Its insane that shit that 343 do in the expanded lore and just ignore in the games. You kill off a playable character in one of the halo games and have the return of and final death of the Didact, one of the most significant characters in the Halo Universe. What in Gods names.
something about walking through a nearly destoryed city with rain and just pure loneliness with dead bodies around made me wonder on how sad this world were to be in real life.
I miss the old Halo, the ones loaded to the brim with easter eggs, the ones I could play split-screen with my brother and get a bunch of my friends online. Finding hidden weapons and vehicles, blazing through legendary, laughing as we accidentally naded each other and tried to be the hero. The ones where you could explore for hours on your own, finding every single eater easter egg no matter how small or complex. Hugging ledges trying to find a way to get out of the map, finding remnants bungie left behind for you because they knew what you wanted, we were the fans. Jumping feet first into hell, guns blazing, or sneaking by low on health. Watching your team mates slaughter the guy who was bagging you then speed bagging over him. I miss the good old days. It's not the same now, just a hollow shell of what it used to be. Where is the love from devs, the community is gone cause they tried to reinvent the wheel...they took something great and threw it in the dumpster. Now it might never be the same... As I write this I feel homesick, because our home is lost. Thank you for the memories we made, I'll always remember them. "For us, the storm has passed. The war is over. And let us never forget those who journeyed into the howling dark, and did not return. For their decision required courage beyond measure. Sacrifice, an unshakeable conviction that their fight... *our* fight... was elsewhere. As we start to rebuild, this hillside will remain barren, a memorial to heroes fallen. They enobled all of us, and they shall not be forgotten." "A hero need not speak. When he is gone, the world will speak for him." Heroes never die... Sincerely, a Halo fan.
Abel Garcia It washed ice cold over me as I read your text. We all miss Halo.......Yet the new generation of gamers is ruining Halo, Cod and other beloved franchises all by themselfes....... Rip splitscreen you were the first part to fall and the infestation by microtransactions has already begun..... :/
The feelings I had while playing the old Halo's is something I miss dearly. It was just so simple buy yet had such a unique feel to it. Man it's crazy to look back on those days and memories, feels like a dream. Cheers bro.
I travel at night when i can. One day i intend to get a bush plane so i can land it on a lakeside or a faraway mountainside or something and watch the scenery.
Growing up in High School, being 12 when Halo 2 came out and being in College at 18 with Reach; I grew up with Halo. I've no personal connection with 343's Halo's. For me, Chief is still floating in space lost, and the storyline simple and not over complicated.
L.A.W. Gaming It's too much, the new Halo games are like a big budget fan production. It's destroyed the mythical suspense around the Forerunners by bringing them back. It took away the threat of the Halo Rings by introducing the Guardians, I spent the past 10 years trying to prevent a Halo ring going off but nah, Guardians are the real threat. The promeateans are a horrible enemy to fight, they're no fun at all. The whole backstory to ancient humans fighting the forerunners and fighting the flood and starting ancient wars and memory dream machines just was too much, it messed up the lore. Halo was fine as it was. Halo 5's storyline and level design is a testament to how weak this new storyline is. And I've been a fan since the very beginning, I remember being 7 years old seeing Halo being first introduced on a crappy Windows 98 with a 56k modem buffering speed! 🤣
AnglianPB The back story existed when bungie owned the franchise. All I'm hearing is opinions without much substance so I'm going to take it you were never a real fan of the lore. The forerunner trilogy is some of the best science fiction written in the past decade or so. I've been a fan since halo 2 and the lore hasn't been "ruined". Also halo 5 for the most part had pretty good level design. It's main problem was the story. Halo 4 had some iffy level design and gameplay but the story was probably the best in the series. 343 has been listening to the fans and halo wars 2 is a clear indicator of that.
My first x360 game after playing halo ce&2 for maany years on the original in my childhood... this game will always have a special place in my heart, especially the soundtrack!
I play again and again often, not always, but I enjoy and appreciate the game for what it is when I do. Halo 3: ODST is one of my favorites, mainly because of the setting.
Same actually that's how I put this into my "Watch Later" and forgot about it until my phone goes "Hey! Don't forget to watch this video in your watch later!" XD
My opinion my favorite halo game... gives me the creeps walking the streets alone when playing as the rookie at one point u do meet up with pin down marines next to a warthog but they get blown to bits which made me angry cus i was sick and tired of trying to find anyone else that was human so i didnt feel so scared. once playing as the others where their was human AIs i would keep as much of them alive because i didnt want to be alone cus it always creeped me out... but 10/10 for lonesome atmosphere
I always play this song on a rainy day, giving me hope everytime for if times get rough. Thank you, for this video. It really helps a lot. It's like a killer for depression. This really helped me with that. Again, thank you.
