Anything with authetic fish and chips or union jacks on is a tourist trap it will most likely be over priced and not great anyway. Instead either go to the sea side (toursisty places like black pool will be overpriced but not necessarily awful) or ones away from London or the big cities (if it looks a bit dodgy then that’s fine). Small pubs with names that are called something like the kings head or the three spoons also are a safe bet. Prices may vary were you are.

I always use the Chipolatas from Lidl when I cook sausage n mash, they're delicious and good quality too, would recommend 100% Also, with Chipolatas being so thin, they cook much faster and caramelise better too
