I, as an educator in the urban schools, agree that the emphasis on reading must be a priority. I don’t like the fact that the title of this podcast is misleading and in being so, it dilutes the power of your message. imo
It's an even greater challenge these days with calculators, Google, chat GPT and other forms of knowledge at your fingertips. Everyone and anyone thinks they are the smartest person in the room. META glasses that let you look at something or someone and feed the info into your ear, makes it hard to convince people they have to learn to read or do basic math. When the power goes out or the satellites fail readers will become superheroes. ~ Former Adult Education Teacher.
