I sent a message to Dale Jr when he come out of Myrtle Beach and started running Bush. I was trying to buddy up as I worked at Microsoft at the time and was running at Concord in 2001 and was hoping I could use my connections internally to help him and me at the same time. I told Dale Jr way back then that supporting the lower ranks was so important to help grow the sport. I dont know if my email made it to him b/c he never responded but I noticed right away that he was doing exactly what I wanted to see all successful drivers do in supporting the lower ranks. Dale Jr if you're reading this I want to say thank you for being the best advocate out there to this day. You are leading by example and make us all proud. Take a bow and pat yourself on the back buddy. You turned out to be someone that we can all be proud of. Keep up the good work.
Those Saturday Night grass-roots races are the heart of American Racing and keeps the sport alive. "Dust ups" like that keep bringing the fans back and strengthens the sport as a whole. Drivers known by few...but true Kings of the Saturday Night Speedway, and week after week Legends are made!
After all that has happened, just want you to know how much I love you and your dad. Nascar was such a big part of my life...for all my life.. especially Talladega. Time to read a book, take a walk and let go. Love ya Jr. Angels with you always.
Standing with your driver in a moral situation 11/10. The respect gained from standing ones ground in a fair and just way can only be earned. Fearce competitiveness and a understanding of mutual respect is why im still a supporter today. 🤙
Jr, you could not evaluated that better. The cost thru time is devestating on both sides of the expenses. It has to not be tolerated or you will have no enjoyment in competition.
Late model racing here in NC is some of the best short track racing you will ever see. Please go out and support one, you won’t believe what you have been missing.
The CARS tour needs to adopt the rule that the ACT tour has up hear in New England. If the leader and the second place cars are in a situation such as Berry and McCarty were, they both go to the rear of the field. Bet that would cool McCarty's jets.
You articulated it perfectly Jr. Josh has to learn to stand on his own two feet and defend himself, or he'll never make it to the Cup Series much less stay there if he ever makes it there.
DALE.... suit up and drive... keep it secret ... don’t let Bobby see you get in the car.... let him push you around then go get him. Obviously something wrong..... “ it keeps happening to MY car”
Junior your content & podcast can be a lesson how the rest of Americans need to go on with living and get back to loving something again! II get overwhelmingly hopeful when I see good ole fashion Americans still being Good Ole fashion Americans!
Hell Ya! Josh is a Great race car driver, and he has always been a stand up fella. I agree that there is a time to stand up and show "Enough is Enough". Even if Bobby is a stand up feller, when you mess up multiple of times with someone during crucial moments...Bobby should know that payback will come. I'm still pulling for Josh to get some more runs in XFINITY for Jr. Motorsports in the future.
When someone has that aggressive driver label they get to push it to the line and sometimes over it like a K.Harvick and at somepoint folks get tired of being screwed, tired of being nice and when you bully the bully they don't like it. Good for J.Berry.
Typical short track drama. One fast guy is always laying the bumper as part of his game to advance his position. He becomes the track villain. Right or wrong way to drive, but every track would take one of these guys to sell tickets.
Raised in it all his life. I would trust Dale Jr and Jeff Gordon more than any other driver out there. Hands down. I love these two racers. Wish I could show Dale the great song me and my daddy wrote for this country. This song has people singing it in my town. On the matters on this video....There should be a Nascar court or something like that! Lmbo. If someone is at fault(by aggression) there should be a penalty on the driver, like he goes quite a few positions back or even made to go to the end of the pack and next race suspended. ...or something similar to that. Racers may calm down after that.
I've seen Josh get moved in races before this race! Like last year at Martinsville, he dominated the race and then got taken out right there in the last segment!
Dale love that you support your driver. Watched the race, was pretty choked that the original incident happened. It was going to be a good race if they would have raced. But what a race! Can't wait to see Josh back in the seat. Wish the series would have suspended the other driver as well seeing he has a patern of being an ass lol. Great entertainment
Every race should have at least one driver who’s willing to regulate or retaliate on the track, on behalf of the sport. Getting Dumped every week by a different car for being stupid would stop it. Can’t suspend everyone
Oh its pretty simple, expect to raced the way you race people. If Josh is polite and Bobby is not, Bobby is breaking the racer agreement. If Bobby is being rough, he is allowing for that to come back to him... The series can't let this get out of hand tho, so it would have been nice if it wasn't quite so blatant a retaliation, is the series position IMO.
i've watched both races you flashed. i disagree on who's at fault. both video's show berry changing lanes making it his fault. though i'm sure mccarty is no angel, he is a good and aggressive driver. it seems to me that in both racing incidents, berry tried tricks on mccarty that didn't work. but dumping the leader was a dirty, cheap kenseth shot and therefore should be suspended. the biggest problem with racing is the emphasis on championships. once they get into that mentality, they race a lot different.
This is exactly what NASCAR needs and they need to be looking to the lower ranks to help them improve their situation. When NASCAR was in its most successful era, there were a ton of rivalries that drew in the crowds and TV audiences to see what was gonna happen next. Now it's all so saccharine. There ARE some budding rivalries out there in Cup right now, but the officials, owners and drivers seem to have no desire to let them develop and always nips them in the bud. If the prevailing attitude is gonna continue to be "Boys, have at it"...well...BOYS, HAVE AT IT!!
LarryWT Too many snowflakes in modern Nascar, and that’s unfortunate because it’s what made the sport so popular in the 80s-90s, and now the lack of paybacks and rivalries is killing Nascar.
@@Riggsfan99 Dale Jr is not the same type of driver his dad was. I am NOT saying he isn't a good driver. That would be totally untrue. However being an intimidator is a mental thing. You either are or aren't. Doesn't mean I think Dale Jr wouldn't return the favor. I already would have but I don't race. For all I know, I probably don't have any talent to speak of. However, I do know myself and yeah, there miiigghtt be just a touch of intimidator in me because of the way I am. That understanding of myself helped me understand Dale Sr and made me a Dale Sr fan.
A second car on track for "special occasions" would be the answer to the loss of the championship . Let the second car be a "dumper" to run enough races to keep Bobby from running for the championship at least
I wish Bill France jr was still around because all governors that had a NASCAR date would have had a real fight because not one race would have been missed and fans would have been at all of them!
Bobby’s driving style sounds a bit like the Intimidator - Dale Sr. This doesn’t mean I agree with Bobby’s driving style it is just a statement. A good rivalry can energize the fans like Richie Evans and Geoff Bodine did in the Modified Races.
Jr, you are a hell of a man and very smart but it just takes so long for you to get a story out, always has been you achilles heel. Now don't get me wrong what you have to say is worth waiting for but you seem to take the long way to get there. Maybe there is someone you can work with on it and help improve you long future in broadcasting.

