I love the Madagascar trilogy and the spinoffs. The Penguins getting their own movie was a good idea, at least they aren't annoying like most sidekick characters.
Something that always bugged me about this movie that I'm surprised wasn't mentioned in the video. What do the lions eat? That was a major plot point in the first one, but here they just gloss over them living alongside all the herbivores.

But in this movie it's not explained what the lions eat and Zuba even says "This watering hole already has enough mouths to feed", and I doubt he was JUST referring to all the lions, clearly he meant all the herbivores too.

The Penguins were the best part of that entire franchise, and I even named some of my pets after them... But sure, just goofy sidekicks. Not like they were *_the only characters_* keeping the movie from turning into a 2 hour marathon of hippo butts and lions with hair gel.
Never saw the movie, But I had a nice little giggle fit at "So me and the other lions were talking, and we were wondering when you were gonna banish your son" This is the kind of comedy that comes from these situations, not the butts
I always enjoyed the third one more but I still think the second one was fucking hilarious, fun and better than the first, Alec Baldwin wasnt the best villain but overall the movie has some creative moments and was a fun idea the location of Africa, and the whole scenes with the old lady, Moto moto and the monkeys & penguins interactions were absolutely hysterical😂😂

I like that Madagascar was made to try and copy what Disney was planning to do with “The Wild”, so they made a rushed and cheap original movie in Madagascar 1, which had a terrible and shambled together story and character design, but then Madagascar did great, and The Wild bombed, and Dreamworks was like “Damn, I guess we’re sticking with this lol”

The rope WAS put past the fence, but only a believable distance. BUUUUUUUT, the sin is instead "How did these Poachers know they'd catch a lion anywhere CLOSE to that fence?"
Also don't these parks have guards or something specifically to look out for poachers? So how would they even get the rope in there without getting caught?
@@tanandalynch9441 Most wildlife reserves in Africa are thousands of acres - tens to hundreds of thousands, even. They can't keep their eyes on every part of them. Sneakier poachers do end up getting through all the time, unfortunately.
If there's one thing that I take away from this Cinema sins video is that Jeremy had to spend time researching what hippo belly buttons look like - I am suitably impressed
Saw this in theaters with my family. When Nana starts beating up Makunga a group of girls(youngest about 14) behind us yelled "whooped that a** Grandma!!!" Then during the "Move It" Song they got up dancing and being loud. I hastily left the theater, running past me was one of the girls to an employee, my brother informed me that while dancing one of the girls slipped, fell down the stairs and possibly broke their ankle/leg/foot.
As much as I loved the first Madagascar, I was absolutely looking forward to this film and have apparently watched it more than the first film because it was taking place in Africa and how colourful it was going to be.
A lot of this movie's plot could have been reduced or not event an issue if communication had occurred prior. Also I actually liked the return of the old lady.
I think this was my favourite one because my kid loved it. That first month of the pandemic and the hard lockdown, we watched it everyday at my four year old's behest. I really have a soft spot for it because of that ♥️
I also think that Mort on the side of the plane was a callback to The Simpsons gremlin on the side of the bus Halloween episode. They could’ve done an outtake with that

The fact the Marty’s friends were flipping out over being sent back to Africa and to the wild because, they were so use being in captivity. Honestly, this movie franchise could be used as google commentary on how zoos effect animals.
Finding Dory was glorious and it's a mortal sin to speak ill of it! Also, Finding Dory acts like more of a prequel to Finding Nemo than its own spin off. It ties both movies together perfectly making them more like one coherent story.

The fact the Marty’s friends were flipping out over being sent back to Africa and to the wild because, they were so use being in captivity. Honestly, this movie franchise could be used as google commentary on how zoos effect animals.
Finding Dory was glorious and it's a mortal sin to speak ill of it! Also, Finding Dory acts like more of a prequel to Finding Nemo than its own spin off. It ties both movies together perfectly making them more like one coherent story.
The joke from Chicken Run was a homage to a previous DreamWorks film.

If you came to a Madagascar for plot you came to the wrong movie. XD it’s just visual gags, slapstick, fart jokes and what have you. And for how many unfunny movies that do this, I think the Madagascar Trilogy actually did quite the good job. The 3rd was my favorite. And I just think they improved every movie. But that’s just me.
