Ironically, I have more Dani Moonstar figures than any actual army builder. I have a grand total of five: Moonstar, Karma, Wolfsbane, Majik, and Magma. Why we never got a male counterpart to that set is beyond me. Other than that, I have 3x AIM, 3x Hydra, and 3x Hellfire Club goon. Those are from the good ‘ole days when you could get Army Builders for $15 each on Hasbro Pulse instead of $50 two packs.
I wonder if we'll ever go back to the single packed $15 trooper. I will say I feel like the value is there to justify the $50 2 packs so far with the amount of swapable parts they use. Although it would be nice if there was the same body from the 2 pack issues as the standard, doesn't come with much, trooper to use some of those extra parts with.
@@thestrongcollectors Yes, to be fair, you are getting considerably more with the full priced two packs. I just thought the idea of offering very basic army builder releases at a discounted price was brilliant. I guess it comes down to “Do you want to spend $200 and get 10 army builders with the same head and body, or do you want to spend $200 and get 8 army builders with some variety?” My stock answer is “Why not offer both?”
great topic bros, discussions that lead to more fun in this community, bravo wow, you guys are the encyclopedia of Marvel mmm, so many great options to choose the purple guy at $30 looks great, except, he cannot hold weapons, or grab much I like my Hulk because he can grab about any fig s head in one hand and lift him I take time to pose, always did, since the 80s anyways, Joes one guy was nt mentioned, 'the leader', he had minions in the episode I read some basic creatures that had no face features... anyways, he threw tons at Hulk, and that was a blast to see in action of course, I have punisher, cap am, iron man, and want og nick fury so... I d want more aim, hydra, shields troops what I noticed from your great examples was that sometimes, they come with too much or big weapons, I d prefer just a rifle, guns, occasional bazooka, I also have venom to stop... I m going to try ropes to simulate his powers on my dio I really favour 10 - 1 battle ratio, heroic, or in bad guys s cases, ...a disaster I have juggernaut, how many reg guys does it take to challenge this guy? my best surprise in your video was surely the doom bots.... I had totally forgot about them I want doom, and yeah, I read the story, it was pretty good, and sound in concept I d pick a few of those to make doom very hard to put down I still think of 'battle stations' in legends terms some super weapons stations, even light vehicles many villains would build - use these devices, doc oc, green goblin, mysterio, the leader... a story scheme would complete this well, like, doom makes these weapons for villains to occupy the heroes, while keeping the most powerful for himself imagine if all these weapons could combine as a 'build a figure' concept making a giant mech, or tank, doomsday machine us comic guys have imagination, 'what if' is my best fun to date with cross overs, but stations, s weapons could be really exciting to me I sure hope to get new stuff to get on shelves but just figs in the future so now you know... good show bros
Thank you! We thought this would be a fun one to sit back and just enjoy a trip down memory lane more so than a hot button topic or speculation. Maybe we could do a wish list episode on what army builders we want to come next.
@@thestrongcollectors reg officers, troopers, vipers, bats, toxo viper v 2, class is expensive, I have to skip a lot of types, but missed all those, thanks
I recently found Cassie Lang Ultron and was happy to finally have an Ultron. I missed out on the Ursa Major Ultron and needed one for my Avengers. The plastic color instead of the paint doesn't bother me that bad but I definitely wish they would've painted it the same. Great video. Never knew just how many army builders there were in Marvel Legends.
We didn't realize either until putting this one together. The new Ultron isn't bad but whenever there's 2 versions of a character there will always be those who like option 1 and those who like option 2. When building an army though I can totally see reason to have both in the collection.
Well, I have a pretty good Hydra, I have a decent AIM, I have a good Hand. I was only able to get 7 Hellfire Club Goons. I only have 6 Male SHIELD Agents, I have 8 Female SHIELD Agents. I was able to get Dani Moonstar, Wolfsbane, Karma, and Magma from that. I have about 8 Skrulls, only 2 Kree. Only 2 Multiple Man so far. My Sentinels are a mix of the 3.75" scale and 2 Titan ones. I am Fudging a Yancy Street Gang from Hood Figures. I finally have 2 of the Tracksuit Mafia coming. I will be getting more of them.
Army building is one of my favourite things to do. Not having pulse in Australia has made it difficult, I don’t have the grey hand ninjas or the female shield/hydra agents (which I would love to have)
I thought about Brrod queen but there's only one Queen of the hive so she didn't make the cut. It would be easy enough to just call her a normal brood though.
I don't think the Cuckoos work either because it's 3 characters. I guess you could swap other heads on to have a generic school uniform but I don't think it's army building material.
Guardsman. Black Widows with headswaps to make Evil Black Widows like in the movie. I also did the 4 movie and book Daughters of Fu Manchu from the Xialing buck with headswapping 3 of them. Ling Moy: 1931 film, Daughter of the Dragon, a Daughter of Fu Manchu, played by Anna May Wong Lin Tang: Hammer movie series, Daughter of Fu Manchu Fah Lo Suee aka Zheng Bao Yu: book and Comics, Daughter of Fu Manchu Xialing: Shang Chi film, Daughter of Wen Wu, aka Mandarin, aka Fu Manchu
I thought that death dealer was going to be an army builder when the figure was put out but there's only one in the movie. I think he'd make a cool builder though.
Since its against one of my prime directives of toy collecting i dont buy multiples of the same character so i have never been an army builder and my collection is not really based on whatever media the toys are based on i really dont need to . I do have armies ofcourse but all are different under one theme ,like orcs or vampires . None are the same character .
@@thestrongcollectors i do have a few being new to the line . Ofcourse everyone knows the difficulty of getting previous releases since they are really expensive but i have some on preorder .I have a lot of stuff from the old chap mei line of fantasy stuff too although in 1/18 scale ,and the mcfarlane warhammer orcs are good too .
I was curious if you got multiples of those for part swapping to make different characters even though it's parts from the same.

