When he had a great job in DC we would split everything. It was when he quit his job to become my "manager" that I took over everything. That didn't work out at all having him try to run my RUclips channel so eventually after like 3 years of that he decided to get a job but it was low pay as he had to start from the bottom again. I continued to support us until he could move up, I knew it would take a few years but was happy he was getting a job instead of playing video games all day. That's where he met her and rather than helping me with any bills he would give all his money to support her.

I commend you Kayleigh for being so honest. And I think the part of this video where you talk about breaking up with your boyfriend should be showed to girls in schools in Grade 9-12. As a teacher I have met so many young women who think that what they see in blogs is the "truth", and who believe that all the "perfection" they see in influencers' videos is what they should have and is possible. When these young women leave school and end up living with a partner they pay the bills but don't insist on their names being on the title, and starve themselves and exercise to please partners without getting any respect in return - these women need to hear your story, and the sooner the better. Not because you are a victim, but because you have wisdom gained from life experience that will benefit them in the REAL world.

Best thing to do with those personality types is cut off ALL contact. Go completely silent. Guarantee he’s still watching your videos. No one deserves that kind of treatment. Sometimes we don’t know what situation we are in until we are able to step away enough to take the filtered glasses off. Shows how strong you are to dig yourself out of that situation. I remember watching some your tutorials here and there around 2014-2017 and I always wondered WHY you weren’t as YT successful as Carly bybel, Nicole Guerrero or the other makeup influencers. Because honestly, your content was great quality and taught me a lot of tips and tricks when I was in high school. Yes! I had multiple companies approach me that many of those girls were also with at the time (like Ipsy for example, they wanted me to move to cali and join them) any of those companies could have definitely propelled my career if I had accepted. It’s all in the past though, no hard feelings. I enjoy what I do here on Yt regardless!

Life is for sure a box of chocolates. I’ve never been mistreated by a man or should I say relationship wise. I’m very grateful for my relationship. I was actually very mistreated by the both of my parents who had a terrible marriage before and during my existence. Their relationship and their toxic personalities have hurt me so much. I am now 26 and finally understand now that I am not the one to blame this whole time. I am finally free for the first time in my life and I am literally enjoying life. OMG Kayleigh. I remember that when you started vlogging in your two story house, I was so excited because I loved your main channel. You guys adopted Minnie, and I just thought you were like a cute little family. And then when you moved to the house in Maryland is when I started to notice changes and weird little things. That's when you were vlogging on a daily basis. I guess it magnified the cracks in your relationship. As the years went on, it seemed to get worse. I could tell you weren't yourself. Others could too. You were, like, isolated. That's when the comments started to take a bit of a turn. Some of us knew something was off, but I would have never imagined that it was this bad. I'm so glad you got out and had the strength to completely cut things off! Most of all, you got back to a place where value yourself again. And you've turned it into something beautiful! When you said never put money into something you don’t own that is truly the best sisterly advice I give to all my younger girlfriends & will impart on my daughters. Never ever purchase a home with a man who doesn’t want you on the deed/title & never move into a home a man owns & help pay the mortgage. Yes it could work out but often it doesn’t & you’re left with nothing for your investment.
I've watched your main and vlog channels silently for what seems like forever (since your Victoria Justice makeup tutorial), but I didn't know why you left until this video. Honestly, I couldn't help but mutter an undignified slur when you explained what happened, but I'm glad you're not in that situation anymore. I just hope you know certain things you have said such as: "Making changes when you think they need to be made." "There's so much of my life that I haven't lived yet." Or the one that never stops playing in my head " It is never too late to make the right decisions for yourself, and to do what is best for you." Though they're just words, they truly bring comfort to the parts of me that are in most need of support. I’m in tears 🥺 your story is sadly so similar to mine but in my case he actually left me with our son of a year for her and her daughter. He asked me to move out on Mothers Day. He gives her daughter more than he gives for our son. He won’t even buy diapers 🙄 It’s about to be a year since the breakup and they are excepting a daughter. If he would’ve not broken it off with me I would’ve never left. Oh and to say the least he broke up with me thru text while I was at work. Your story gives me hope that even though I did give him 10 years of my life I will be okay. That I will someday find my one true love ❤️

As crazy as it sounds I’ve learned that even though long term relationships end it all happens for the better. I went through a similar situation as you and lost myself completely for a fool who never appreciated me and took advantage of the love that I had for him. It came to a point where enough was enough and left him. After sometime, I finally met the love of my life and I got accepted into Nursing for this fall! Yes - I told his Dad everything about a week after I left. I felt he deserved to know because he is a father figure to me. It was only right to tell him what truly happened. At first he was so confused why I left in such a hurry and without saying a proper goodbye. He completely understood everything and all my decisions after talking to me, said he would have done the same thing.

His family seemed SO awesome though, and his mom passing was so sad to me..I loved the relationship you had with her! Aw thank you I miss the little dates me and his mom would go on. She was such a beautiful person inside and out. When she passed, I got very close with his dad and I can say the same things about him. They’re the most beautiful good hearted people. So sad to have such a monster of a son but you can’t control those things. People become who they want to be. Can’t stop it. They’ve always known something was different about him, especially when he wouldn’t propose and years kept going by, but after hearing the full story of what happened his dad didn’t doubt one thing, he knew it was all true. I was closer to his family than my ex ever was. I was the one making us go over all the time, he neverrrr wanted to go. Would have rather worked on “more important things” like his cars, anything that had to do with him never anyone else. He didn’t see the importance of showing love and appreciation to your own family. So because of that, his dad believed me instantly when I told the story. He knows I’d never lie to him. Love that man and always will.

