Looking forward to watching this video! Im from Canada and I spent my academic exchange semester in Belgium and am trying to move back. Have applied for EU citizenship through my father’s side and waiting to hear back. Hopefully that’ll open some doors! Thanks for the video!
Absolutely not 🤣😅 They work way too much - also every weekend. They are under a lot of pressure. I am also not very good at public speaking, nor do I have an opinion about everything. There are also too many politicians with political science/economy degrees, I really miss politicians with actual work experience outside politics (the one I work for has real work experience, not politics related, and that is amazing!). I see myself much more suited for an advisory role rather than becoming a MEP.
I personally have not had a blue book or a Schuman traineeship, but I think it really depends. It is definitely worth trying for, but put a lot of time and effort in your application well before deadline. It’s not something easily done, and there are lots of applicants! But it’s great if you get it 👍
So you're a personal assistant and a secretary? I just want to make sure because I'm preparing myself for a concour and having a PhD as I do I don't want to assist someone who might not have my academic level. Thank you for your video ❤
Thank you sm for this video! It’s my dream to work in the EU. I’m college and I’m learning French as my 2nd language all in hopes to work in the EU
So happy to hear! ☀️ I wish you all the best of luck with your job search 🙏🇪🇺

Happy that it could help you! 🙏☀️
Thank you for this video and tips! Have you ever thought about running for the office and becoming a MEP yourself?

Very helpful! How difficult do you think it is to get a Blue Book or a Schuman traineeship?

As an EU enthusiast i am disheartened to learn those details - but sadly not surprised.
Applying within the EU system can be really really tough!
If I'm indian but i get french citizenship. Can i work in the European parliament? I'm very passionate for it.

Is it necessary to have a Master's Degree to access internships/traineeships in the EU?
You need to have completed at least a Bachelor degree! ☀️ traineeships.ec.europa.eu/who-can-apply_en

I’m not a personal assistant, I work with policy making ☺️ as mentioned in the video, the position I have does not require a concours.
@@JustBrusselsThings thank you. It's good to know
