    The boys on the burning balcony learned a valuable lesson about being too aggressive without a working hose line. They didn't back down though. Big balls.

    Our volunteer fire department can handle that easy. We have 3 010 crash. Trucks. And a 1975 crown coach.

    Here is a radical concept, less fire-fighters more water, iv'e attended remote festivals in the desert which had more water than these trucks...used to supress the dust from the dry dirt...

      You won't see a lot of water from the outside on this fire as they are making n interior attack for as long as they can. When conditions worsen, and the safety of fire fighters inside is compromised, then you will see master streams from tower ladders and deck guns, as well as handlines.

      The “Trucks” in the FDNY do not carry water nor are they capable of pumping it.

    The FDNY is one of the best at taking a smokey and smoldering fire and turning it into an inferno. Do you see one drop of water anywhere before it ignited?

    • @azul8811
      @azul8811 6 месяцев назад

      From this video are you able to determine:
      1. The conditions found upon arrival, namely, the location, the volume of fire and where it was extending?
      2. How many charged lines were operating and where were they positioned?

    America really needs to look towards Europe for firefighting techniques. Patting each other on the back and saying they were up there doing it.

      American Firefighters have no interest in fighting fires with garden hoses or using techniques from the 1940's

    • @azul8811
      @azul8811 5 месяцев назад

      Why not post links to You Tube videos of European firefighting techniques that you feel are worth emulating particularly as it impacts on civilian occupant life safety?
      I suppose that would more likely involve buildings that one might reasonably expect to be occupied. Therefore, I'd be interesting in seeing situations where the firefighters enter the building in order to initiate a search for victims _before_ the fire has been brought under control. In other words, the search operation and and fire extinguishment would take place simultaneously, thus necessitating interior operations.
      I'd also be interested in seeing videos of actual rescues being performed. By "rescue," I am not referring to positioning a ladder to a window where an occupant was fortunate enough to get to on their own accord. I'm thinking more of a situation where a firefighter has to place himself at unusual risk in order to save the person from physical harm. For example, a firefighter going to the floor above the fire that is actively involved in fire in order to remove someone at risk.
      I've seen a number of videos where the FDNY has rappelled down the side of a building to remove someone at a smoke filled widow ledge. Could you possibly show us such a situation anywhere in Europe?