It's been a while since ODST dropped. Ten whole years, this coming September. Lot of things have come to Halo, lot of things have gone. Rookie made his last drop - feet first, of course -along the route, and in a certain way, that's maybe a bit symbolic of how Halo has changed. It's certainly not the same world we once knew, for better or worse. But we'll always be able to come back here, listen to the rain and the music, and be transported back to those dark New Mombasa streets from 2009. Feel once again the fear, the excitement, the intrigue of investigating the city after dark in the thick of the Covenant occupation.
Every once in a while I come back to this thread for comments like this. It’s always 2009 in the streets of New Mombasa. Also to add, good ol’ Marty O’Donnell teased unsolved Easter eggs featuring the engineer glyphs in ODST. The legend of Halo lives on, even decades after its inception.
Spooky.carter It's all within the book New Blood. Despite what idiot fanboys will tell you it's fantastic and continues the story of buck and alpha nine.
Brandon The killed off one charater in one of the books. His death was handled very well too and was very emotional. Halo isn't a cartoon, you can't expect everything to be a happy ending.
Hard to believe this game came out 7 Years ago I Remember i was at The Cafeteria In the 3rd grade and my mom Brought me My Lunch box (She was a Volunteer there at the parent center) And after she gave me My Lunch box she whisperd Into my ear "I Got you Halo I Love you" then i remember going on with my day and getting home And playing this game And Getting terrified At The Games atmosphere and Shitting myself when i ran out of Bullets for my Silenced SMG This was a amazing Halo and I Wish i could go back and play this masterpiece for the first time again ("":
This was such a good lone wolf game. It brought a good feel of a lone character tasked with an important mission in a war bigger than yourself. You felt important and insignificant at the same time playing the rookie.
My favorite part of this game is at the beginning you drop and you're falling for a min, then all of a sudden you here "Radiation!!" and the covenant carrier jumps, and if you look closely through the front window of your pod you can SEE In Amber Clad jump with the carrier! So awesome to see an event that was also in another Halo game but from a completely different character's perspective!!
I remember bringing my friend of my neighborhood at 10 pm and play the campaign on split screen, listen to this while roaming in the streets at night, raining and with a friend? God Damn Childhood! We finished playing until midnight
Dude, this is what halo should be, I hate new halo. It's so generic. Oh well hope 343 make some sort of success and turn to the old formula This is one of the reasons I loved this game Thank you for putting this up And WOW I miss halo, DANG
QuantumFrost They have one shot to make Halo 6 great and send this next trilogy out with a bang. That depends on if they actually listen to their fanbase or stick to their current failing formula
Glad to know that people still come here to listen to this masterpiece, I’m pretty young but i enjoy halo a lot especially the older ones and the amazing music the games have
@@dottyplayss2517 me too halo was the first game i ever played i never got bored of it i wish bungie continued to make games so we would've seen their verisons of halo 4 and 5
such a nice soundtrack, by far my favorite in the halo franchise, I really loved halo ODST, the only halo game I will always come back too after sooo many years. not only I loved ODSTs, I enjoyed the fact that we experienced what it was like to be one. I can say it wasn't easy. it feels way more militarized than other halo games as your not in a huge Spartan suit taking out what ever moves. this felt more real and exciting to play. when ever you sore a brute chieftain, It made me think I was helpless. its kinda anoying the way halo turned out in my opinion. well... all I can say is well done btw. I enjoyed this soundtrack, it really put me back into Mombasa just listening to it. Great work
This and Reach are two of my three favorite halo games. I love ODST. It is an emotional experience for the lonesome. This soundtrack couldn't be better.
"I remember how this war started, what your kind did to mine... But you have my thanks... for standing by him til the end. Hard to believe he's gone" "Were it so easy" "Shipmaster! We're outnumbered 3 to 1!" "Then it is an even fight" We're not leaving him here" "No. You're not" "I'll find cortana's solution... And I'll bring it back" "Absolutely unacceptable!" "Wake up, buttercup" The quotes we all know and love... Feet first into hell, trooper
I cannot believe that this exists. It's beautiful! Thank you for making this. I love this soundtrack and the rain just completes it. It's perfect driving music.
