What people don’t seem to realize with the Red Sox is that their current rotation will not be their full season one. By June they should have a rotation of Sale, Eovaldi, Paxton, Pivetta, and Houck/Wacha/Hill/Whitlock, which is a very very good rotation. Not to mention that they have about 5 or 6 guys who start and that have high leverage bullpen caliber stuff that are in AA or AAA and will make an impact later on. The odds that there isn't a single team with 100+ wins is very low. Expect the Braves, Dodgers, White Sox or Bluejays to win close to or more than 100 times. Honestly if it's any year for a team to beat the win record, its this year with the Dodgers. They arguably have the best overall team in mlb history on paper.

The cardinals while I wish they added some bigger pitching names to bolster that side of ball, they still have the best defense in the game to back them up and if hicks can stay healthy once Flaherty and Reyes are back defense is enough to save the rest of the rotation. As for the offense Dylan Carlson started to breakout at the end of last year and will only get better this year. Arenado numbers will go back up after having an adjustment year last year and still putting up 100+ rbis not to mention Paul goldschmidt going off this spring and look for dejong to have a bounce back year he’s looked great this spring. And then there’s Tyler O’Neil who’s gonna put up 40 bombs this year and only continue to hit for more average. Young talent is off the charts with Gorman and Juan Yepez possibly making the roster as well. Just watch the Cardinals take the division keep sleeping on them!!

    • @DakodaOK
      @DakodaOK 2 года назад

As a fellow Cardinals fan, I sincerely can't understand why so many people keep putting faith in Reyes to perform under any level of pressure. I'm not even talking about the walkoff to L.A. against Chris Taylor - I'm talking about the walkoff to PITTSBURGH.
He gave up a walkoff to Yoshi Tsutsugo, a guy who had a whopping eight HRs last year. A guy who had more strikeouts than hits. Reyes can't even strike out two batters per every walk right now. He's rocking a career 6 H/9. He's not nearly what everyone keeps trying to say he is.

The astros are gonna be a really good, everyone in their batting order is an all-star and their whole starting rotation is young stars. They have worked on their bullpen and it is underrated. Tbh the Yankees are overrated and will never beat the astros when it matters. I think that Jeremy Pena will be a young stud and might not ever be a Carlos Correa but could get close. If JV can perform at a cy young level then we will be even scarier. And in my opinion, we don’t need Greinke that much. Kyle tucker is a dark horse mvp and Yordan Alvarez could be a 40 homer batting title winner if he stays healthy. We need framber Valdez to take the next step and be really good. Ryan Pressly is one of the most underrated players in baseball and I don’t see him falling off anytime soon. And Jake Meyers has been a star in his short career so far and getting him back will be crucial. We don’t have many weaknesses on the field and are only weak position is catcher. We should have done more in the off-season by getting an average catcher which we didn’t. Christian Javier can be a star out of the bullpen and has nasty stuff. Enoli Paredes has good stuff and has been good at times but needs to work on control. Dusty baker has been an amazing coach and everything we’ve needed. Luis Garcia was great last year and the best team contesting us is the angels in my opinion. But I think we can beat them.

I agree with most of your picks. I do think Seattle won't win 90 games again. They had such a huge negative run differential last year (-51). I even agree with most of your awards picks and playoffs. As a Dodger fan, I wouldn't be surprised to be in a great Series with Toronto, but I think it would go full 7. Although he's a rival, I'm super bummed about DeGrom. Maybe not as bummed as you, but you just have to appreciate his awesomeness on the mound.

Honestly, I’m gonna pick the White Sox vs Braves. Braves in 7 on a nail biting climax the likes we’ve never seen before.

    1. Phillies
    2. Mets
    3. Braves
    4. Marlins
    5. Nationals
Sorry but I don’t see brave finishing second or first. Phil’s and Mets will battle it out for first place. Mets pitching health to decide. Or the Phil’s batting will take it.

AL East: I feel like you should put the Red Sox in third instead of the Yankees since I feel like they could miss the playoff
AL Central: Agree with everyone just I feel like the Guardians would end up in 5th place
AL West: ik the Astros lost Correa but I feel like the Mariners could go first place.
NL East: agree with everything but I feel like the Phillies could push to the wild card play off.
NL Central: brewers has good pitching but I feel like they would end up in second place since the cardinals could end up coming in first place.
NL West: agree with everything but I feel like there could be a chance of the Rockies coming in third and the Padres in fourth.

I like what my Orioles are doing under Elias. The offense should be good. Mancini another year away from Cancer, Mullins is great, Mountcastle should take a big step forward, hopefully Santander can stay healthy and find his 2020 form, and we also got solid guys like Jorge Mateo who was good in SD just couldn't get playing time Ramon Urias is having a solid spring and Austin Hays is solid as well. The only thing I need to see is, are ANY of these Young pitchers outside of gonna take that next step? Zac Lowther, Dean Kremer, Michael Bauuman, Keegan Akin, Tyler Wells, Bruce Zimmerman I just need one or two of these guys to show consistent quality stuff to pair with John Means and the up and coming Grayson and DL Hall.

Simplifying the White Sox bullpen as just Hendricks, Bummer and Gravemen is selling them short. They have a train of good arms in that pen. The White Sox bullpen will be the strength of that team. I'm a Jay's fan fwiw
