Biff's actor Thom Wilson voiced two SpongeBob characters. Reg, Bouncer to the Salty Spittoon. And Flats, the guy who wanted to kick SpongeBob's butt.
Also, you said if Biff was a nicer guy people might like him and things would be better for him. Well, his actor Thom Wilson is a very nice guy. And he was bullied. Which is where he drew a lot of his inspiration for Biff from.

Fun Cameo Moment: If you look back at Marty McFly demonstrating his skill at the arcade game in the 80's Cafe, you might notice one of the little boys watching him is a wee little Frodo Baggins. Young Elijah Wood himself.
There are some who call it a plot hole that Biff was able to get back to his own 2015, instead of traveling to the new 2015 in the "Biff Trump" timeline. I strongly believe that Biff was able to make it back to his original future because the ripples of the timeline changes had not yet caught up with him. The "heart attack" he was experiencing is all that's left of a deleted scene in which he actually disappears. I think it was from that moment that the 2015 we saw became closed off. Altogether, they did an absolutely wonderful job on this movie.
Sadly, Crispin Glover did not return to play the role of George, due to issues between himself and the studio. They did a remarkable job hiding that fact, though, between re-using shots from the first movie, and using makeup and prosthetics to hide the stand-in actor portraying him. Incidentally, that's why 2015 George was hanging upside down with a back injury, to make it harder to tell it wasn't Crispin.

    • @glennwelsh9784
      @glennwelsh9784 2 года назад +5

Yes, the issues between Crispin Glover and the studio sparked a lawsuit. Glover sued over the unauthorized use of his likeness in this movie and won, setting the legal precedent that all studios had to gain permission from actors for the use of their likeness in their films.

But then why didn't Marty "die"?
Technicaly he comes from a diffrent timeline too and never lived the life of "new timeline Marty".
Some say that Marty is protected by the Time Bastardtheory, meaning a timetraveler is unharmed from the changes he or she makes because they are behind reality but then Biff would be protected as well...

    • @Horus175

I saw something about that deleted Biff scene and it wasn't a heart attack. In the new timeline Lorraine shot and killed him in 1994 and that was him fading out of existence due to the paradox.

You are right about Biff's actor, Thomas F. Wilson. He has been heard in a number of episodes of "SpongeBob SquarePants", as well as voicing Patrick's dad in the spin-off series "The Patrick Star Show".
About Wilson, he recently sold a near-mint condition VHS copy of the first BTTF film from 1986, which was purchased at an auction for $75,000. He originally tried to sell it on eBay, but decided to go the traditional auction route when he got too overwhelming of a response.

The bit with Doc claiming to have gotten surgery to look younger is sort of a movie magic in-joke. Christopher Lloyd was wearing "old man" makeup for the "old Doc" from 1985 and showed his normal face for the 1955 Doc. He literally tears off the old man makeup here and shows his normal face from here on in the films.

Great reaction! I remember seeing this in theaters, like the original, in late 1989. It was a real mind trip, to be sure. But I really enjoyed the third one quite a bit, partly because it takes place mostly in the Old West (I’m a fan of Westerns and Old West history), but mainly because it just resolves the whole story so well and so satisfactorily, and finishes the character arcs of everyone, and yet is a bit sad, in some respects. Ultimately it all ends on an uplifting note, but you wind up not really wanting it to end because it’s been such an amazing adventure and you find that you’ve come to genuinely love these characters. It’s truly one of the greatest film trilogies ever made.

Notice that at the beginning of the film (which was reshot because of the new Jennifer actress), Doc now looks like he's dodging Marty's questions about what happens to him in the future. That's because this movie introduced the idea of Marty's life being ruined after the car accident (which Doc knows about).
The DeLorean no longer needs plutonium, because Doc installed "Mr. Fusion", a 2015 fusion reactor for your home that runs on garbage.
The old guy who gives Marty the idea of betting on sports was played by Charles Fleischer, who voiced the title character in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", which Bob Zemeckis directed in between the first film and this one (and also features Christoper Lloyd). It's not so clear (because of a cut scene) but he also appears in 1955 as the mechanic arguing with Biff over the cost of repairing his car.