Halo 3 ODST is one of my most treasured games and my favorite of all time. The atmosphere, the music, the gameplay. It was all simply amazing. The production of this game had no flaws. (that I could see, inb4 BUT THEY DID THIS AND THAT) I loved this so much even though I play it damn near 3 years ago, now, I think. I revisited it over winter break and relived my love of this game. Not the Halo series. This game is a standalone from the series. It's a very unique game from the others- though you could never say why aside from the open world, but more than that, it felt so alive. The other Halo games are very linear... but this one. this one will always have a place in my heart, truly.
I remember when this game first came out me, my friend, and my brothers friend stayed up until 6 in the morning playing it on legendary. I remember dying over and over while fighting the scarab in banshees..I love halo, so many memories..
To this day, this is still my favorite Halo soundtrack and favorite Halo game. Loved this one. I wish 343 would do more with the ODSTs, but it just won't happen
Reminds me of the level 343 Guilty Spark. The rainy swamp. I remember, the Christmas in which I got CE Anniversary, I looked outside my window and it was all cloudy and raining, and I have a Texas palm right outside my window. I told my brother it looked like the swamp from that mission, and this all gives me that same feeling.
Well... If you talk about me... Or my level... The flood is spreading though... Can your help me to stop it if I play this OST while you destroy thousand of Combat forms ?
This is such an underrated game. People like to brush it off as some cheap knockoff cash grab and speed run the game without looking at what it has to offer. Sadie's story was very well written and it added some hidden stuff in the end (alternative cut scene and different event in the last mission). The atmosphere and aesthetic of New Mombasa is unparalleled in any video game made before or since with only maybe the one new Alexandria mission in Halo Reach creating the same atmosphere. No game quite can make you feel so alone or make a single night feel so long and stretched out. Almost what it would feel like to be in a real situation like that.
This soundtrack is such a vibe. Whenever I have to pull an all-nighter (I work from home), I throw this on, dim the lights, and put on a thick robe while sipping a warm cup of coffee. Then I just melt away and feel so relaxed and nostalgic.
This game had the most beautiful somber tone. I loved wandering the ruined streets of New Mombasa, hiding from Covenant patrols, scavenging for ammo, uncovering a mystery while the most haunting noir since Cowboy Bebop played in the background. Rain-soaked, shattered, a city on fire and the lone soldier just trying to find his friends. ODST was a fucking treasure.
Tbh this Halo had the best soundtrack of the series and this game overall is so underrated, its also one of the best halo games of the series in my opinion, I've always loved this game, it is so much fun
Im only 11yo, but when i played this game...it was AWESOME!!! The music, the atmosphere, the clues and more...like holy shit I'm begging 343i to make a HALO 3 ODST 2 or something idk. But the days of Xbox 360 are gone same thing with odst.
18:58 lmao wtf so much nostalgia! I have amazing memories playing this game with my brother on coop for the first time. In my opinion, it always felt like the black sheep of the halo series, which is why I love it. Last game me and my brother have played together, and now he's a hero serving in the army. I'll always cherish this
@@ImErexh Yeah im scared for it, I dont think it will feel like halo. I also dont think it goes uphill from Halo 5, i think its just gonna get worse. Which is fine honestly, if the peak of Halo was ODST, 3, and Reach, ill take it.
I remember i got this game when I was 6 on Christmas, wondering when they made a new halo game. But I was 6 at the time so the night setting scared me. But I got used of it and it had a big impact. Like any kid I played outside and pretended I was a a hero but odst was most of my imagination since he was a normal human being and not a super soldier( like the chief). It felt....right and I loved to just grab a piece of wood and act like it was an SMG and play( especially if it was raining that day). Man those were the days
Man I remember posting my GT to RUclips videos offering help with the vid master challenge for this game and got so many requests lol good times, good times.
So many great memories in this game.. Staying up all night playing with friends on campaign , multiplayer , firefight , working for legendary achievements. Laughing through the Mics and having the best conversations... man those were the days. I feel like gaming isn't the same anymore... This was a time when games were so much more attaching. I am glad I was able to be alive during that time and experience this game. This game is such a classic with many other games back than. This was my childhood. Kids will never know about this in the future. Halo will never be the same.
fucking sad shit, as we get older we realize that some people just outgrow some stuff, or they move on, or they pass away. We have a guy in our discord who sadly passed away and Its so surreal to see
@@engineerisdead1303 one of my friends on discord recently died. he had an aneurism. he would always make jokes about wanting to fuck me, as i always said im the ugliest fuck in the city. i would kill to see one last time: "SOUP WANNA FUCK?!?" i miss you charlie. p.s. i still dont wanna fuck.