I fled from my ex husband after a fight. I had about a 30 minute window and I will never forget that feeling, car packed up and not looking back. It’s like a weight is literally lifted but you also are numb to everything. They want you back cause they’ve realized what they’ve done but you’re just DONE cause you know what you need. No one can take it away from you when you are wholly looking out for yourself.

When he had a great job in DC we would split everything. It was when he quit his job to become my "manager" that I took over everything. That didn't work out at all having him try to run my RUclips channel so eventually after like 3 years of that he decided to get a job but it was low pay as he had to start from the bottom again. I continued to support us until he could move up, I knew it would take a few years but was happy he was getting a job instead of playing video games all day. That's where he met her and rather than helping me with any bills he would give all his money to support her.

I commend you Kayleigh for being so honest. And I think the part of this video where you talk about breaking up with your boyfriend should be showed to girls in schools in Grade 9-12. As a teacher I have met so many young women who think that what they see in blogs is the "truth", and who believe that all the "perfection" they see in influencers' videos is what they should have and is possible. When these young women leave school and end up living with a partner they pay the bills but don't insist on their names being on the title, and starve themselves and exercise to please partners without getting any respect in return - these women need to hear your story, and the sooner the better. Not because you are a victim, but because you have wisdom gained from life experience that will benefit them in the REAL world.

I had multiple companies approach me that many of those girls were also with at the time (like Ipsy for example, they wanted me to move to cali and join them) any of those companies could have definitely propelled my career if I had accepted. Life is for sure a box of chocolates. I’ve never been mistreated by a man or should I say relationship wise. I’m very grateful for my relationship. I was actually very mistreated by the both of my parents who had a terrible marriage before and during my existence. Their relationship and their toxic personalities have hurt me so much. I am now 26 and finally understand now that I am not the one to blame this whole time. I am finally free for the first time in my life and I am literally enjoying life. Looks are definitely deceiving. I never thought the entire time I’ve been watching you and Matt that you’ve been going through it. OMG Kayleigh. I remember that when you started vlogging in your two story house, I was so excited because I loved your main channel. You guys adopted Minnie, and I just thought you were like a cute little family. And then when you moved to the house in Maryland is when I started to notice changes and weird little things. That's when you were vlogging on a daily basis. I guess it magnified the cracks in your relationship. As the years went on, it seemed to get worse. I could tell you weren't yourself. Others could too. You were, like, isolated. That's when the comments started to take a bit of a turn. Some of us knew something was off, but I would have never imagined that it was this bad. I'm so glad you got out and had the strength to completely cut things off! Most of all, you got back to a place where value yourself again. And you've turned it into something beautiful! When you said never put money into something you don’t own that is truly the best sisterly advice I give to all my younger girlfriends & will impart on my daughters. Never ever purchase a home with a man who doesn’t want you on the deed/title & never move into a home a man owns & help pay the mortgage. Yes it could work out but often it doesn’t & you’re left with nothing for your investment.
I've watched your main and vlog channels silently for what seems like forever (since your Victoria Justice makeup tutorial), but I didn't know why you left until this video. Honestly, I couldn't help but mutter an undignified slur when you explained what happened, but I'm glad you're not in that situation anymore.
I just hope you know certain things you have said such as:
"Making changes when you think they need to be made."
"There's so much of my life that I haven't lived yet."
Or the one that never stops playing in my head " It is never too late to make the right decisions for yourself, and to do what is best for you."
Though they're just words, they truly bring comfort to the parts of me that are in most need of support. I don't know how else to put it, but you truly are deserving of whatever happiness God has in store for you.

I’m in tears 🥺 your story is sadly so similar to mine but in my case he actually left me with our son of a year for her and her daughter. He asked me to move out on Mothers Day. He gives her daughter more than he gives for our son. He won’t even buy diapers 🙄 It’s about to be a year since the breakup and they are excepting a daughter. If he would’ve not broken it off with me I would’ve never left. Oh and to say the least he broke up with me thru text while I was at work. Your story gives me hope that even though I did give him 10 years of my life I will be okay. That I will someday find my one true love ❤️

As crazy as it sounds I’ve learned that even though long term relationships end it all happens for the better. I went through a similar situation as you and lost myself completely for a fool who never appreciated me and took advantage of the love that I had for him. It came to a point where enough was enough and left him. After sometime, I finally met the love of my life and I got accepted into Nursing for this fall! It’s so nice to see you happy as ever and w so much success as well ♥️

Yes - I told his Dad everything about a week after I left. I felt he deserved to know because he is a father figure to me. It was only right to tell him what truly happened. At first he was so confused why I left in such a hurry and without saying a proper goodbye. He completely understood everything and all my decisions after talking to me, said he would have done the same thing.

Aw thank you I miss the little dates me and his mom would go on. She was such a beautiful person inside and out. When she passed, I got very close with his dad and I can say the same things about him. They’re the most beautiful good hearted people. So sad to have such a monster of a son but you can’t control those things. People become who they want to be. Can’t stop it. They’ve always known something was different about him, especially when he wouldn’t propose and years kept going by, but after hearing the full story of what happened his dad didn’t doubt one thing, he knew it was all true. I was closer to his family than my ex ever was. I was the one making us go over all the time, he neverrrr wanted to go. Would have rather worked on “more important things” like his cars, anything that had to do with him never anyone else. He didn’t see the importance of showing love and appreciation to your own family. So because of that, his dad believed me instantly when I told the story. He knows I’d never lie to him. Love that man and always will.

I fled from my ex husband after a fight. I had about a 30 minute window and I will never forget that feeling, car packed up and not looking back. It’s like a weight is literally lifted but you also are numb to everything. They want you back cause they’ve realized what they’ve done but you’re just DONE cause you know what you need.
