I made the conscious decision to start dressing well in public some years ago and to this day I still get compliments when I'm out and about.
Some of what you mention I knew already, the others I'm definitely going to try.

I also think buying cheap clothes may not be the best option long term. They look good the first week but after a month, the neck will look all loosy and the color will fade away. Whereas if you invest a little more money and buy I good quality tshirt it's gonna look good for a looong time.

Another way to do colors, or tones: 1-2 main tones + a bit of accent tones.
5:05 black and white + khaki hat
5:17 Leon: black and white + brown holster. Matilda: green and black + red hat.
5:38 this looks fine because we see a brown box he sits on. Would look worse without that box. He's gotta wear brown boots (notice buttons on his jacket).
5:48 half-body looks are incomplete to be perceived properly, but the tones in this picture are aesthetically pleasing because we see 2 main tones - fabric and skin - and small accents. Notice how this image would be kinda dull without red bracelet on boy's hand and white bow on girl's head.
5:58 navy-blue and white +a bunch of accents of different textures and colors. The shirt is hidden enough to work as an accent along with his pocket square and bracelet and watch, there are sunglasses too. Lots of things going on here, at the edge of falling apart, had to remove his belt. Brown boots: the beauty of brown is it can be stealthy, here it blends with the very tanned and open upper chest. Definitely not a minimalist style, it's posh and festive.

This is a brilliant video, i'd like to see more of these. Really enjoy your content, I've lost three stone since Christmas and need to 'find my style', i've always just wore a polo and jeans or sportswear, which is kinda in the boundaries of what you've said colour wise, but none of these things fit me no more or are really a fashion. I like the idea of the simple colours you recommended and the styles too. I think i sometimes dress like a chav or younger version of me, i need to start wearing things that a 35 yo would wear, I've added Pinterest to my main screen and will start looking on there for inspo daily! I dress generally well, but never knew about color theory. I’m getting older and am really vibing with the basics. I’m still into distressed jeans, but pretty much wear white shoes and one (or half) color tees.

I wear white T-shirts a lot. I also wear my white wife betters with an unbuttoned short sleeve shirt. My favorite is a kaki silk short sleeve shirt unbuttoned. The wind makes it flow around you exposing your waist line. I'm a very physically fit 69 year old that has been resistance training for over 47 years. I also have videos on youtube.

There's one thing you could have mentioned in this video as well is your skin tone. I learned that your skin tone matters and certainty things look better with pale skin, tanned skin, black skin and so on.
hey wanhee, can i ask where you purchased your pull-up station you have at home in the background of your video?? I am looking for something simple like the one you have.
Can you make skin routine for men? I struggle with acne, acne scars and pimples a lot.
Not a fan of black slacks, to me it says "service industry", like a waiter or a big box store employee. I prefer charcoal or navy. It's a bit less contrast too, maybe a bit easier to match with other colours. However, black jeans with a white t-shirt works really well I think, in a kind of a rebellious, rocker look.
Also get a few light (how light will depend on your skin tone) grey t-shirts if you usually wear a white t-shirt under a white dress shirt. The sleeve demarcation won't show as much since it will blend with your skin.

1. Drop to a Low Body Fat (0:47)
- Makes your clothes look better on you
2. Focus on the fundamentals (1:12)
- Fundamental Pieces: White/Black T-Shirts; /Indigo Jeans; Navy Blazer; White/LBlue Oxford Shirt; Beige Chinos; Black Slacks; All white/black Sneakers; Black Polo Neck)
- Fundamental Colours: White/Black/Beige/Khaki/Navy/Grey/Brown
- Fundamental Fits: e.g. Lewis 501, Straight relaxed fit,
3. Colour Theory (4:07)
- Don't dress with more than 3 colours
- Black/White count as 0.5 Colours
4. Fabrics Matter (6:27)
- Make sure your fabrics match with each other. Dont wear a raincoat with linen shorts.
5. Copy well dressed people (7:44)
- Copy the style of well dressed ppl on Pinterest, Insta and see which Colours/Fits they are wearing
6. Tones (8:48)
- Tone on Tone / Tone in Tone
- e.g. LBlue on DBlue / LGreen on DGreen / Different Shades of Grey
- When matching colours make sure they have the same intensity. Don't combine a LBlue Jeans w/ a DGreen Top. Or do, what the f do I know about fashion
7. Body Shape (10:33)
- If you're lean - stay lean
- Wear loose stuff if you're thicc
8. Rule of Thirds and proportions (11:24)
- Legs/Lower Torso 2/3
- Upper Body 1/3
- Tuck in the shirt helps achieving this ratio
9. Avoid rookie errors (12:32)
- Buying and wearing flashy things
- Following random trends (I will never get rid of my ripped jeans, don't even try to convince me)
- Think of your body as a canvas: Stick to the classy, timeless things
10. Enjoy it and don't stress (15:26)
- Don't take life too serious.