Seriously I am considering buying an Xbox just for the sake of getting back the experience of Halo.. Truly one of the best series I've ever had the honour of playing
Dear humanity, we regret being alien bastards, we regret comin to earth, and we most definitely regret that the corp just blew up our raggedy ass fleet!
I really hope 343 Industries plans on releasing another heavily-atmospheric game. Would love to see a game like ODST with awesome 2017 graphics. Especially if they can include actual rain. I want a game to have a torrential downpour of weather someday.
Ok Marty here's what we were thinking: It's Halo. It's a stormy night. In Africa. You play a detective. You're alone and you're surrounded. The clues you look for are about what battles your lost team fought during the day. We need music to fit a Halo game, in Africa, at night, where you play a noire detective that finds clues about battles that happened earlier that day. Can you do it?
i think that the halo series along with the gears of war one was the only 2 keeping me with microsoft, now that they are both gone i miss those days that those games made me turn on my xbox, now it's there, in the corner always off.
this game freaked me the fuck out with not seeing any enemies for the first bit. it makes you uneasy. just walking through a dark empty city. great game :)
This game's hidden beauty is it's quiet sombre tone. The city is dead. Halo 3 is over, so the franchise is dead too. You're walking through the skeleton of a monolith. A titan once stood where only death and aliens linger. Brandish your weapon and quit your napping. Follow Virgil out of this hell and uncover the truth
Mombasa is just a shadow of its former self your lost on your own trying to track down your team in the end you end up realising that you may never find them and continue your mission
The intro just made me have flashbacks and a few tears. I miss the days while i was back in high school. Geeking out at a friends house or staying up late nights enjoying a game we all loved.... Halo
Deference for darkness has to be the strangest piece cause it just went from being soothing to sounding like you're out in the field in combat like what the hell bring back that soothing saxaphone and tear jerking piano!
Bro just walking around in a destroyed city, team in the wind, all major forces pulled back, and dead marines and police everywhere. Just hits you on an emotional level.
Hey bret. This is a really cool little video. I always loved ODST, probs my favorite halo game ever. So to have this and be able to play it in the background really brings back that nostalgia and alot of memories of happy days. Keep up the good work :)
This was the first Halo game I played when I was 12/ 13. I'm very glad to have started off the franchise with such an amazing game. I just love the nostalgia I get from listening to the soundtracks of both ODST and Reach, everytime I hear those first few notes I get the sudden urge to pop a disc in and get lost in the game for hours.
Imo the substance of halo truly died _after_ 4. As bad as the fourth was, it was nowhere near as bad as it could have been. Plus, the story of 4 was hinted as far back as Halo 2 with easter eggs, and halo 3 with the terminals. Just think of the fact that once, if you got a percentage of players who either mainly played campaign or multiplayer, the split was very even. That was the beauty of Halo, despite a pretty linear story, everyone could play it again and again and love it. Now imagine the percentages of Halo 5. 5 is when it felt like 343 took a direct u-turn and twisted the series into something that really annihilated the original fanbase. Don't get me wrong, I love 5. It's a great game, but it's not a great Halo game. Bungie followed their formula of complete storydriven games through subliminals since Marathon.
If yall are Radiohead fans check out my new video! Its a mega-mix extended version of KID A MNESIA. Drop a like, it would help me out! Thanks!

I agree, I think the tone of the whole game in general is rainy, so I figured I would add the rain to do exactly that.
Yeah, that's why I love the rookie levels best, because it is in night, and it has rain, which I love. :P

But we'll always be able to come back here, listen to the rain and the music, and be transported back to those dark New Mombasa streets from 2009. Feel once again the fear, the excitement, the intrigue of investigating the city after dark in the thick of the Covenant occupation.
Agreed, I cant wait for ODST to be rereleased on PC so I can feel the feelings you describe again.
I actually can't believe they killed of so many members of alpha nine... the worst part is that they killed them off in the books...
chocolatesquirrel100 It was in the books so i dont class it as spoilers, 343 suggested every one read the books before playing halo 5
chocolatesquirrel100
only rookie died but durch retired and mickey joined the rebels
Spooky.carter new blood is the book you're looking for. I won't give you any spoilers though.
18:58, Difference for darkness is my favorite in the entire soundtrack. The first half of it to be specific.
