I’m going to be 34 this year, no kids or in a relationship. I’ve been working on my education for the career I have finally decided on. Before I was so focused on having a family by 25, 30 years old but it wasn’t happening by my own timeframe. It caused me to rush into bad relationships just to have a family. I decided to focus on myself and eventually having a family will come along. I’m excited for your present and future life! I think everyone needs to have a talk with themselves and another person to dive into what you really need and want. You pinpointed many things in the video, thank you for bringing those to light. ❤️
I went through this myself recently. It was only 2 years opposed to 12. But people on the outside would warn me he wasn’t good for me and I knew they were right. You literally just have to be done. You just have to get to a point where you have no emotions at all about this person and realize anywhere is better than here and he’s basically dead to you emotionally. The hard part is, the longer you’re with someone, the longer the grieving process is afterwards. Just take your time girl. A lot of us, including myself, followed your vlogs for you. And we’re here for you!

I also am empath, so I know exactly what you mean about needing the other person to be okay. I think that was a coping mechanism i learned from being in an a controlling and isolating relationship in the past (like you said all relationships are different so I'm not implying that he was controlling or anything) anyway now I'm married to my husband who is my number 1 fan and ENCOURAGES me to explore myself in all things I want to learn and do. You're still really young and have your whole life ahead of you and you do look happier now! It will take a while to move past a break-up. I was married for almost 9 years and I had no idea what I would do once I became a single woman! I was very codependent on the other person, pretty much the same as you. Plus I lived with my parents until I got married so I really didn't live a life! I've been single since 2014 and I'm still enjoying it. I've gone on a few dates, but not really interested in a relationship just yet even though I'm turning 41 next month! It's sad you don't have the kitties but I'm really glad you have Kota! If I was you, take her to dog parks and slowly introduce her to other dogs and eventually she won't be scared or shy with other dogs. She sill love it and it will be great for the both of you! I can only imagine how you feel. I was in a relathionship (abusive one, towards the end) for 5 years (a lot of him cheating on me and me not knowing 1st few years, him doing drugs, etc.) and I felt like I've lost all the time of the world (I was 22 when we started daiting), I am 27 now and I've learned something about myself: thanks to that relathionship that ruined 5 years of my life, I am totaly different person now. I’ve been watching you for years, since I was a teen / early 20s and now I’m 27, going on 28. I’ve watched you and Matt for so long. I’m sorry hun. I feel so behind in life going through a bad breakup last year. No kids of my own, never married. I’ve always wanted to have those things but it hasn’t happened for me yet. And I always compare myself to friends. I know what the feeling of being behind feels like and it’s awful. But focusing on yourself is amazing, self love is real and it makes us stronger. Keep your head up, you’re not alone.
I broke up with my spouse of 10yrs a month ago. We have two small children and I didn't want our relationship to be the example for them. I had spent the last year thinking about ending ending it. In September I finally express my feelings and emotions to him and felt the same loneliness and dismissal as I had for years. I tried counseling but in the end unless I was going to give everything to the relationship he wanted/needed he was not going to attempt to meet mine. he could never understand my feelings or emotions because they seemed so irrational to him but were part of my fundamentals. Because I was so rejected constantly I withdrew into self preservation till our relationship had no chance to come back from.
This has been the longest month of my life as I am having to go through lawyers and the courts while we still live together. This is my home and i refuse to leave and he won't let me have it because of it. I too felt such a weight lifted off. My shoulders the night I broke up with him. It's the first night I had slept in over a month. I can't wait for everything to be settled so I can take my life in a positive direction and like you get back to me so I can be the greatest mom to my too kids because they matter to most and deserve the best.

The way you are right now is a breath of fresh air, you seem so more confident even with stating that you have so much to do you still seem like you have made great accomplishments in such a short time. You keep doing what you feel is best but I think you should talk to someone regarding keeping the relationship ongoing with his family. The father is a widower and must come to terms with his wife's death, the boys are old enough to look after themselves & you do not need to be feeling an obligation, that's not your place it wasn't your place initially to do those things that you did. I think you took a lot of slack where he lacked and you filled in taking on a role as the mother figure again was wrong of him to put you in that position whether you did it willingly or not. I think it would be a good idea to talk to someone about this as it may not be a healthy or good choice to keep close contact with them on a regular basis. Although they are separate from him as you say are good, kind people they are still a part of the relationship that is no longer, he still keeps connected with you as well through them. Can't wait to see all the new videos, take care of yourself and be well.

I am 38.. single.. and just graduated with my masters degree. My life was turned upside down at 21 years old and it took many years to get myself back together physically (8 later surgeries on my back foot wrist and shoulder) and mentally/emotionally. One thing I've learned is we each have our own paths. Just because so many people follow societal standards of married with Children by 29 doesnt mean that that is your path. It means that when you do have a husband and children youll appreciate them more and because youre older and know what you dont want youll be a lot happier. Try not to compare because you are on YOUR own path. Be proud girl and enjoy your time and get those goals.

