Yeah ... test these machines at the expense of public safety ... I'm all for self-driving cars ... but not if private companies make all the profits at public expense and safety.
They claim that these are safer than human drivers and they've published some data that seems to back that up. But I agree that they're taking income away from people who drive for a living. Doesn't sit right with me.
Hey, here's an idea ... how about more buses and trains? All these cars are a disaster. Traffic, idiots and expensive cars and insurance is ridiculous. We need public transportation.
@@punkypinko2965 I mean, it's not just testing, this service is available in multiple cities. I've done it a few times, the experience is just like taking an Uber.
@@_____case The whole time these cars are on the roads, it's testing. By testing, I don't mean "testing before they're on the road". No. By testing, I mean, the only way to find the problems is to release them onto public roads. You can't find all the issues by testing them in a lab. There is no way to completely test them without putting them on public roads and letting the public use them, for years.