Doc Tobas I love that track too!
its a fan favorite all around
Hard to believe this game came out 7 Years ago
I Remember i was at The Cafeteria In the 3rd grade and my mom Brought me My Lunch box (She was a Volunteer there at the parent center)
And after she gave me My Lunch box she whisperd Into my ear "I Got you Halo I Love you"
then i remember going on with my day and getting home And playing this game And Getting terrified At The Games atmosphere and Shitting myself when i ran out of Bullets for my Silenced SMG
This was a amazing Halo and I Wish i could go back and play this masterpiece for the first time again ("":

Thanks, glad you like it!
So awesome to see an event that was also in another Halo game but from a completely different character's perspective!!
i still listen to this when im studying thanks!
+Latino Heat I'm glad it helps you out man!
Right on man. I listen when I work during the wee hours of night/morning.

Latino Heat

I remember bringing my friend of my neighborhood at 10 pm and play the campaign on split screen, listen to this while roaming in the streets at night, raining and with a friend? God Damn Childhood! We finished playing until midnight
Dude, this is what halo should be, I hate new halo. It's so generic. Oh well hope 343 make some sort of success and turn to the old formula
This is one of the reasons I loved this game
Thank you for putting this up
And WOW I miss halo, DANG
QuantumFrost They have one shot to make Halo 6 great and send this next trilogy out with a bang. That depends on if they actually listen to their fanbase or stick to their current failing formula
QuantumFrost well hol up, what about halo infinite?
They are trying to go back to a similar graphic style. Let's just hope it works.
Michael RObinson gameplay still hasn’t been released
I’m from the future guys Halo 6 (; is a SUCCESS! 343 did it they actually made a good game
Nothing beats the feeling of being completely alone in New Mombasa and hearing this perfect soundtrack.
Glad to know that people still come here to listen to this masterpiece, I’m pretty young but i enjoy halo a lot especially the older ones and the amazing music the games have
Damn i’ll say it but as an a young adult it’s nice to see young kids play my childhood games, i hope they bring you joy.
@@aerosbertt2814 Thank you, i enjoy Halo a lot especially halo 2, it’s been my favorite ever since i was introduced to it.
@@dottyplayss2517 me too halo was the first game i ever played i never got bored of it i wish bungie continued to make games so we would've seen their verisons of halo 4 and 5

Yeah no problem!
such a nice soundtrack, by far my favorite in the halo franchise, I really loved halo ODST, the only halo game I will always come back too after sooo many years. not only I loved ODSTs, I enjoyed the fact that we experienced what it was like to be one. Great work
but man, when you kick that brute's ass, its ten times better as an ODST than as a spartan.
@@irishboy6965 I wonder if it would be 100x better if they ever made a horror game where the player is just a simple marine.
Loving the atmosphere, brilliant idea to be honest.
This and Reach are two of my three favorite halo games. I love ODST. It is an emotional experience for the lonesome. This soundtrack couldn't be better.
"I remember how this war started, what your kind did to mine... But you have my thanks... for standing by him til the end. Hard to believe he's gone"
"Were it so easy"
"Shipmaster! We're outnumbered 3 to 1!"
"Then it is an even fight"
We're not leaving him here"
"No. You're not"
"I'll find cortana's solution... And I'll bring it back"
"Absolutely unacceptable!"
"Wake up, buttercup"
The quotes we all know and love...

A hero never dies In my book, may your legend live on good sir, you would’ve made an outstanding Spartan. Chief is proud.
7:42 always gives me chills, remembering looking out the window of your pod as you drop from orbit.
(that I could see, inb4 BUT THEY DID THIS AND THAT)
I loved this so much even though I play it damn near 3 years ago, now, I think.
Glad it brought back some nostalgia XD
Well... If you talk about me... Or my level... The flood is spreading though... Can your help me to stop it if I play this OST while you destroy thousand of Combat forms ?
@@acescorpion142 Yes, sir!
@@ispilloil We need to be quick, like your answer ! Take this shotgun and go kick some ass !
There was an alternate cutscene?
This video makes me shed a few tears, this game was so good and it brings me back to my younger days, thank you.
same.
This soundtrack is such a vibe. Whenever I have to pull an all-nighter (I work from home), I throw this on, dim the lights, and put on a thick robe while sipping a warm cup of coffee. Then I just melt away and feel so relaxed and nostalgic.
This game made me feel so cold and wet on the inside, I LOVED IT!
That name tho ;)
Wet? 😏💧💧💧💧💧💧👌
Uh
Very wrong.chose of words
28:24 I keep coming back for this part - so good!