Really wish Hasrbo would consider making Shield strike team multi-packs. It'd also be very cool to see some Orcis stuff produced as well.
I kind of hope the 3 pack they put out this year is army builder friendly.
I want an Orchis trooper real bad

Another banger, you guys have quickly become my favorite action figure channel.
Hey thank you! We’ll keep putting out banger. Tell everyone about us! Let’s make it to the top.
Dani is an army builder in my eyes because there's three heads and that's how many Multiple Mans I bought.
Yeah Jordan! That one vote for IS army builder.
Red Hand Ninjas can still be had for about $20!
I think he's one I'm going to start building.
4 letter site, starts with B. They are $19.99. Can't post the name as that would be breaking rules.
Definitely need a full army builder wave as a fan channel exclusive
That would be amazing. I feel like that would really be a hot seller.
The skrull army builder got so expensive, I made resin casts of both heads. Looks like I was lucky to pick up two of them at cost.
Oh wow, you're right. I didn't realize they were going so high now.
That story Jordan pitched is just the mid 2000s Madrox mini and the subsequent X-Factor run.
I thought it sounded familiar. Thanks for giving us the context.
@@thestrongcollectors for sure. It was really good, too, if you're looking for something to read.
The white Sasquatch variant isn't a Wendigo. It's actually Heather McDaniel Sasquatch from Exiles. Look her up 😊
Whoah! I didn't know that. I thought it looked like the Wendigo from the cover of Wolverine fighting him.

I don't disagree. but living in Wisconsin sometimes calls for a beard.
The yon rogg difures from captain marvels make great army builder figures they’re so boring and generic
And pretty cheap too
Why don’t they make the submariners army?
That's kind of what we talked about in the new episode.
I’d like to see them mark a 3 pack of Atlantis army for Namor
Why a 3 pack vs 2 or 1?
