You‘re absolutely right. I love Jay Weinberg but I feel like all albums without Joey are missing something. I really like the songwriting on the new one and the vocals are pretty sick again compared to „the gray chapter“ but something is still missing and that has a lot to do with the drums and the overall groove

All Hope is Gone is the last Slipknot album that I ever listened. Honestly I listened and do my very best to likes Grey Chapter n the current album...but I don't know,it just not for me anymore. I think they just loss of something. I adore the way that Joey wrote the Slipknot music as whole.

Holy crap guys. I am not into this music whatsoever. I have been into rave music my entire life, but I do say, I have been very curious on this channel for the past week, or so. Really liking the vibes and energy to be found. Those guitar tones instill a rush, everytime I hear them and that drumming, especially the double bass was outstanding! =O
Every time i see someone do a slipknot guitar cover ish vid i gain MORE respect for Jim and Mick. No one really gets the little things they do that give the riffs something that’s undeniably slipknot. Little accentuations here and there, the subtle yet consistent vibrato etc. nothing against ola he’s amazing.
Not a big fan anymore, but imho vol 3 has some of the best riffs they ever did, I stopped listening to them in 04. Cool video ola, your tone is always splendid and fingers are impeccable

Mick has said he was a huge rush fan, and loved how in their music the drum patterns were used to affect the riffs.
And the fact they have 2 other percussionists besides the drummer.

Three Nil and The Nameless are criminally underrated. Easily my favorite songs from Vol. 3.
Playing it on Mick's signature adds a nice little touch. If I were Ola, I'd just have played it on a Solar but that whole 'authentic' musician thang.