Jr you oughta think about running for political office!!!. That was the most politically correct way of saying "McCarty is a dang weapon" I've ever heard.
Oh I race at Bowman Gray all the time it's a role in demolition derby I love the track and short is tight but I hate the people that are there no one has respect for nobody instead of racing their way around you when they catch you they just dumped you
Did anyone remember that it was the 76th anniversary of D-Day. Did anyone thank a Veteran. Probably not, because we are to busy bitchen about a confederate flag, and rioting. You can't change the past, We have to learn from it, to become better. (all of us).

Been watching this pod since it came out and this is one of my favorite episodes! You gotta do what you gotta do!
Dale needs a new nickname. This guy is the Professor. He just knows everything.
He's like NASCAR rain-man
Well you know he is a PRO!!!!!
What would Rick Mast do?
Berry did the Kenseth and I like it.
Kenseth and Logano. Classic I've had enough. Loved it

Awesome display of guts on the part of a genuine contender for the championship.
Josh just made Rick Mast and Dale proud.
Bobby will forever be hated by NASCAR nation since dale jr posted this.
Do you think they liked him before this was posted?
Lol. What are you in for Dale? Looks like he recorded this in jail.
His beach house
Haha I said same thing lol
What I was thinking
Lol. I was thinking the same thing.
I was laughing at this as well. The other 3 look like they are in the studio/shop and Dale is in a cell. :)
Great clip!!! Good stuff JR and as always handled with class and respect!
Hey Dale Jr., Why don't you get in the car and take some of the young pups to school.
He is saturday @ homestead!
He is in the xfinity race tomorrow in homestead driving the number 8.
I think it's around 1:30 or 2:30.
On Fox.
He got 5th, i think you got that wish lol.
I remember back around 96- 97 Myrtle Beach Speedway #3 Sundrop car had similar chain of events with #34 Merritt logging car
Where can one watch this series online?
... didn't realize that you owned more than Infinity Teams Jr! well done supporting the lower ranks ';-)
He’s had a late model team wayyyyy longer then he’s had a xfinity team. He’s late model team was brought up into xifinty with mark McFarland.
Ah yes, the NASCAR Infinity Series
Jrm has been around for a very very long time!!
Xfinity

Ace was one of the main topics on CNN this morning!!
But if it's CNN, I'm betting the racing had nothing to do with it.
Imagine being bobby and having a legend say he doesn't like your style. Might as well call him "heartbroken"
I totally agree with Dale, it had to be addressed to move forward, with the understanding that if you do this I'm going to do what I need to do.
Reminds me of another driver I watched for years RIP 3 I cried the day you died

Dale you should drive the car

Did berry forget last year at ace when he took Bobby out?
He did that to layne riggs at carteret county in 2018 when layne had led all the laps.
Can you not appeal the suspension?
Good for Josh! He stood up for him and his teammates. Question, would you take your family to an fan open event at Ace? Love the Dirty Moe show.