*Starts raining outside my house*
Time to listen to my favorite Halo OST
This game had the most beautiful somber tone. I loved wandering the ruined streets of New Mombasa, hiding from Covenant patrols, scavenging for ammo, uncovering a mystery while the most haunting noir since Cowboy Bebop played in the background. Rain-soaked, shattered, a city on fire and the lone soldier just trying to find his friends.
ODST was a fucking treasure.
Totally agree, that same vibe is why I like rainy Seattle WA so much at night, minus the fear and the apocalyptic vibes, its the closest you can get
I want to go back in time and relive this with no memory of how the game ends. One of my favorites
I've never played this. Purchased the mac collection halo for xb1. Cant wait to play this halo.
how did you get 500 subs?
Tbh this Halo had the best soundtrack of the series and this game overall is so underrated, its also one of the best halo games of the series in my opinion, I've always loved this game, it is so much fun
Im only 11yo, but when i played this game...it was AWESOME!!! The music, the atmosphere, the clues and more...like holy shit I'm begging 343i to make a HALO 3 ODST 2 or something idk. But the days of Xbox 360 are gone same thing with odst.
watch ur laguage little boy
+Alex Nelson whatchu want, nigga?
Please... trust me when I say halo was lost in 2012 you had to be there when halo was itself awhile ago. But it's good to see kids are liking halo
I agree, everyone can agree that halo was lost at Halo 5, but I think it was lost after 4.
Pvt.N00b Yeah I agree. When Halo 4 came out and most of the other games lost population, it was a hard hit to the existing Halo games.
18:58 lmao wtf so much nostalgia! I have amazing memories playing this game with my brother on coop for the first time. In my opinion, it always felt like the black sheep of the halo series, which is why I love it. Last game me and my brother have played together, and now he's a hero serving in the army. I'll always cherish this
Love the beginning to the music in 15:51, then to 18:15, cool stuff, bro. ^_^
“We lost. Lost Everything. There’s nothing left for us here, wherever here is.”- the halo infinite pilot.
I'm so excited for Infinite! the fact that its on a new engine scares me a little though.. I still want it to FEEL like Halo :/
@@ImErexh Yeah im scared for it, I dont think it will feel like halo. I also dont think it goes uphill from Halo 5, i think its just gonna get worse. Which is fine honestly, if the peak of Halo was ODST, 3, and Reach, ill take it.
@@engineerisdead1303 i wanna see a sequel to ODST, but i dont want 343i to do it.
If you did not cry when you played this game the first time, I don't know what to say to you
I remember i got this game when I was 6 on Christmas, wondering when they made a new halo game. Man those were the days
lol!
RelievedMetal Did the same.
i did a cardboard armor too.
Man I remember posting my GT to RUclips videos offering help with the vid master challenge for this game and got so many requests lol good times, good times.
ODST Rook E-63 Reporting for duty.
When you look at your old friends profiles and its says 5 years inactive.

I really hope 343 Industries plans on releasing another heavily-atmospheric game. Would love to see a game like ODST with awesome 2017 graphics. Especially if they can include actual rain. I want a game to have a torrential downpour of weather someday.
Even better a odst 2
Ok Marty here's what we were thinking:
It's Halo.
Alastoro gears 4 is great from what I saw and forge is very lively, they are beaten but not gone
gears 4 was amazing. i loved it
Alastoro Neither Halo nor Gears are gone?
As long as bungie's halo games still have their multiplayer online it is still alive
Had tons of fun playing firefight with my cousin back in the day.
Some of the opening parts of the overture sound like Halo: Reach, but with jazz music.
this game freaked me the fuck out with not seeing any enemies for the first bit. it makes you uneasy. just walking through a dark empty city. great game :)
Actually this took place during the begining of the events of Halo 2.
And was released after Halo 3
Mombasa is just a shadow of its former self your lost on your own trying to track down your team in the end you end up realising that you may never find them and continue your mission
Absolutely.. moving.
Halo 3: ODST is truly a gem, it is so terribly underrated..
This game’s gloomy atmosphere and soundtrack combined makes it by far possibly my favorite Halo game

Hey bret. This is a really cool little video. I always loved ODST, probs my favorite halo game ever. So to have this and be able to play it in the background really brings back that nostalgia and alot of memories of happy days. Keep up the good work :)
ColdGenesis Thanks for the comment, Im glad it brings back some memories for you!
They just don't make games like this anymore.
Bungie followed their formula of complete storydriven games through subliminals since Marathon.
this game, was something else entirely. You actually felt alone, in that world. Extremely rare to come across a game like this one.