I’m going to be 34 this year, no kids or in a relationship. I’ve been working on my education for the career I have finally decided on. Before I was so focused on having a family by 25, 30 years old but it wasn’t happening by my own timeframe. It caused me to rush into bad relationships just to have a family. I decided to focus on myself and eventually having a family will come along. I’m excited for your present and future life! I think everyone needs to have a talk with themselves and another person to dive into what you really need and want. You pinpointed many things in the video, thank you for bringing those to light. ❤️
I went through this myself recently. It was only 2 years opposed to 12. But people on the outside would warn me he wasn’t good for me and I knew they were right. You literally just have to be done. You just have to get to a point where you have no emotions at all about this person and realize anywhere is better than here and he’s basically dead to you emotionally. The hard part is, the longer you’re with someone, the longer the grieving process is afterwards. Just take your time girl. A lot of us, including myself, followed your vlogs for you. And we’re here for you!

You're still really young and have your whole life ahead of you and you do look happier now! It will take a while to move past a break-up. I was married for almost 9 years and I had no idea what I would do once I became a single woman! I was very codependent on the other person, pretty much the same as you. Plus I lived with my parents until I got married so I really didn't live a life! I've been single since 2014 and I'm still enjoying it. I've gone on a few dates, but not really interested in a relationship just yet even though I'm turning 41 next month! It's sad you don't have the kitties but I'm really glad you have Kota! If I was you, take her to dog parks and slowly introduce her to other dogs and eventually she won't be scared or shy with other dogs. She sill love it and it will be great for the both of you! I can only imagine how you feel. I was in a relathionship (abusive one, towards the end) for 5 years (a lot of him cheating on me and me not knowing 1st few years, him doing drugs, etc.) and I felt like I've lost all the time of the world (I was 22 when we started daiting), I am 27 now and I've learned something about myself: thanks to that relathionship that ruined 5 years of my life, I am totaly different person now. I can smell bad person and person with different life goals from miles away so.. it gets better, girl. I am here for you! 💪♥️

I’ve been watching you for years, since I was a teen / early 20s and now I’m 27, going on 28. I’ve watched you and Matt for so long. I’m sorry hun. I feel so behind in life going through a bad breakup last year. No kids of my own, never married. I’ve always wanted to have those things but it hasn’t happened for me yet. And I always compare myself to friends. I know what the feeling of being behind feels like and it’s awful. But focusing on yourself is amazing, self love is real and it makes us stronger. Keep your head up, you’re not alone.
I broke up with my spouse of 10yrs a month ago. We have two small children and I didn't want our relationship to be the example for them. I had spent the last year thinking about ending ending it. In September I finally express my feelings and emotions to him and felt the same loneliness and dismissal as I had for years. I tried counseling but in the end unless I was going to give everything to the relationship he wanted/needed he was not going to attempt to meet mine. he could never understand my feelings or emotions because they seemed so irrational to him but were part of my fundamentals. Because I was so rejected constantly I withdrew into self preservation till our relationship had no chance to come back from.
This has been the longest month of my life as I am having to go through lawyers and the courts while we still live together. This is my home and i refuse to leave and he won't let me have it because of it. I too felt such a weight lifted off. My shoulders the night I broke up with him. It's the first night I had slept in over a month. I can't wait for everything to be settled so I can take my life in a positive direction and like you get back to me so I can be the greatest mom to my too kids because they matter to most and deserve the best.

The way you are right now is a breath of fresh air, you seem so more confident even with stating that you have so much to do you still seem like you have made great accomplishments in such a short time. You keep doing what you feel is best but I think you should talk to someone regarding keeping the relationship ongoing with his family. The father is a widower and must come to terms with his wife's death, the boys are old enough to look after themselves & you do not need to be feeling an obligation, that's not your place it wasn't your place initially to do those things that you did. I think you took a lot of slack where he lacked and you filled in taking on a role as the mother figure again was wrong of him to put you in that position whether you did it willingly or not. I think it would be a good idea to talk to someone about this as it may not be a healthy or good choice to keep close contact with them on a regular basis. Although they are separate from him as you say are good, kind people they are still a part of the relationship that is no longer, he still keeps connected with you as well through them. Kayleigh, I’ve been following you since your college days! I remember the first video I saw of you was a Smokey eye tutorial and ever since then I was a subscriber. I won’t lie and say after a few years I stopped watching. I always felt like you weren’t truly happy and were “locked up” if I could say that. Now I come back and see your recent videos and although I’m sad and shocked about what’s happened I’m also happy for you. You deserve so much happiness and love. I am 38.. single.. and just graduated with my masters degree. My life was turned upside down at 21 years old and it took many years to get myself back together physically (8 later surgeries on my back foot wrist and shoulder) and mentally/emotionally. One thing I've learned is we each have our own paths. Just because so many people follow societal standards of married with Children by 29 doesnt mean that that is your path. It means that when you do have a husband and children youll appreciate them more and because youre older and know what you dont want youll be a lot happier. Try not to compare because you are on YOUR own path. Be proud girl and enjoy your time and get those goals.

Going back to school sounds like an amazing plan. You are not too old for anything!! There is no set timeline for things to happen in life, you decide when and how things happen. I use to think I was "behind" in life becuase I saw friends and family having their first kids at 19-24. Im 28 now (expecting my first in July 👶) and I realized I was definitely not ready for kids that young. I see other people my age with new homes, great jobs, nice cars, big family but I remind myself, that's not my life. This is my life, new car (only because my previous one was a "total loss" according to insurance🤨) new baby, and soon new place to live. I'm pumped for a more vlog/beauty/lifestyle channel! New apartment, new friends, new life: Kayleigh, you are going to kill 2020!
