What started as a hobby quickly blossomed into a thriving business. Nelson Soapery was founded in 2020 in Warragul by Rhondajane Nelson, a passionate entrepreneur with a love for creating luxurious bath and skincare products.
At Nelson Soapery, we specialize in crafting artisan soaps using premium ingredients. We believe that self-care should be a sensory experience, which is why we carefully select ingredients like fair trade organic shea and cocoa butter to nourish your skin. Our soaps are infused with unique scents, such as warm amber and vanilla pod or calming pine needles and lavender, to transport you to a place of relaxation and tranquility.
Our commitment to quality extends beyond our soaps. We also offer a range of candles and skincare products designed to enhance your well-being. Each item is meticulously crafted with the utmost care and attention to detail. After learning a craft and continuing to learn we decided to open a you tube channel to help other small businesses and create community and we welcome you all.💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

Hi! I'm a newbie trying to start a business/learn how to start....
I am nervous about dos, and I'm genuinely curious (I'm not criticizing you at all :) ) ... If shea butter only lasts on the shelf for a year, and using old butters increases your chances of dos, how do you store your shea butter? Or do you not have to store it for that long, because you're using up all the butter that you buy within 6 mos (or quicker?)... what's the "best practices" for storage in large quantities?
Do you have a video for your S&P's?
Also... your shop is LOVELY. I sincerely appreciate all the info you share, and I wish you well!!!
Hi there. I usually use the butters up fast so no need to worry but once they are in the soap with the lye they change due to chemical reaction.
At the start i had dos but changing my recipe to 50% olive and caster with butters has stopped DOS.
I store butters in large containers with lids on in a dry dark area
Thank you so much for your response!
I had to laugh when you said, in your latest video about your garage-to-shop project that: your husband enjoys woodworking as a hobby, and you're always giving him projects to do! (I do the same thing to my husband - who also enjoys woodworking as a hobby! Hahahahhaa! @@NelsonInteriorSoapery
