These "new" Sigma DX lenses are all quite old. They have been on the market for other mounts. So I'm wondering how the Sigma 16mm compares to the Viltrox 13mm. Would love to see you guys test the Viltrox and put it side by side to this Sigma lens.
I have the Sigma trio for Sony, 16mm, 30mm and the 56mm F/1.4's and my favorite is the 56mm being close to the 85mm equivalent in full frame which is my favorite focal length. The Megadap ETZ11 adapter works great with all Nikon cameras. You have just given me another 3 content videos to do with my Nikon Z7II in crop mode and how they perform and push over 600 videos for my channel. Thank You. I also bought the carrying padded cushion black zipper three sectional cloth case for these lenses. Boy that was a mouthful! Cheers!
I was looking forward to these Sigma lenses, but I'm discouraged by the reviews I've read about chromatic aberration on the 30mm. I look forward to your review.
I had this lens on my G9, it’s very nice. But on the Z cameras I think the Viltrox 14mm F1.4 is as good and better value. The Viltrox also has an aperture ring which is great- particularly on a camera with no aperture dial. Barbican- a carbuncle of classic brutalist architecture.
I have Nikon Zfc and thinking to buy this lens but it has VR? Also how works together according to you? For engagement, wedding, corporate video shooting? Also working with Dji Rs3 mini gimbal? Now I have Nikon 24-70 f2.8S lens and Nikon 16-50mm f3.5 kit lens for my Zfc.
The 16mm is my favorite of the trio for my Sony A6xxx cameras. The compact 56mm is nice as well although I’d prefer something closer to a 100mm+ full frame equivalent. The Barbican is a cool place, sadly London City Museum is moving away from the Barbican.
I like Sigma lenses, and I am very pleased that they are creating some for the Nikon DX mirrorless market. I won't purchase any of these lenses until there is a DX camera with IBIS. I enjoy shooting in low light like I did in our trip to Paris recently. The night photographic opportunities for the Parisian streets is fantastic!
Compared to the kit: 16-50mm this is "large"...in broad daylight the need for a 16 mm f/1.4 is an overkill where a kit 16-50 mm would have sufficed. I have the 10-20mm AF-P DX for things wider with an FTZ...BTW 16-50mm is an underrated lens...
Great review. I agree these Sigmas quality and competitive pricing significantly strengthen Nikon’s somewhat DX lens offerings. I hope to see Xspeed 7-based DX bodies in the not too distant future.
May we witness more pieces from Sigma and Tamron.

16mm F/1.4 is usually used for the studio for live streaming. Sharp and just right for most RUclipsrs.
I got mine! Hoping Sigma put out some Z mount F/2.8 DX zoom lenses.

QQQ: Z mount's touted advantage is it removes optical design constraints of the F mount. Does that apply to DX cameras & lenses?

What film simulation were you using please?

If they come out with a Z50ii i might grab a copy of this lens.
Absolutely love the Barbican.

hi is it possible to put it on the Nikon z5?
Is this a stupid question, only asking as confused… will this fit a Nikon Z8 camera as review here keeps talking about DX lenses…
