Read a little on the unite subreddit and realized I was doing a lot of small things wrong....haha. 😅 Seeing experienced moba players explain this game for newcomers is great. I've been focusing Snorlax, but Gengar is my favorite pokemon on the roster and seeing his gameplay at high level is really helping me decide if I want to pick him up or go for an all rounder instead as a f2p player. I'm curious if you have any speculation on if they'll add in more pokemon as the game's life progresses, do characters regularly get added at the beginning of a moba's life span? Or do you predict their focus to be more cosmetic...this game is very heavy on monetization, just glad pokemon aren't locked in the battlepass yet lol.
They added Gardevior to the game after just one week. Blissy and Blastoise are likely to be added within the next month or two. I’d say you can expect to see at least one or two new Pokémon added to the game every month at least for the first few months of the game.
Games are fun when both teams are smart and make good decisions. It's mostly just moba experience in general that are lacking in some. Lots of these play by plays can really be applied to any moba generally.
sludge bomb hex or shadow ball dream eater. i have been usin shadow ball lately but im not sure whether to switch back to sludge bomb hex. great gameplay too.
For the jungle position I think you really need sludge bomb hex for the higher sustained damage ceiling. For lane Gengar I think shadow ball dream eater is insane burst damage + cc so I like running it.
Also game needs better way track people's grade. Seems you get a high grade for scoring low if you don't even if you made all the plays for your team lol
Lots of depth but need more options for vgs. Also game needs a way to monitor jungle. Maybe camps that give you a ward would be nice and before Zapdos maybe have a 25 point pokemon be there and XP boost to team. Game needs to encourage fights in Jung before zapados and not just be lane fights all game and Jung only used as fights for zapados
The meta shouldn progress in a direction where the winning team looks to take farm from the enemy jungle leading to more fights in the jungle. It’s still rare to see this even in 5 stack vs 5 stack and it’s hard for me to say if a ward camp would be necessary until after I see these jungle fights more often. As it is now you have to use your body as a ward, and so far I’m okay with that. A ward camp is a really interesting idea and I’m sure it’s something they considered.
hey man, did you know, if you attack twice in spawn and have your boosted attack, you could flash over the wall to the lillipup for free, saves some time from walking around.
I think I mentioned my build at the start of the video. Right now I like running wise glasses and shell bell for damage with buddy barrier. The meta might shift to include score shield instead of shell bell for consistent scoring, but I’m still testing it out. The item meta seems to change a lot, every week there’s a new build.

I'm playing on expert and it really doesn't feel like "expert"... I'm not maining any pokemon because i'm actualy fine with playing all that are needed in a teamcomb. Now what bothers me is that literaly noone looks for rotom, drednaw or zapdos. When they do they start which is a huge mistake in my opinnion, you lose a lot of life while starting when the enemy team is coming to fight you... I heared of bots in every rank that actualy don't care about the wild mons on the map, maybe i'm just unlucky. Also i feel like people like spamming report buttons. As for me when i play defender toplane and drednaw comes up, i try to defend top instead of roaming bot, i don't mind if my teammate does but they don't, just stupid. If they do rotate bot they never come back, i'm all alone top defending till the point that i become useless because i can't farm for a while, that's why i added the exp-item for the next games... At the end even tho i was defending very good i get reported again, becausr i wasn't able to cash in more points. But nobody actualy noticed that i was actualy defending very good... So yeah, the report button is actualy something that some people like to abuse...
Don't bother making a good team comp in expert rank just play your best pokemon (hopefully a damage dealer) and punish as many enemy mistakes as possible. When drednaw spawns I think it's totally fine to leave your top lane completely undefended. I know it's unintuitive but it's actually a really smart play. And because of how perfect it works, that's why it seems they're leaving me alone for a very long time! Because in some situations, when enemies jungler appears i'm K.O. and losing top. I also saw some of my players picking their pokemon immediately after other people were scrolling through their pokemon choosing them, which kinda is a hint of a bot playing and they never do the big wild mons which perfectly fits into my situation... VERY VERY FRUSTRATING... Also: Yeah i got you, i just wanted to say that i'm very good at all pokemon, doesn't matter if supp, defender or whatever. So ig imma just play my best dds next time. Just that it kinda bothers me seeing only squishies with no defender, no support and sometimes not even alrounders.
I I play Garchomp, so expert FUCKING HURTS to play through. I wish there was a report for players actively fucking with the jungler. So far, I have the following I get to deal with: 1Instalock talon flames who will try to take your jungle, regardless of you roll called several times or just steal your shit even as a laner 2 people taking corfish from the jungle, literally preventing the jungler from evolving 3 failing to coordinate around you, more or less getting you killed if you try to gank (good thing I play Garchomp, at this point I’ve given up on trying dragon rush early game as noone uses the displacement it gives) 4 failing to understand calls and not understanding you can’t always be there (a general moba issue, but still present regardless) 5 teammates taking ludicolo for some reason (???) like NIGGA YOU DONT NEED THAT (I understand if someone takes buffolaunt, but there’s no reason to take ludicolo; that just fucks over the jungler) Hopefully when I hit later ranks it won’t be an issue anymore? Expert is hell though and at this point I’ve given up trying to go jungle. I especially hate speedster mains down here, usually tells me that they’re either gonna get lucky at first and die in a stupid way or just be the worst member of the team outright. I understand that Garchomp is a liability for the first 4 minutes (and it makes sense to dislike having one), but speedster mains are literally the exact same things AND THE PLAYERS ARE USUALLY ASSHOLES.

What held items do you use for jungle gengar
I recommend shell bell, wise glasses, muscle band. I like score shield instead of shell bell if I’m playing shadow ball dream eater though.