They had to recast the part of Jennifer because the original actress, Claudia Wells, was dealing with her mother's cancer at the time.
3:40 - The video waiters are a parody of an 80's personality called Max Headroom, who was played by actor Matt Frewer under heavy latex makeup, and which was made into a short-lived show.
5:44 - There are people who have built real, working hoverboards. They're large, noisy, and typically only work on metal surfaces. They're also next to impossible to control because there's no friction at all to keep them oriented in a particular direction. You can find videos of them being built and tested here on RUclips. Hacksmith Industries even designed theirs to look like the one in this movie (except larger, thicker and with exposed crap on the underside).
9:20 - Old Marty is in the future because after he gets through traveling with Doc, he intends to go back and live out his life with Jennifer in 1985. There's no old Doc in the future because he left 1985 and plans to spend the rest of his life time traveling.

Fun fact. Robert Zemeckis had no intention of making two more Back to the Future movies. I don't think he has every done any sequels before or since. The ending of the first movie with Jennifer and Marty taking off in the DeLorean with Doc was done as a joke, and not meant to be taken seriously as hook for the next movie. The "to be continued" graphic was actually added in for later VHS and DVD releases, and not in the original theatrical release. When this movie came out, the "to be concluded" was there because Zemeckis was intent on a third movie once he was convinced to do the second one.

Before you watch III, I _highly_ recommend you watch either _Time After Time_ (1979), _Goin' South_ (1981), or both. Mary Steenburgen is the third lead in BttF III, and the film's humor is heavily based on the two movies I mentioned before because she starred in both of them. The first is a time travel movie and the second is a Western (both VERY good movies, by the way), and III quotes _directly_ from those two movies, including lines spoken by characters. If you haven't seen them before watching III, then at least 50% of the jokes will fly right over your head and you'll miss some great stuff. :)

The old man in the future Terry, who wishes he could go back and place a bet on the Cubs and inspires Marty to buy the Almanac, is the mechanic who charges Biff for cleaning out the manure from his car. The actor is Charles Fleischer who is also the voice of Roger Rabbit. I don't know...just find it a fun fact.

And when they filmed the first movie the also filmed the second movie as because they knew they were making a second one. I always found that really cool. Anyways slayin the reaction game keep it up 🫶🏽

They filmed two and three together, not the first and second. They had no idea they would do any sequels as the first one was so hard to get green lit in the first place. Robert Zemeckis or Bob Gale (I forget which) said in an interview if they'd have known they were going to do a sequel they wouldn't have had Jennifer see the time machine at the end of the first movie.

Doc is supposed to be in his late-30s in 1955 and his late-60s in 1985. The actor was in his late-40s.

Why do I get the feeling that Biff's grandma is the kind who's been insisting she doesn't have long to live for the past 40 years and who always insists that she's too weak and feeble to do anything until a travelling salesman steps on her grass and then suddenly she's out on the front porch with her shotgun ready to go in 20 seconds?

Jennifer was recast because the original actress had some family issues that she had to take care of and she was not able to participate in the rest of the trilogy.

Lots of companies took advantage of the free advertising that was built in to October 2015. The Nike shoes were made. The Pepsi "tube cans" were made. I myself even have the copy of USA Today shown with Marty Jr and Griff's gang getting arrested.

  • @SaulOhio

If you think this got complicated, you should hear one of the fan theories. The first movie wasn't Marty's first trip through that particular time loop. There was a previous version of Marty that was more of a delinquent, and STOLE the Delorean and went back in time by accident. That first time, Doc didn't get the information about the lightning strike, so that Marty had to stay in 1955, became a famous rock star, displacing Huey Louis who ended up instead as the teacher that told him "Your just too darn loud". Doc feels guilty, befriends Marty when he is born, and sets up the "Save the clock tower" lady to give him the information about the lightning strike, and thats where the first movie starts.

It's a bit of a joke using the Delorean. They'd have saved a lot of headaches if Doc chose
practically anything other than the very heavy and slow Delorean.
Getting to 88MPH in that just makes things so much harder. haha
They replaced Crispin Glover who played Marty's father in this because he didn't like the ending of the first film, (the having money equals happiness message it gave) and the director took it personal and would only pay him half. Yep, that's another actor wearing prosthetics to look like him and they went to court over it. Imagine losing out on a franchise like this. Crispin Glover is that kind of guy.

@Californiablend I think you’re right about Biff(Thomas Wilson) voicing a character on SpongeBob; though I’m not sure of the episode. I do know he voiced a character in a memorable two-part episode of Batman: The Animated Series; and appeared in a few episodes of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
