Hey Christine! Thanks for tuning in and leaving a comment. It means a lot to us. That coyote was totally unexpected - we weren't even sure what we were seeing at first. Luckily Matt had a long lens on his camera and was able to safely capture this beautiful creature on film.
Love seeing your journey and that breakfast that Matt cooked up looked delicious! Your content helps me reconnect with the amazing beauty that's out in the world after sitting in my office looking out my window at the concrete jungle. Thanks so much!
We're so glad to hear your reaction to our video because that is exactly the intention behind our work. It means so much that you have watched our video and been such an avid supporter since the beginning. Yes! Matt's breakfasts are amazing at home and in the van!
Beautiful footage as always! The water was so clear. So many sea lions! When you released the video I was camping at Morro Bay State Park. We went to San Simeon on Saturday and watched in fascination a congregation of male elephant seals. Amazing creatures.
Oh my.. I could watch those images all day! The music you played while watching the seals, it sounded a bit like Michael Jackson's Earth Song. Maybe it wasn't, but it sure gave me the same feeling. Amazing. So uplifting a video, thank you. Suzane
Wow, thank you! We're so excited that you enjoyed the video and the music. I'm afraid we couldn't afford the copyright for Michael Jackson, but I'm glad our choice from EpidemicSound gave you the same feeling. Thank you as always for supporting our videos by watching and commenting on them. We truly appreciate it.
Amazing!! You two never disappoint! 6:46 - I'll trade you my 30C with next to no breeze for that "cold" wind, Lol. I did not know about the Sea Lion caves, and might have to do another Oregon/West Coast trip before my big "epic" road trip I hope to embark on in a year - 18 months or so. We have Sea Lions at the Quay in North Van, who sometimes like to sun on the wharf next to where Mr. Washington (of Washington Marine Group) likes to park his luxury yacht(s) -- always fun(ny) to see. Cheers!...from North Vancouver PS -- that Coyote was a real prima-donna, or was he staring you down? Such a great still shot!
Thanks! Concerning the weather - I (Kristina) had no complaints about the cool temps. I love the NW weather even though it was cooler than expected. It was so nice to escape the summer heat. When I lived in Seattle we used to see the Sea Lions in various places. One of their favorite hang outs was at the Ballard Locks, munching on the salmon. The coyote was actually pretty shy. He/she was curled up in the sand just hanging out. It was cool when she turned and looked straight at the camera. Matt did a great job of capturing the awestruck moment. I hope you get the chance to get to the west coast some time soon and good luck preparing for your epic road trip. Maybe we'll cross paths down the road.
Awesome video!! The coyote footage took my breath away!
