Thanks so much for your work… part one and two have been really useful for me… I identify so much with your comments about repetitive thinking and the lack of concentration… also your general reflections on work, lifestyle and attitudes to how we live… I’m enjoying experimenting with your breathing exercises and already feeling benefits. I have a Qigong teacher who says ‘just empty your mind’ … it’s all very well for him!!! Like climbing Everest for me … but the breathing is a gateway to relaxing the mind… fabulous… thanks again…
Love this video. When I was in high school (55 years ago) I asked my counselor how to stop the excessive thinking? She was clueless. I wish I saw this video 55 years ago. I'm practicing your breathing technique all day long. My sleep has improved too. Thank you.
You're absolutely right about taking the place of meditation with you into everyday life. Many people are so present and serene on the mat but out in life they can forget all about presence and be very reactive. Those types of segmented practices can almost be an escape from the pressures of the real world but if presence is brought into th real world then that's where the most profound experiences can be had.
I have a question. It's a great metaphore about mind as a garden. What if I want to keep my garden as permaculture? Is it even to possible to do with your mind, to keep it in the state of permaculture? Month ago by chance I was attending breathing Buteyko method workshop, it was a part of yoga workshop. It made me to think how to manage my mind. Thank you for all of your work: books, podcast etc. It helps many people. Thank you for building this net that now Buteyko breathing is coming to people that are not serching for it. It is like snow ball, caches more snow with each turn.
I love your advice on breathing. You are a lifesaver Patrick this video as well. I am finally breathing better and sleeping better I can’t say thanks enough for your sharing your knowledge with everyone and me being one of the lucky ones.you are amazing. Thanks
The mind doesn’t Stop thinking ! You can notice how they slow down when you become aware that you can Watch your thoughts without getting ON that train of thought ! It takes training however your brain becomes aware of your new awareness witnessing Neuroscience confirms 😊
Hi. There is no video on this topic yet. However, it is recommended to do 20 minutes of reduced breathing and 5 strong breath holds right before the talk. Hope this helps. Darren

What is Patrick's opinion on hyperbaric oxygen therapy?
It's shown to have good results. Focus should still be on functional breathing as well as the chambers
Video suggestion- on how to breathe while public speaking (if public speaking is your profession)
