  • We have here a 2015 Ford Edge with a non-working rear wiper. The car had a lot of previous work done on it, and the rear window was replaced, so they assumed it would be a wiring issue from the previous work. It turned out to be a straightforward, simple diagnosis. I hope you enjoy it!

    Thanks for sharing. Enjoy the thoroughness of your troubleshooting and the fact you use your arsenal of tools to come to the conclusion. I personally learn from watching how you troubleshoot and demonstrate by using different tools. Thanks for sharing. So many videos techs tell you the problem but skip through the process. 👍Artie

    The light bulb check was a good pointer for me. It's something that I know about but I don't apply it enough. This video shows how it can be use to dial in the problem very quickly 👍

    Hey man love your videos! Do you think you could make one with more explanation on the purpose of the load test how it works for circuits to find shorts etc, I’m looking at expanding my electrical diag knowledge and find your videos fascinating thank you!

    Enjoy watching your videos. When dealing with short circuits do you use the high amp load test light or the regular load test light from JARHEAD DIAGNOSTICS?

    • @advancedleveldiagnostics
      @advancedleveldiagnostics  4 месяца назад +1

      You are supposed to substitute the normal circuit amperage for a light with a similar load. Usually, on an average small fuse, 4.5A is enough, so I use the high-amp test light. I don't have Jarhead's regular test light, so I'm not sure what amperage it pulls.If it's 2A, that's probably fine, too.

    A pre scan is a must, I also print mode six and freeze frame, for good measure.

    • @advancedleveldiagnostics
      @advancedleveldiagnostics  4 месяца назад

      That's a great idea! What tool do use to print mode 6?

    • @rodvan-zeller6360
      @rodvan-zeller6360 4 месяца назад

      @@advancedleveldiagnostics Think tool pros, or Automotive test solutions E scan (in color).
      I love mode 6 for documentation because it points out something close to failing.
      Freeze frame is very useful to know which conditions to run the monitors under, real life example: after repairing an evap issue vehicle clear the monitor under different conditions, when temperature changed code reset.
      The problem I have ran into in the past were past employers accusing me of wasting time not realizing I was preventing comebacks.

      @@advancedleveldiagnostics Another example, vehicle has a misfire, print mode 6 look at cat numbers before clearing codes (clearing codes clears mode 6 results) after misfire repair run monitors print mode 6 compare cat numbers, if close to failing inform customer. Same goes for cat codes, mode6 before and after repair and ran monitors.
      I like using these procedures.
