In Rainbows is definitely my favorite Radiohead album and one of my favorite from any artist. Just incredible and it still resonates.

Very cool reaction. Nice to hear your backstory to the band. OK Computer is probably top 20 of most unique and innovative albums. Radiohead, the Verve, Blur, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Sublime. Late 90's early 2000's were such a great era of new innovative music.

In Rainbows is a banger front to back. I started with Pablo Honey back in 93. LOVED The Bends, then fell off for a few years. In Rainbows dropped and I was back. It made me go back to see what I had missed. I've seen them live 4 times and now consider them in my Top 5 all time bands. Incredible catalog.
Saw them in London and my home town and theirs, Oxford. Very proud they are from where I was brought up.
When I was 14 I started digging quite deeply into Radiohead and fell in love with their electronic and indie, I guess, sound. Now I'm 18 and since then I've been taking a turn in favor of prog rock but I still love and adore Radiohead for their instrumentation and creativity (And The Smile).
Will say this again: my two favorite groups that no one can touch: The Beatles and Radiohead!

Yes - they're top tier. Their first two albums are masterpieces. Not to mention their other albums or their Sap and Jar of Flies EPs.
Thanks for the fun reaction and history of how you relate to the music. Radiohead came out at a time when I wasn’t really investing any energy into contemporary music so it’s nice to hear it. I am a geezer prog-head, but recently the wife and I have been doing a deep dive into the Radiohead discography and scored alll their albums. Great stuff! We differed on induvial songs, but our album rangings were the same:

6. Hail to the Thief
7. Amnesiac
8. King of Limbs
9. Palblo Honey

The Live From The Basement performance of In Rainbows is one of the greatest things ever. Check it on RUclips - it puts the album in a new light.
My lists pretty much moves all Radiohead albums (except Pablo Honey is always last) around in rank. KoL can even be #1 sometimes

Hi guys, and Nirvana ! There is only one thing greater than listening to some Radiohead ... and that's watching them !!! Their live performances are mesmerizing, especially when Thom Yorke goes into a head shaking trance as his vocals become more and more emotional. Their live performance on the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury in 1997 is legendary, and the greatest live performance of any artist of all time !!! ... Considering they have been at Glastonbury numerous times, it is this one event in 1997 that did it. If you haven't seen .. you need to !!! Great reaction Nirvana ! This was an unexpected treat. It took me a while to feel this way definitively, but I do believe In Rainbows is the best Radiohead album, and the best album of the 2000s

I am so psyched that you chose this song!! It is the song that turned me on to Radiohead, back in 2007, when I was 51. Our local radio station (WQKL) played it a lot and I bought the CD. I would dance around the living room wildly to it! Now I'm a BIG Radiohead fan and have almost all their CDs.
Since you mentioned 15 Step, did you know they played it at the 2009 Grammys? The USC (chosen) Marching Band (just brass and percussion) accompanied them. It was a great performance and you can find it on You Tube.
So glad Nirvana liked it, and I agree, she probably will love the whole album, as we do!

You guys! I love radio head. Our album during courting was Elton Johns Yellow Brick Road. Our song was Benny And That Jets. Whenever Jean hears this song, she blubbers like a baby! So Lex is a college girl. Enlighten me, what's your under graduate degree? You've been ignoring me, I'm deeply hurt. Whaaa!
It’s nice to see Reactors finally exploring more than just “Creep” by Radiohead. That song probably doesn’t even crack my top 15 in terms of favorite. This one is definitely up there for me.
Nice song! I don't know much about Radiohead: I know Creep & Paranoid Android. PA is such an awesome song! I am not sure if I have ever listen to the whole OK Computer album, I would think I would of since PA was so amazing, but that was soooo long ago and I know I never bought the CD, it's on a Compilation Album that I own called Big Shiny Tunes along with Blur's Song 2, Bush's Swallowed, , Holly McNarland's Numb, etc.

This album can only be because Phil Selway the human metronome provides ram Rod straight road of percussive perspective that in rainbows weaves around .
Folks don’t make a movement of songs as much as they used to. They have always made an Album….a build up from start to finish. They make a bed for his private pleadings, fears.sadness, isolation, even joy occasionally, even if it is just an act of release. You have to watch the ‘From the Basement’ version of this record. They also do a live performance of King of Limbs which lifts the performance of the record. Im glad you are sharing these records. It’s how I heard Ok….on my way in a car to Chicago to see live music. I had been an archaeologist in the field so I wasn’t too aware of what was swirling in the ether. It hit me over the head and I haven’t stopped listening since.
