    Normal PFI or port fuel injection pressures maximum range almost never will exceed 75 PSI. On GDI the nominal fuel pressure is usually about 2900 PSI. These high pressure will naturally employ fuel components that are much more roughed in construction. Common Rail Direct Injection pressure measurements can be made with a robust thin film titanium oxy-nitride pressure transducer architecture. Hermetically-sealed, all-welded stainless steel construction is used, and a variety of port and electrical connector options is employed, satisfying specific manufacturers.
    Other GDI fuel pressure sensors employ advanced crystalline silicon MEMS strain gage technology. MEMS are related to semiconductors and integrated circuits, originally based on silicon wafer fabrication techniques, but adding space, and continuously variable output similar to analog devices.     No, GDI is not the same as Diesel Piezoelectric injectors. Although they may start using PE injectors on GDI in the future. PE injectors are very expensive so manufacturers won't do it if they don't have to. Nominal voltage for GDI injectors (this is not standardized yet) is 60 to 70 volts, peak-and-hold pulse, 6 A, 5 A then 2.5 Amps. The current is varied depending on demand.     For the time being, I don't think anyone it's making them yet. These use higher voltage and it's too new for the market, although it could change right away.

    hi, what is GDI injector voltage level, is it around 80 to 120 votls, similar to Diesel engine injecotr voltage. Second how is this injector differ from Diesel peizo injecotr

    What would happen if the actual fuel psi is way above desired psi? Would the car start? plus, what can cause excesive psi?

      These Piezo injectors work at 3000PSI Max, so doubtful if they go above. Fuel is pressurized by the cam on the HP-Pump.
