17 As she lays her body back, she breaks the surface of the water and falls deep. Her vision is blurry the way a bottomless beer mug is clear, but she can make out the lack of a floor below her; just a blue that keeps getting darker but never quite hits black. She curiously swims and swims downwards until she eventually tires, using her last vestiges of effort to hit the surface. When her head pokes out, the world disappears except for the ceramic ground she sees below her feet.
0:38 A fierce, cold, white light illuminates above her to reveal a tight net of cotton webs is draped over her head, running endless miles into the darkness. She briefly extends her voice out in disillusionment, before the netting sticks to her tongue. Candy. Tethered to her sugary sweet curtain, she exhales sharply and takes off north, expecting a wall.
1:02 Instead, she receives the crunch of twigs and percussion of dirt under her heels. The netting is gone but, as always, her vision is her only fledgling ally. A few whimsical swipes in the eternal shade of navy reveal the familiar rustle of shrubs and bushes. She giggles but lets out an exasperated shriek as she's pricked by a thorn. This wakes the ire of the moon, rising behind her hair to greet her as she turns. Sure enough, she meets its hollow face with a slow, apprehensive gaze. It confirms its grandeur, looming close and approaching with a bouncy float. Compelled only be her need to survive, she takes off sprinting, but the moon shows no signs of slowing. Curving and swerving wherever possible, she can't the ever expanding moon. Just inside of a minute, it's grown from the size her head to Pluto's superior elder sibling.
1:29 Casting a glance backwards undoes her, tripping on what felt like the first fallen branch in the world, and crashing in the damp dirt. As she looks back one more time, the moon devoured her whole in its brightness.
1:39 She doesn't wake as much as she stirs sharply, sitting up quickly and greeted by the moon's evolving face. The beige orb warmed in tone and grew craters, which themselves swirled into the frosted glass pattern of stage light. What was once dirt that stained her arms and legs had become spackles of paint the same shade of black as the hardwood she laid on. She noticed a laceration as long as her pinky leaking blood down her right ankle. The blood was an autonomous current, flowing across the floor, trickling out of view. As she feverishly crawled to see where it went, she realized the floor she was hanging from the edge of was a stage, and returned her focus to the blood that had coagulated with the plush cushions of empty audience seats. What was she to say? What was she to do? Who was being entertained? That question began to answer itself with a hefty slam of the room door reverberating from atop a staircase in the northwest corner.
2:14 She chased after what she thought was a person, what was behind that door were shelves upon shelves upon shelves of books. The quivering pierce of her voice rung out for some seconds, but words ultimately eluded her. Confused but needing to stay the course, she walked but would pause intermittently, attempting to nurse her injury with her eyes. The would didn’t heal as much as it faded off of her skin before long. From out of a dim array of pollen yellow lights, a beige spotlight emerged and guided her focus to an olive book adorned in gold trim. It was unnamed, but the spotlight wiggled itself upon it for some time as to alert her of its importance. Sure enough, her curiosity took her hand to that book. She took a deep breath before opening its weathered pages. Most of the book was blank as the day it was made; all except for one page, adorned with a screenshot of a VHS tape of her childhood self. Dated October 18th, 2032, her head poked out from a black curtain with a smile so big and toothy, it nearly ascends into a laugh. Two massive whooshes hit as two similarly black curtains block off the exit ahead and the entrance behind her.
3:14 Galvanized by that photo, she shuts the book softly and presses it tightly just under her collarbones. With a deep exhale that soon contours into bleating, she bounds through the curtain....and the defeaning silence returns.
    3:26 The song ended."

Very nice! Every part from vocals to accompaniment blends so well in this thick haze of bliss. Polytonality, no sense of tonic, good stuff! I'm planning doing a flightseeing trip over the glaciers in the Yukon late summer and this tune would be ideal to accompany the 4K video scenery I hope to capture.
